  1. Hello everyone, I have a Kinetix 6000 CIP drive (unwind) and I need to control its speed by a PID controller. I have everything working except the MCD instruction doesn't pick up on the PID output value change. It changes the JOG speed, which I use to control the unwind, if I set the speed manually, which is slow. The PID changes the speed almost continuously. Any suggestions are welcome. This is how I'm attempting to control the speed: A1_r_JogSpeed = PID output value   Thank you

    I am using fatek FBs 32MN PLC. i need to run the nema stepper motor synchronized with induction motor's speed with some ratio. in my case the speed of stepper motor will change as the speed of induction motor changes its speed, may be many times in a second. Problem is that the speed of stepper will be constant as before until i have to disable and then enable again HSPSO function. is there any solution that i can dynamically change the speed of stepper without disable and enable HSPSO function ?

  4. Hello all I am have FX3G PLC, where i am trying to use SPD function for speed monitoring and controling. currently i am working on software only. I am using x4 as input (s1) , sk1000 (s2), and d4 (D) in monitoring mode when i am forcing X4 to ON/OFF ,  there is no any value change occure on d4 i have tried to change the s2 value from k1000 to k10000, but not fruitful i need your valuable support to confirm that my primary setup is correct or not and what things are required/missing attached program screeshot  
  5. Hello there, I am using a Kinetix 5700 drives to control bunch of axis. HW used : 5069-L320ERMS2 GurdsLogix, 2198-S086-ERS4 Servo Drive with MPM-B2152M-M motor and the 843ES-SIP12BA6 safety encoder. All is working fine except I can't figure out how to dynamically change an axis velocity  controlled by a MAG instruction. I have a virtual master axis controlling the velocity and each physical axis is controlled by a MAG instruction with a gear ratio. In my safety program I have SFX and SLS function block used to determine the safe speed limit. The  SLSLimit output of the SLS function block is linked to a SS1 Request of my servo drive. This causes the axis to stop when safe speed limit acceded.  What I'd like to be able to do is to dynamically change velocity (limit it to safe speed if SLS instruction is active) of each axis without having to change the gearing ratios and thus avoid the SS1 safe stop action.  I know how to do that using JOG or MOVE but is it even possible to do that using the MAG instruction?   8. I need help configuring high speed input in my project. As high speed input I am using proximity switch and I connected it to Digital Input 0 of CT021 (Pin 5 on image) So how can I know what is adress of my DI0 from that module? How can I know when DI0 goes on? This is my main problem because I don't know the adress of that digital input.  If I knew the adress I would than easily link it to some counter and see if it is counting  
  9. Hello,  I want to compare pulsed coming from flow meter with a constant value. And make a bit to high level when my set pulses are equal to present value in counter. I am using 1734 Vhsc24 module for this. If any body have sample program kindly attach it. 
  10. Hello guys, I am running an application for packaging measurement using a sick DFS60B incremental encoder (programmable from 1 to 10000 PPR). In more detail, it passes packaging on a conveyor belt and we have created an inspection station and an expulsion station (defective packaging), so we use the encoder to check at specific points of the packaging for defects (we use special sensors to check defects). ) (there are four in total). However, the problem we are having is the following: When reading the encoder in the PLC, the same means that performs "jumps" and does not enter the windows (GRT and LES) created on the ladder, ie, as if it were not continuous. . I understand that because the VHSC24 card works at 1 MHz in counter mode, this type of problem should not occur according to our application is not even 100 KHz. For example, our case: Using 1000 PPR and the motor speed (coupling output) is 3600 RPM (in practice it is around 1750 RPM) the frequency is calculated as follows: F = (PPR X RPM) / 60. : F = (1000x3600) / 60 = 60 KHz, ie 60 KHz is much less than 1 MHz, I think this kind of problem does not occur. Counter Attenuator: 1 Wiring Diagram VHSC24 We turn on encoder A at input 0 and encoder Aret at input 1 In logic (Structured Text) Using the PMUL instruction to convert encoder (Pulse) data to mm scale. (Ladder) The window comparisons part (GRT and Les) and other part of the process. We emphasize that we performed the tests also only with the reading and comparison part of the data, excluding the other parts, precisely to verify the issue of Scan, but the problem persisted. If anyone here in the forum has some information that can help us, I would appreciate it.
  11. Hello! I have a problem with Allen-Bradley High Speed Counter card 1734-VHSC24/C. I need to make changes to the configuration parameter .OnValue1 (DINT) during the system is running. Now, for changing the parameter value, I need to switch off the module and this can not be done during the line is running. I think that maybe this can be done using the explicit messaging. I could not find information for this from internet, so now I ask you to help me with this item. If anyone have experience or knowledge of this, please help me. I do no have experience using explicit messaging. My configuration: Studio 5000 Logix Designer V24.00, 1756-L71S V24.11, Ethernet/IP, 1734AENTR, 1734-VHSC24/C countermodule.
  12. Hi, I can’t find an answer to the following and I was advised to ask it here.I’m programming an Omron CJ2M with an MD212 high speed I/O card. I usually do all my programming in Structured text, simply because I like it a lot over ladder or sft.Now, if I want to read the hight speed counter (incremental encoder), I have to make a ladder section and use the PRV instruction to store the present value in a chosen location.The manual says the current PV is stored in A271, but I can’t get a readout there. Apparently the only way to read it is through this instruction.Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to the PRV instruction for Structured text? or another way perhaps? Again, when I check the actual memory adress, there’s no value there withouth the use of the PRV instr.
  13. I am controlling the powerflex 527 drive with MSO instruction, first setting the drive on and then running the motor with MAJ instruction. After MSO instruction, motor is rotating about 2 sec and then stops to wait the  MAJ. I have not find any solution for this. My configuration is frequency control, no feedback, sensorless. One hint i found from the rockwell pages but it did not help me. Rated slip speed is set to zero.

Sorry first up for what may seem like a simple post / question, however I am pulling my hair out with reading the programming manual and have had no help from Mitsubishi's PLC technical support team.   I have a Mitsubishi Alpha 2 (AL2-10MR-A) that I am using to count the starts of a jacking pump via input one. The intention is to have output one operate when the jacking pump start count reaches 5 within a 24 hour period. When the 24 hour period has expired, the count will reset to zero. The count will also reset to zero when a manual keypad key is pressed. I have been able to figure out the counting and reset via the keypad no bother, however, including the 24 hour clock reset is proving difficult. Has anyone had any experience with adding the 24 clock function at all, and can offer advice or examples? This is being programmed directly via the keypad.   TIA

    Dear all, the following error happened with me as following  1-power cut happened  2-rack with DO wasn't working "meaning no DO on plc module or from PLC but from function was active & some DO was blinking very fast" action I took  1-after more try change address for DO module from H/W configuration with spare DO "using Rewiring Option" worked well  but I face the following error "i don't if problem was new or related to last action' error on counter module FM450-1  I/O access error and error on FC40 "System function for counter module" no change in H/W wiring in field was done  any one need more data can ask  DO & FM not on the same rack  CPU416

  17. Hello      I have a cj2m processor and md211 module and I want to read position from rotary encoders who are put on the stepper motors. I use high speed counters to count the number of(I made settings like in documentation) but every time I read velocity.   In first two picture I have 3 blocks for PRV function , I set port specifier [#0, #1 and #3] because on this ports I command 3 axis. Please help me!              
  18. hallo everyone ...i use mitsubishi Q00UJCPU and QD77MS2.. i try to make a speed control program and the speed wants to be changed during servo operating, i use dedicated instructions ZP. PSTRT1 (axis 1) and have tryed but it was only successful to change speed with "change speed control" function once ... is it like it? cannot change "change speed control" many times when servo operations?

  21. High-Speed Counter Input

    Hi, I working on reading impulse from the input. I am using M8000 as a contact, on the coil [C235 K9999] and it is working fine on the lad, but the problem is I need to applicate sth like that in structure ladder but I dont know how. I found function on the image below but it is for FX3U. I know that 2-phase 2-count input use OUT_C(for example EN True| CCoil CC251| CValue K0) and then DMOV(for example EN True| s CN251| d D100), so is there any method to read impulses from the input? .Thanks in advance. PS I have Mitsubishi FX3G series.  
  22. Omron Servo Encoder

    Hello All  I am new to PLC programming , i have a question regarding omron PLC and High speed counters. I am using Cp1H-XA model plc . I connected HSC port 0 with a encoder and i was able to get the speed of the encoder using PRV2 instruction. Now i am trying to connect the second  encoder from the servo motor that i am using to HSC port 1. I am getting the PV signal using PRV instruction . Is there a way to calculate the speed of the servo encoder connected the HSC port 1 using PRV command , since i can't use the PRV2 command for the servo encoder .   Thanks in advance .

    Hi Guys!   There is a task. I have a motor, and I can monitoring the actual speed. The question is how can I to determine the average speed, if I know just the actual speed. If the speed is zero, it must be ignored. So I have to measure when the motor moves. Anybody have any idea? How can I solve this problem. RSLogix 5000.  Thank you.

I am trying to connect a Delta ASDA-A2 Servo internal motor encoder to a Delta DVP28SV high speed counter input.  I was successful in connecting the servo to the plc on position mode with an external encoder connected to PLC high speed counter.  Currently having trouble in finding the correct wiring between the servo drive and the plc to count the pulses from the internal motor encoder.  Attached are some figures from the servo drive manual. OA --> X0 is obvious, tried s/s to GND, COM-, VCC and VDD... no result. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
