  1. Hello all. I have been working with an SLC 5/04 system, which houses various Digital and Analog INs and OUTs, up to Slot 29. I am currently mainly working with Slot 25, an Analog Input: 1746-NI16I. This is a system which has already been set up and has been running for the best part of 8-10 years. This particular card has had some spare inputs, one of which I am trying to connect to. In the Advanced Configuration, only a few Channels are actually "Enabled", and each channel is pretty much slightly different from another in terms of Input Type, Filter Frequency and Data Format. I am trying to set up Input 14, which is Channel 15, to "Enable" it, 4-20mA Input Type, Filter Frequency of 6 Hz and Data Format of either Raw/Proportional or Engineering Units. Now, after I have made my choices, I click apply, and then OK. I am then confronted by a pop-up which states: "Configuration Rung and Data Integer Data File Number: 25 Integer Data Element: 100 Rung to be inserted: XIC S2:1/15 COP #N25:100 #O0:25.0 24 At Program File Number: 4 82" I have the options of OK or Cancel. If I click OK, I now have LAD 4, Rung 82 Highlighted. This First Scan Bit and COP function were already here, but does that mean I have now altered what is being written to "#O:25.0"? I now Download the Changes. However, after all this, I am not getting any Analog input reading coming in from the Live PLC. What is this COP function? What does it do? How do I properly set up this Analog Card?   Thanks for your time, -Jame

Lets say i have a PLC, with a name PLC1 with IP/Subnet of 10.125.34.243/255.255.255.0 I have to communicate this PLC1 with 2 other PLC's, PLC2 and PLC3 PLC2 with IP/Subnet of 10.125.34.10/255.255.0.0 PLC3 with IP/Subnet of 10.125.46.10/255.255.0.0 I imagine that, all these three are in different subnets, and so there should be no communication at all, but when i tested it, PLC1 to talking to/from PLC2 and not PLC3.  anyone know the answer to this ? How does it talk to PLC2 with different subnet, but not PLC3 which is in different subnet as well.

Please assist me with the following; regarding the ME96SSHA-MB Power meter data transition with Melsec-Q series PLC; We acquire to read various values on dedicated Modbus storage address registers at the simultaneous into a Melsec-Q series PLC via Modbus (TCP or RTU)  for calculation purposes. Naturally, since the reading of these variables are to provide accurate instantaneous results, it is a requirement that these values are to be read at one scan.   However, as can be seen below, there is a gap in address register range – of which, if all of these are scanned simultaneously, yields an exception error when read. This error is only avoided by scanning these data sets separately – which is not ideal for our application – since accuracy in calculations is imperative.

    Hi After updating CXS to ver. 3.4.1 I can't see point address I can see them when I editing but in the list form only the array len. is shown. When I enter a new point I can see the address. Anybody now hove to solve that ? Banker

Looking for a little help.  Replaced a 1746-NO8V analog card that hadn't been working for years and the new card is giving a Configuration Error (Module LED flashes twice, all 8 outputs are flashing 12 times).  I have 2 other of the same cards in the same rack that have been working for a very long time and still working that seem to be configured the same way.  Is there any way to know what is wrong with my configuration.  or maybe my new card is just bad???  I have not yet swapped one of my working cards with the new card, have considered but really think I'm missing something.

    Hello, I would like to see your logical opinion about this situation and in which part of system where I need to find solution - software or in the physical field. Subject: Twelve old system based on Mitsubishi PLC AnS series, Profibus Here is pneumatic transport, with 5 lines, each line have a shredder and discharge valve. A few months ago, when line 1 works , display shows line 2 and vice versa, it was first problem, but the system was still working. From the last week system doesn't work. On the display appear line 3 in works, but system can not started. Alarm shows Double address (perhaps two valves have some address), Alarm still appear after reset and even all lines are turned off. What is your opinion where to find proble (PLC, I/O moduls, cables,...)

Hello.   I'm trying to communicate between two PLC's  using FINS function block _CPU011:ReceiveData.   PLC1: IP 192.168.1.50 (MASTER)   PLC2:IP 192.168.1.51 (SLAVE)   If I don't use »IP Address Table« everything works using NODE number &51.       The problem is that on the real project these two PLC's will be on different subnet.   For example:   PLC1: IP 192.168.1.50   PLC2: IP 192.168.2.50   So I will have to use »IP Address Table« to achieve communication between these two PLC's.   I tried to sett IP Address Table on MASTER: Node 1=192.168.2.50   But If I try to communicate I see that packet is sended to network but I've got error #1005.   Do I have to sett the SLAVE IP Address Table?   Hoe to do this?   What are the right settings for MASTER and SLAVE IP Address Table?     I'm attaching pictures of CARD settings.  I don't want to use CX-Integrator because I would like to make project to UPLOAD and forget.       Thanks.  
  9. I need solution for master & slave configuration between 2 PLC Twido TWDLCAE40DRF. My final project is about a system for filling drink on a cup and do the packaging. the component of the project is the filling system (dropping cup, filling water, pressing the seal) and the packing (packing into a box and sealing the box). This project is using 2 PLC Twido TWDLCAE40DRF. My problem is how to configure one of them as the master and the other as the slave. Now finish the configuration, but the problem is how to write the address for Digital Input, Digital Output, Analog Input, and RTD module in elementary variable ? I try to put name DDI_1 and the address is same with M340 topology like %I2.1.0.1.1  and for digital input but got message after build : {Elementary Variables}    :     The instance is located on an address that isn't configured. :     DDI_1 Thank you for your advice regards

Dear all Please identify me i am having one Issue in my PLC.When I changed the IP of my plc then suddenly its showing error ERH its mean IP address wrong but  My CPU setting is same like previous means unit no=0, x16^0=0 ,Node=x16^0=1  and IP is 192.168.0.15 Mask add.255.255.255.0. but when I, transfer to PLC (in Program Mode) its not transferred(Failed to Transfer) please rectify me where I am doing wrong.

I READ IN THE MANUAL FOR THE CJ2M-CPU34 THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS BY WRITING TO D30098 AND D30099 (MY DEVICE IS UNIT 0).  I TRIED TO DO THIS ON A TEST PLC BUT AM NOT HAVING ANY LUCK... I WROTE MY IP ADDRESS #C0A8 TO D30098 AND #0E30 TO D30099 (IP ADDRESS 192.168.14.48) WITH THE CPU IN PROGRAM MODE, I SET THE RESET BIT (A501.00) TO TURN ON ON THE TRAILING EDGE OF THE FIRST SCAN BIT, I CAN TELL THE CARD RESETS BECAUSE I AM CONNECTED VIA ETHERNET AND I GET DISCONNECTED, BUT THE IP ADDRESS DOES NOT CHANGE.  IS THERE ANY WAY TO CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS WITHOUT CX-PROGRAMMER?  I NEED TO GET A SOLUTION TO MY CUSTOMER TONIGHT AND MY SUPERVISORS DO NOT WANT TO RELEASE OUR DEVELOPMENT CODE TO THE END USER.   THANK YOU!!!

  17. I am having trouble loading the configuration into a Micro984-230. I lost an old M84-002 PLC. I have the program. I purchased a Micro994-230 replacement. I lost my cable, so I made a new one. The only software that I have still running is Updoc 4.30b. I tested out my cable and Updoc by connecting to a 984-381. Everything worked fine online and offline. The error I get during the configuration loading is communication error 13. I have no idea what that is. Perhaps I can't do configuration loading with Updoc. I have Modsoft Lite  working but I do not think that it works with this controller. It is for MIcro and Compact controllers. I may have modsoft and taylor kicking around but I do not know if they are installable or not. I hope I can find out if my config is improper, I have used the wrong controller setup file (used Micro984), or where iI can have the config loaded for me? I also do not know if this used controller is functioning correctly.

    hello guys .. am the new guy in this forum I am having a problem with CPM1A-AD041  configuration. Please suggest what type of operands (Data Type, Address) should be defined for the selected operand (see attachment drawing). This example is taken from the module's configuration manual for CP1H CPU Unit (WA450-E1-06). CPM1A-AD041 works with CP1H-XA40DR-A. thanks in advanced :)
  19. Hi, Good day to all,   I got a situation regarding the redundancy configuration. Please refer to the image attached (Page 26, Enhanced Redundancy User Manual). Notice the 1756 ControlLogix I/O inside the green box! The chassis hasn't got a CPU but only has an Ethernet IP module for the entire chassis. Does anyone know how to add and configure this chassis to the I/O configuration tree of RSLogix5K (Logix Designer 5k)? On my configuration, I've also inserted 2 MVI56E-MNETC Modbus TCP/IP Module in addition to the standard I/O Modules. Is my configuration possible?     I have restored a crashed IFIX to a new PC. The restore is ok and installed GE9 driver. With the GE9 power tools, we can observed that data transmits and recieve. The problem is that the screen scada is not updating i.e. no status/feedback, anything is happening. The LAN network TCP/IP was configured i.e. IP, subnet and gateway. Any remedies/advice is most welcome. Please provide a guide on the communication/configuration setup. Thanks
  22. Hello, we have 6 encoders and 2 of them lose their mac address every time power goes out. The other encoders find their Mac address by themselves. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks for reading. Have a great day.
  23. Has anybody used the Spectrum Controls 2080sc-IF4u analog module? This is a 4 channel analog module for the Micro800 series?  I'm trying to set input 4 to (0-5v, x10(format)2-wire, 60HZ). I need someone to help me figure out the bit setting. This is what I have LSB=44 and MSB=44 could some else confirm this? Thanks

    Dear All, I really appreciate in advance your help in this problem. This is my first project with Mitsubishi PLC. I am using GX Works 2 for programming. Hardware is FX2G-24M base unit + FX2n-16EX extension module. I already started a new program and download simple rung on PLC, put PLC in run mode, test it and working properly. the problem is that I do not know what is the address of inputs of extension module. I tried to complete and use X016 but no response in PLC. kindly advise what shall I do. Thanks
