  1. I am new to PLC programing, I want to connect FX5U and MR-JE-_C via CC-link. When I connect FX5U and MR-JE-_C directly everything works, but when I connect them in HUB (I need to use HUB because later I want to connect GOT2000) I am getting error 86.1(network communication error) on amplifier. Previously I set up IPs shown on pictures below, now sometimes works, sometime doesn't work and sometimes works for 30 seconds and I get same error. Did I miss something? I don't know what to try else.
  2. Hey Everyone,   My company decided to purchase a piece of equipment from China, and I have the pleasure of updating its terrible existing controls. We were given the PLC program by the manufacturer, so I was able to make my changes pretty easily - or at least that would be the case if I could actually connect to the dang thing. The source program is indeed openable and editable via GX developer (the original configuration shows it as an FX3). I figured connecting should be straightforward, but I was wrong.    I initially used a serial/usb converter that I've used on some older Allen Bradley equipment (which worked fine for that). However, after no luck using it on the "Mitsubishi", I purchased a different cable that I found recommended on this forum (Tripp Lite USA-19HS - https://www.alliedelec.com/product/tripp-lite/usa-19hs/70101537/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAj9iBBhCJARIsAE9qRtB_n8TVAnJdFyYokoEu42W6H6LaT4kVsgJQI1qvPUsUF3rFviKpbt0aApLHEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds). Still, no luck. I've tried 7E1 and every baud rate possible, as well as some other bit/parity configurations (and yes, I've verified that I'm using the right com port, as well as tried moving the converter to different ports and trying those). Nothing seems to go through.  I have almost no experience with Mitsubishi beyond a couple of FX5s (which have worked fine, but I connect to those via ethernet). Any help would be greatly appreciated; if I can't make these changes, I'm going to end up rebuilding the whole cabinet with a PLC I can rely on.   Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi,     I'm trying to communicate Omron CP1E unit with PC via serial port using hostlink protocol.  I need to read the Timer/Counter SV value and write the timer/counter SV values to the PLC.  I'm able to use other C mode commands (like RC (timer/counter PV read), WC (timer/counter PV write) etc.) but when I give the command for Timer/Counter SV Read 1 which is R#, I get the response as IC (Undefined Command).   How do I write or read the timer SV Values?  Example command and response : @00R#TIMH001028*  (TIMH is the high speed timer, 0010 is the timer number and 28 is the FCS) Response: @00IC4A* Is is that CP1E doesn't support these commands? If so what is the equivalent command that I should send inorder to perform this? Please help.
  4. Hi guys, so i'm trying to send data to plc omron cp2e-n40dra via RS232C, I use RXD and TXD but it looks like my programs are wrong, the indicator of RS232C are on everytime i send the data so it looks like PLC receive my data but when i see it in memory PLC D i can't find any data stored. Can anyone help me please? I attach my Gdrive for pictures since i can't upload pictures in here *The data that i sent is in ASCII https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GPXa1U1PLMU2WKmo4YRPe32wHHyVCGUv?usp=sharing
  5. NB Data log

Hi there!  I need to implement a data logging that saves the log in a USB storage for a machine and just started searching for some info about data logging in NB HMIs. Up to now I'm clear about using the Data History function and the sampling method I'll be using but I still have some unclarified doubts about this. 1.- The data log should sample the value of, let's say, a couple of words, each second for an entire day (6:00 am to 6:00 am). NB's manual doesn't say a lot about Storage Type and Buffer Storage in "Save Data History" tab. Does "daily file" mean It deletes the .CSV file daily and it generates a new one? If is it, at what time does this occur? Does "single file" mean it generates a file and won't get deleted? Does this mean the sampling stops when completing the first one? Is "storage period" used to keep the file after the next log begins? 2.- Is it necessary to display the element in order to make the log work? Or can it be placed in a random screen you only enter once a day? 3.- In the "Channel Properties" tab. If I need to get the binary value of a word, do I need to set the max. limit to 65535? 4.- I asume that "Sample points" value doesn't matter when selecting Continue sample mode. Am I right? Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated.

  7. Data Logging with GT Designer3

Hello, I am trying to log data using GT Designer 3 and I'm having no luck. I found some sort of online documentation and even going through the myriad of steps still find my self unable to log anything. I am using the melsoft project navigator and GX Works 2 to simulate the logging of just one 16 bit signed word with a constant value. As logging data is clearly not as simple as just specifying D100 or D200 as the devices you want to log, I am hoping someone else on here has some experience on this matter and can help me out.  Thanks for any help in advance.
  8. Hello,  When i get error 2003 with sktTCPAccept what is causing it? Can it be caused if something was left open from previous session, is something wrong on server or client side? From F1 help i think error causes can be narrowed down to either open/close processing is in progress for SrcTcpPort although it doesnt specifically state that it causes error 2003. After closing port is there delay needed before i can use sktTCPAccept again?

  12. Error Indicator on FX3U-ENET-ADP

Hi all, I have finished installing ethernet adapter module FX3U-ENET-ADP on the FX3U-48M PLC. From the ethernet module, i connected it to a wireless router and then i am planning of connecting to the ethernet module using GXWorks 2 on my laptop through wireless router. On the ethernet module, the error indicator LED is on (red). From the FX3U-ENET-ADP, it means that there might be setting or hardware errors.  I am asking if i have missed some steps on the installation process and if any of you have experience with similar problems. Thanks in advance for the answers.
  13. 14. Omron NJ501 - IFM IO-Link - Wenglor U1KT001

Hi, I am looking at reading an ultrasonic sensor value through IO-Link, using a Omron NJ501-1320 PLC connected through EtherCat to a IFM AL1332 master with a Wenglor U1KT001 Ultrasonic sensor. I have managed to read the 2 outputs of the sensor using this: Output_1 := TestABit(USINT_TO_BYTE(TxPDO_input_byte_1_6000_02),USINT#0); Output_2 := TestABit(USINT_TO_BYTE(TxPDO_input_byte_1_6000_02),USINT#1); But cannot read the ultrasonic sensor distance value, this is what page 2 in the manual says: Measured Value in 1/10 mm 2…15 14 Bit 300…4500 Octet 1 Subindex 3 (LSB) 2 1 Bit Offset 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 I tried a couple of conversions but couldn`t get the distance reading. Any ideas? Help appreciated.
  15. Hi all, I am currently having a project of polling data from PLC CJ1M using Advantech ECU-1051 IoT gateway which support rs-232 serial connection (Host Link) to poll data from the PLC for data acquisition and monitoring, I would like to use peripheral port since rs-232c port is used for HMI. However, I am currently stuck at make the connection between those two devices. I did setup same transmission configuration between them (baudrate, Unit number, start/stop bits,...). Is there any configuration that I have missed to make the communication works?
  16. Hi,     I am trying to establish communication between master and slave through modbus rtu rs485. But I am experiencing error code 7378h. I already tried to make the values of Request Interval Timer from 100 to 200 and Broadcast Delat Value from 50 to 100. But the error still persist. Any tips how to solve this issue? There is no error on the slave evices.
  17. Hello everyone! I've installed GX works 3 according to the instructions in "https://plc4me.com/gx-works3-v1-308q-mitsubishi-full-real-100/". I don't get any errors, I can run the PLC and simulate completely OK. In the communication test, when the configuration is missing some components in the module list: Input, output, I / O module,... (https://ibb.co/ZVMcmQn) I hope you can answer for me?
  18. Good day everyone, before I start asking my question, just want to let you all know that my knowledge with PLC is not that good. I'm still learning on how to do it. So currently I'm working on a project that trying to obtain data from Omron PLC. I was told that I can't touch the Omron PLC program or modify it. That Omron PLC is connected in an isolated network within a router. Other than adding Network Card on the device, can I use another PLC (any brands) to get the data from that Omron PLC through the router? The communication protocol using here is Ethernet. Can i just tapped into the network and take the data with that way? Or the other method I'm thinking is that, the Omron PLC will feed the data to a server, can I just obtain that data from server by using OPCUA? I heard there's some PLC that have the OPCUA function, I just make my PLC into the cilent and request the data of that Omron PLC from server through Ethernet. Is this possible? Please let me know whether my method works or not, thanks in advance guys!
  19. Hello everyone, As the title suggests I am trying to display on a GOT1000 the real time frequency that the inverter is running at. I have attached my CC-Link settings and the associated programming as well. I tried using the example program from Mitsubishi but I got lost. From my understanding I should be seeing the output frequency in W3C4 however, I am not receiving any data. Any help would be appreciated.
  20. HMI on CC LINK IE FIELD

Hello all, kinda lazy question, but I'll rather ask, before I'll went to deep into HMI scripting. Because of a design of CC link, there are RWr and RWw Is there any simpler solution for displaying value stored in PLC, while also letting HMI operator change the value and save it to PLC, than scriting in HMI? hope it makes sense to you thank you in advance
  21. Hi every one ! I cannot use register D128 - D255 in the program when I create a program that uses the Block function in the PLC mitsubishi FX1S, it gives an error :  A device of the device range set in the device/label automatic-assign setting or a device which cannot be used due to system reservation is being used.Help me,Thanks !
  22. The CC-Link system on a machine has been intermittently dropping out.  Normally the Link Scan Time runs at a solid 87ms.  When the system "drops out", the link scan time will increase.  Sometimes double, triple, or go up 10x. It happens when the machine is running or when it sits idle. There are 33 stations on the network.  The same stations do not always fault but sometimes all of the stations will fault at once (as seen in the attachment pictures.) We have changed the main QJ61BT11N, the processor, the Q62N power supply, the main backplane (base unit), all cards on the main backplane.  Is it possible for one station or one of the cables to create a network wide problem?  Any ideas thrown at us would be appreciated.
  23. I'm editing an old program for a customer that has a zillion user-defined data types. Scrolling through the list trying to find a specific type definition is taking way too long. Is there and easy way to find a specific data type definition? It would help if I knew how to collapse the view so I don't have to scroll through each member of every type. There doesn't seem to be any right-click menu items that would collapse the view.
  24. Folks, we have a set of Mitsubishi Q12PRHCPU (redundant) running effortless since many years. CPU-A as standby and CPU-B as Control. Recently we noticed BATT low alarm on CPU-B. So we arranged for a spare battery Q6BAT and started the procedure as per manual(attached procedure and flow chart). We did memory copy from Control to standby (as prescribed precaution) and did the Reset of Standby PLC CPU-A. Memory copy from B to A completed successfully 100%. But the BACKUP LED did not turn Green from Red & Error LED kept flickering on standby CPU-A. CPU-B remain in Control but backup LED turned RED. From system monitoring we found that there is a Error 6000 (FILE DIFF.) observed in One of the .QPG (program 00-MDBUS.QPG). We tried to reset it but were not successful. We are surprised that why does the program differs when it was copied from CPU-B to CPU-A using the memory copy. Still we did the VERIFY and found no difference between the programs in CPU-A & CPU-B.  Can anyone explain the cause of this issue and the solution. Please note that the CPU-B is still in control and plant is running. Backup LED on both CPU are red which means (redundancy loss) and error LED on standby CPU-A is flickering RED. There is no error in the CPU-A (Control) -we checked this using the GX Developer. Also attached here are the image of the error and error help. Thanks in advance. 25. Hi! I would like to ask how could I send data from PC to CJ1M PLC, by SCU-41 module and RS232 cable, in order to activate an actuator (LED)? In my environment, I have a sensor that sends data from PLC to PC (I'm checking data, "HelloWrld" with Putty), with this configuration: And I have another section where I want to read the data from the PC in ordr to activate a LED I would like when I send for example a letter 'a' trough Putty, the LED activates. How could I do that? Thank you very much!
