  10. Hi guys! I need some help with a powerflex 525 multi speed configuring. I know I have to set the P046 parameter for 2 “DigIn TrmBlk” (source) and  P047 parameter for 7 which means present frequency. This is the speed reference. I need 3 speed, so I will use Terminal 5 and Terminal 6. When both terminal is zero then 10 Hz, when terminal 5 is 1 but terminal 6 is 0 then 20 Hz and lastly if both terminal is 1 then it will be 30 Hz. I will adjust the speed with the parameters: A410, A411 and A412. Terminal 2 would be the forward and terminal 3 would be the reverse direction. I think these two can be two PLC digital output trough one-one relay. It will be counted the distance by an encoder. When it reach the target the run command will be released and the motor will be stopped with the decel time1. Also I will connect the S1 and S2 for safety.   My question is do I have to connect other wires ? Also do I have to remove the jumper between terminal 11 and 1 ? Am I forget something ? Any comment would be highly appreciated. Thanks ahead.

  15. Good Day All, I'm working on an alarm system program that an integrator did several years ago. The PLC is a S7-1200, and I'm using TIA Portal 15.1. The program uses BACnet to comm with a Trane chiller system. I need to make an input change (change input from one remote rack to another one) in another unrelated portion of the program. When I connect to the system, it come up with a pop up saying I'm missing the BACnet module and programming may be limited. Will it cause an issue if I make my input change and download software to the PLC, even thought I don't have the BACnet module for Portal?
  16. Open data log in HMI

Hi there! I have S7-1200 controller connected to a Comfort Panel. The machine has some pressure and temp sensors, as long as many valves and other stuff. I generate a daily datalog with some of those variables but, the thing is, I've been trying to figure out how to show these data in the HMI without using a trend viewer. I don't know if it's possible, but I want to be able to see what valves were open (for example) the day DD/MM/YYYY at HH:MM:SS, using the generated data log, kind of knowing the state of single bits at different past moments. I've been searching the web but I didn't find something exactly like this, don't know if I'm doing it properly so I'd like to know if you have done this or you can throw some light on the topic. Thanks in advance and hope you can help me!
  17. S7 200 SEG INSTRUCTION

Hello guys. We are trying to replace a S7 200 PLC at our station with S7 1200.  We are reading the program on the S7 200 and recreating the same on the S7 1200. However, we have encountered the SEG  instruction used several times in the S7 200 (microwin) program. And the SEG instruction is not available in TIA Portal (we are using TIA 11) for the S7 1200. We have tried to read the s7 200 system manual but the explanation of the instruction is not sufficient to help recreate it. Could anyone know how we can create our own equivalent of the SEG instruction? If anyone has the SEG instruction already created as a program, it would be very helpful. Thank you.
  18. Hi all  I need help with communication between Mitsubishi L06CPU-P with Siemens S7-1500 by Modbus TCP. It's necessary to send data from L06CPU to S7-1500, but I don't know anything about mitsubishi and gx works2.  Picked up some pics how I did it, but I didn't verified how it works. Can anybody help me with this? https://ibb.co/8KDmg5x https://ibb.co/Jm8shCx   edited: I also found LQnUDEModbusTCP_GW2_with_FC_V120 library, but how it works I dont know
  19. Passwords in Runtime

Hi I'm looking for a little bit of help. I have a WinCC HMI which will not let me log on with one of the passwords. The general logon and admin both work fine. The Engineer password doesn't work (no display at the top of the screen where the other user names are displayed). There is no warning that the password is in correct or the account locked out (missed in the original programing I think). I have all the project files however I'm using a runtime licence. I would like to log in as admin open the project and clear the password lockout. The issue I have is that I have to use TIA portal and it will not show the project file, is this due to the fact that I have a runtime licence. Is there another way to see if the user name is locked and removed. Like I said I have the admin password which works.   Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Kind Regards
  20. Hello Everyone. We have Schneider TM241 PLC Along with Citect SCADA System at 100MWp Solar Power Plant to monitor and control various equipments like Inverters, Switch-Yard, MFMs, Weather Monitoring Systems etc... Government Authority here asked every solar plant to control the generation as per the instructions by Load Dispatch Center, for that we need to implement logic to control Generation as per requirement. For that we are controlling generation from inverters by giving them generation setpoints calculated by PLC using PID function.   But we are facing one problem while using PID. (FB_PID of Toolbox Library)   Suppose we need to generate only 60MW out of 100MW. So we set PID setpoint to 60MW and according to that we get PID output and according to that PID output value we provide generation setpoint to every inverters.   This system works very fine until the clouds comes into the picture.   Now suppose Setpoint of PID is 60MW and PV is also near about 60MW, and suddenly large cloud comes over plant and block solar radiation.   In this case generation comes down to 10MWp(or any value below 60MW), So output of PID will Increase and keep increasing and settle at the Maximum value. but without solar radiation generation value stays very down then Setpoint.   Now suddenly Cloud moves and again solar radiation increase, but the PID output is maximum at that time so, Suddenly Generation goes from 10MW to near about maximum capacity (100MW) instead of 60MW, and then it will slowly comes down to 60MW.   We need to rectify this generation shoot up when cloud moves. Anyone have idea how can we solve this problem or anyone have programmed PID in this kind of situation.   Is there any function block available to do this correctly like function block of PID with two Reference or something like that...   We are using TM241 which is CoDeSys based PLC.
  21. Hi!Are you tired of skimming through menu bar items in TIA Portal in order to finally find that one command that you were looking for?So was I!So I´ve composed a handy one-page list of keyboard shortcuts to execute those commands in no time (FACT - 99% of them are executed using your left pinky and your left/right index finger ). Check out the list of keyboards shortcuts in the PDF attached below. For more practical tips and tricks on TIA Portal PLC programming -> go and have a look at my video course by clicking on the link below:https://lnkd.in/eipFaGm   Keyboard Shortcuts.pdf
