Hello Sir / Ma'am, How to connect Omron CQM1H-CPU21 (Image Attached) to the software for Configuration. I have tried it many times but I think I am missing something from the wiring side. Above mentioned Controller has a built-in Peripheral Port and an RS232 Port, We don't have that particular cable that connects the Controller to the Software via Peripheral Port. Kindly help me to connect the controller using the RS232 Convertor. I am using ATC-810 RS232 to USB converter. (Image with all Pin Details attached) Software - Syswin or cx-programmer. Hello there, Today i have commissioned my first project with OMRON make PLC. Model: CP1L-EM40DT1D. (CX-Programmer) I have 2 built in 0-10V Analog Inputs on the plc. for analog input no-1 i get the digital value of 0-1000 in specific plc register address corresponding the 0-10V. (Factory setup) But today on site, i have noticed that some miner value of 0 to 50 is always coming and fluctuating very fast in that register, however the transmitter are genetaring 0.0V only (I have checked using digital multimeter with high precision) PLC and Transmitter are already grounded and all the cable connections are tight as well. so how to overcome this high fluctuating value ? is there any setting to filter the input ?

Hello There, Hope you are safe and Healthy. I am using Omon "CP1L-EM40DT1D" PLC controller for a cut-to-length type of application. for the measurement of length, I am using an inbuilt high-speed counter 0. Now the problem, when the status of PLC changes from Power off to Power On the high-speed counter starts from 0. How to hold the pulse value of HSC0 at power restart ? (I am using Differential Rotary Encoder, not absolute)

hello, I wrote simple omron vision system macro script with one scene variable sc.q&. The variable value is 5, but then I am executing macro code get value 0. I attahced photo. Maybe somebody know how to solve this problem?

Hello there, I am using Schneider HMI for the past few years, it's very versatile and easy to design graphics. Now i started using OMRON HMIs and found that is weird to draw graphics in Omron NB-Designer. I have Example, Look at the attached screenshot of both software, in the case of Schneider if I stretch a button or any object it will remain in the same good shape. but in the case of Omron, if you stretch any object it doesn't remain in the original shape. (check the attached images.) Please suggest Ideas about designing a good Omron Hmi, Sample backup is always welcome. Hello! I just got an interesting request from a customer, we have a product line that uses C200H PLCs. The cabinets can operate independently or they can be connected to work in a Master/Slave configuration, the C200 PLCs communicate to each other over RS-232 using LR registers. Back in 2015 we redesigned to use CJ2M PLCs and changed the communication to EthernetIP. Now we have a customer who wants to buy a new slave for an old C200H system, so my question is what are my options for communicating to a C200 with a CJ PLC, I don't have much experience with the C200, that was programmed before my time here, in 2000 I think. Dear All, Omron NQ HMI was installed with CJ1M CPU. Now I am trying to replace the HMI with weintek MT8071iP but HMI showing communication problem. Hi there! I was wondering if it is possible to connect a CP1E-E10 CPU with a NB HMI. This model has only a USB port marked as "Peripheral", so I was wondering if it's even possible to communicate with a HMI. According to Omron's web, "Communication options" refers to PLC-HMI connection options? Maybe there is some kind of module that allows it? I'm looking for some info but I can't find it yet. Thank you!

Hello all I am trying to figure out if its possible to save a screenshot of every screen on a HMI to usb at the same time, so i have currently created a button on a screen that saves the screenshot to external memory, is it possible to make it save a screenshot for every screen instead of just one? maybe i would have to create a kind of function on the plc that cycles through the pages and then takes a screenshot of each? any help would be appreciated currently using a NB7W and a CJ2 cpu 31 although it would be nice for this to work with everything

Hello I am trying to communicate a CJ1M with a CJ1W-EIP21 Card, with a Logix Control, but I have not been successful, what I am looking for is to read data, from the OMRON and see it in the Logix Control, but I have not been able to establish communication, I am looking for someone You will already have a functional example, with the backups of both PLC'S, to be able to observe how they made the configuration. Hello, Just made this account to get an answer hopefully quickly. I have an existing Omron CJ1M that is talking to a ControlLogix over a CJ1W-EIP21. I don't have experience in configuring Omron PLC's, but the Omron and Allen Bradley are already messaging to each other. My question is how can I get more words to be transferred between the two plc's? There are already 4 words (INTS) being transferred and are working properly but I have used up all the bits and am now needing at least 2 more words. I know in RSLogix 5000 I need to make the array size bigger, but where/how do I do that in CX-Designer? Thank you for any help.

I am trying to connect an Advantys RIO island with a STBNIC2212 ethernet/IP to a Omron CJ2 PLC. I need an EDS-file for the Omron Network Configurator but the Advantys Configuration Software will only export to .xsy for NIC2212 (Ethernet/IP), only way to get an EDS is to substitute the NIC with a NDN2212 (DeviceNet), but I doubt that will work in the Omron Network Configurator. There is an EDS file on the SE-website, but it seems to be a different setup than my island. I thought ethernet/IP should be easy :( Any suggestions? Geir

Hello Guys, I would like to know if someone in here has made a VB script, there can delete files from the SD card in HMI? the reason why I ask, is I have some data logging on the HMI for our customer, but I would like the data logging to go in a loop so if the SD-card is full, it will delete the oldest file instead of stop data logging. who is there somebody there can show me an example on a VB for this :)?

Hi there! I've been working with NB HMIs with good result. But today I loaded a project to a NB7-TW01B and it feels slow, both offline and online. Switching screens and reading/writing take around 1sec or more. It first had some bmp images created with .bmp and .png files, so I tried using vector graphics instead, but didn't get any better. I don't have another NB to try it right now so I'd like to ask you if you've been in this same situation before or what could be causing this. PLC is CP1L and communication it's via Ethernet. Both devices are actually pretty close (cable is less than 3m) and the previous HMI (Pro-face GP) felt a lot faster. Thanks in advance!

How to lock all the command after start flag at NB designer

Good day everyone, I recently got NB HMI and program it together with my NX1P2 PLC. I got 2 questions I would like to ask. What I'm trying to achieve is to lock all the button after I start my system or during the pop up screen for confirmation. I tried different methods and it doesn't work. Currently I'm using a direct window Pop-Up screen to cover all the button behind it, but I noticed if I drag the pop up screen, it'll move together. So I wonder, is there any correct methods of doing it? Also, the function key for change screen, I use it for Pop up screen but why it only spawn on the top left of the screen instead of the center? Hi there! I got a NB with some daily data logs saved in a USB drive. The thing is, I've read about accessing NB via FTP and already tried connecting to the storage folder so I don't need to unplug and plug de USB drive every day. FTP is activated in the HMI but I'm struggling accessing using Windows' FTP function. Connection is okay, I can download the project to the NB from my seat and ping it. So here's my question, have you tried this type of connection? Is another software needed to properly access the HMI? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I am considerably new with setting up E/IP on OMRON's NX1P2 PLC. I have been trying to connect a Keyence IV-G to my PLC with E/IP connection (because there's no analog I/O available) and struggling with getting a connection going between PLC and camera. I connect these two through an unmanaged network switch, which I believe doesn't need any further configuration. I have set tags on Built-in E/IP inside SYSMAC Studio, and when I monitor them it says "normally resolved". Unfortunately, it still has red dot which means connection is cannot be established. The error I'm getting is "Tag data link connection timeout". Maybe built-in E/Ip just doesnt work for this case? I have yet to try getting connected with Network Configurator, but have the feeling that it will just accomplish the same thing that I did with Built-in E/IP inside Sysmac Studio. -
CP1E host link communication via serial port gives IC error code for Timer SV Read

Hi, I'm trying to communicate Omron CP1E unit with PC via serial port using hostlink protocol. I need to read the Timer/Counter SV value and write the timer/counter SV values to the PLC. I'm able to use other C mode commands (like RC (timer/counter PV read), WC (timer/counter PV write) etc.) but when I give the command for Timer/Counter SV Read 1 which is R#, I get the response as IC (Undefined Command). How do I write or read the timer SV Values? Example command and response : @00R#TIMH001028* (TIMH is the high speed timer, 0010 is the timer number and 28 is the FCS) Response: @00IC4A* Is is that CP1E doesn't support these commands? If so what is the equivalent command that I should send inorder to perform this? Please help.
