  1. QJ71C24N INPUT PROBLEM

I am using QJ71C24N to communicate with my devices, ASCII mode. I can send my output to the device by using non-protocol method ( G.output). However,  when I using G.input to try to receive the feedback from my device. The signal seen not stable to receive by my PLC. Sometime can get the full signal sometime can't and sometime I get some messy signal. Is there any setting I need to set to get the stable feedback from my device? Please anyone can help me to solve this problem?
  2. Hello,  I got Allen-Bradley  1769-L36ERMS, AB Powerflex 755 and 20-750-S3 safety card.  According to: https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/946912 „"There is NO Integrated Motion / CIP Motion support with 20-750-S3 safety card” so I want to run hardwired emergency shutdown system.  How can I configure this module with safety card in PLC?
  3. Hi this might be stupid question, but I'm trying to use these functions for recipes: SaveAllRecipes(GetSelectedRecipeTemplate("myPage","myRecipe") System.IO.File.Copy(SAVEDRECIPEPATH?, SDCARDPATH?) Where does this save file go, which path I got to copy to use on my SD card? Then also to import recipe want to: ImportRecipes(myRecipe.SelectedTemplate, SDCARDPATH? & myRecipe.SelectedTemplate & ".csv") Also mention that there's no computer connected to the controller. When I was doing my simulations I could see that SaveAllRecipes generated csv file that went to "C:\OMRON\Data\Temp" folder. But there's no computer to store the saved recipe in this case. Thx in advance

  6. QJ71C24N-R4 G.Input command

I need some help with G.input and g.output commands. I have a Q04UDEHCPU and my slots are as follow: slot 0 - QJ61BT11N cclink slot 1 - QJ61BT11N cclink slot 2 - QJ71C24N-R4  2-channel RS4222/RS485   I need to have 2 separate RS485 stings going to different devices. I cannot find the way of setting up the g.output command. G.Output "Un" (s1) (s2) (d) "Un" says it is the start I/O signal of the module, but I am not sure what that means. What there be a different "Un" number for each channel?
  7. Hi,   I am using Omron CP1E NA 20DTD with built-in ANALOG inputs and output. I know how to deal with digital inputs. But I have no idea about analogue input wiring and programming. I tried connecting gefran LVDT PY2 directly to an analogue input of plc. But the indicator light did not turn on. Do I need to use any signal conditioner or converter? The output of lvdt is 0 to 25volts. I HAVE ATTACHED THE DATASHEET OF LVDT. DTS_PY2_06-2016_ENG.pdf
  8. Upload file using CF card

Hello all I have a folding machine with Omron PLC and HMI NS5-SQ10B-ECV2, the problem is the hmi software disappeared and " No project data" appeared. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me A single Ipp file. i am not really experienced in omron but i knew that i can upload the soft using CF card so, i used it and switch DIP6 , and the HMI recognized the CF card put it did't see any software. i tried to put the soft in folder with the same name but with no luck. I attached the file he sent me. 出口.IPP
  9. Help to find out specification of analog card AD-081-V1 . please suggest me this analog input card is active or passive?.

  12. Hi I am searching for plc having negative analog input and output. i.e. 0 to -10v analog i/p and Analog o/p.  Can any one help me in finding plc which has this feature .  Thank You
  13. Hi, Iam new to schneider electric PLC drive programming and also to canOpen communication. I have an LMC058 PLC and there are three Lexium 32A drives connected via canOpen which inturn controls three servomotors. My question is how to find/ read hardware limit status of the axis in which limit is connected to a digital input pin of the drive. Even though the axis is properly working by configuring the digital input pins we are unable to get the digital input status of the drive. In the drive manual its given that the digital input status can be read from canOpen address 3008:F(hex) we dont know how to read the status during run time in the program . Can any one advise me how to read that address. I tried SDO_read function but its giving me error(canOpen network id Unknown). Thanks in advance.
  14. G.INPUT

I'm working on a project that reads an RF - TAG via RS232. It uses the G.INPUT command. I need some help to see if I understand clearly how it works. Now it reads a maximum of 16 digits but in the future i want to pass it to 32 bits. The command line is |G.INPUT    U5    D6500    D6800    M7922| If I understood correctly I load in D6500 either 1 or 2 to tell it which channel to read from. It stores the 16 digits in words starting from D6800 and goes on till D6815 if I am correct. My questions are: - did I understand correctly how to use the command and is there anything else i need to take care of while using it? - do I need to do additional settings to it in order to read 32 digits or does it automatically read (if the RF reader is compatible with 32 digits)? Thank you, Andrei
  15. Hello, My quest is to make a memory card, which I can just put into my PLC on the field and load all program and options etc to my plc. Now i found the official omron guide about it but its not good at all... For example is does not explain that how i need to transfer the H and D memory part to the plc, and that not all network settings are being copied if im not careful.   But my question is: is it possible to make this backup memory card without having the actual plc? Because the process is done in memory card window, which is only available if you are online. So basicly i have to get all the plc rack parts to make this work? I tried with the simulator but ofc it is not working.   Someone mentioned me that it is possible he heard from someone but no one actually knows how to. And there is nothing in the omron manual as i see.
  16. Hi! I have my 1756 IF8 wired in high speed differential mode but i can't configure the RTS smaller than 11 ms. What I understand it should be possible to set as low as 5 ms if module filter setting is 1000 Hz. Is there anything else that i have to do?
  17. I have read that it is possible, in CXDesigner, to download the program from the computer onto a memory card, and then download from the memory card into the HMI terminal. Is a similar thing possible with CXProgrammer, and PLCs? It would be quite useful, for the purposes of updating the program on a customer PLC that is located overseas, when the customer does not own a laptop with CXProgrammer installed.

  19. Current Monitoring

Greetings, I've been having some issues with a vacuum pump breaker tripping... I think I've figured out the problem and resolved it but I noticed that several of the other motors have current monitoring on the HMI but the person who set this up is no longer with us.  I'm wondering what I need besides an analog input for my control logix processor (which I have) to setup this project.  I'm not sure if the other motors are just monitoring one leg of the 3 phases or if they are somehow showing total current?  any ideas and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.   thanks,
  20. Is SOE card compatible with both quantum & premium plcs.?
  21. How to take single bit form input WORD by Structured Text? Can i write somethink like: inVar[i]
  22. Hello! I am programming with FT view studio version 8. In the program, when I make numeric display, I can not input values for this tag I am using in the display. Then I decided to make 'invisible button' for enabling the input for this tag which is shown in the numeric display. This is okey for me, only if there is other ways to do this please tell me. Now when I have created this numeric display with input enabling -'group', I have a problem, how can I use security levels for this group, so that only logging in values can be set? I have found that there is security code selection for this in the screen displays, but not for the buttons.
  23. Hi all, Currently running a Quantum 140-CPU-652-60 FW3.12 out to a remote rack over a Modbus Drop in to a 140-EHC-105-00 High Speed Counter, words are mapped OK to the program, configured at a type 7 setup (1sec frequency) etc. The card used to work when we were running the system as a ConceptXL 2.6 setup with a 140-CPU-534-14. We have just upgraded to UnityProXLv8 and it stopped. The mapping is configured by word to bit / bit to word across the %IW and %MW (previously 948 3x and 4x registers, but converted nicely, everything is aligning). Anyone stumbled across this issue before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob
  24. Rotary input device

I am looking for some sort of rotary input device which could be used for fine adjustment. Ideally it would have to two output pins, if turned clockwise it would send pulses on one of the pins and when turned counterclockwise it would sent pulses on the other pin. These could be connected to two inputs on PLC and a value in a given variable could be incremented and decremented depending on the direction of rotation. Almost like using potentiometer with analog signal. I guess if I can not find anything I could use incremental encoder and look at the phase of the output to decide which way it is being turned but hopefully simpler and maybe more cost effective solution is out there? Thanks.
  25. Need help with OB16E

I am trying to determine or find any figures that could assist in obtaining the lifespan of a single output of a 1756-OB16E output card. I have a signal sending 400 pulses a minute to an output. I am starting think about when this card or output may need to be replaced before failure. I was given a MTBF range by Rockwell for the card itself but they could not expand on the likelyhood of the output failing exponentially due to the rapid signalling. I could also not find anything in the manual itself that could provide me with an idea of longevity, I could be missing it? Also with this project I experienced something odd with the originally scoped hardware, a solid state 24VDC relay (700-HLS1.) By measuring the resistance I was able to see that the relay should have been opening and closing but the signal was not being received. So, I swapped the solid state relay for a mechanical relay and it worked fine. I was curious if the leakage could have an effect on this. The problem with the mechanical relay is that the life is dramatically reduced to about a month for this installation, life for the relay is shown at about 10,000,000 actuations. I was hoping to have this working with a little longer life expectancy. If anyone has any experience / tips / or suggestions it would be much appreciated! PG
