  1. I have a legacy application with [PRINT] buttons on many of the screens. The screens are very simple with text and boxes as frames around the text. The [Print] button calls the CX-Supervisor script: where FALSE suppresses the print dialog. Figure 1. One of eight of the temperature control boxes. I have upgraded to CX-Supervisor 3.41 Developer and Runtime for a couple of modifications. Now when we print the text comes out OK but the graphics (the boxes) are about eight times the correct size and overlay the text. This happens when printing to the printer and to XPS. Figure 2. The eight temperature texts and the giant boxes on an A4 XPS file. (It's the same when printed directly to printer.) Has anyone seen anything similar? Is there a fix? Many thanks.
  2. CX-Supervisor Developer 3.41 on development laptop. CX-Supervisor Runtime Only V3.4.1.0 on machine HMI. SYSMAC Gateway V1.7 on machine HMI. Following on from http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?/topic/35136-cx-supervisor-developer-no-plc-point-data-when-testing-runtime/: Developer V3.4 generates .SR3 files rather than the older .SR2 files. After my Runtime upgrade neither the old SR2 program or the new SR3 program seem to communicate via the SYSMAC Gateway which is running (and passes the comms test) on the HMI. It works on the development laptop. Has anyone got any suggestions?
  3. I've added users in CX-Supervisor Developer, built and copied the SR3 file over but the new users don't travel with it. (I didn't think they should be embedded in the project file.) How do I transfer the user accounts from Developer to Runtime?
  4. I'm an experienced PLC / HMI developer but not very familiar with CX-Supervisor. I'm modifying a program with CX-Supervisor Version 3.41 and all is well until I try to test it. The runtime builds and starts but the PLC point data is all zeros. I'm developing on my laptop, plugged into the machine network where the HMI is running the previous program version. Can my modified program talk to the NX701 PLC while the HMI is talking too? Is there some trick to starting the Developer Runtime that I'm missing? Many thanks.
  5. Trying my luck to ask here, if anyone can help :D So I've started using CX-Supervisor v3.41 and found a very odd problem with the color palette, as shown in the picture below. As you can see, the palette size is abnormal that the Color Selector button is not visible anymore. This window is also not sizeable, so I cannot do anything to fix it. I never encountered such problem with v3.24 before. I confirmed this is not a screen resolution problem either since I've tried to change it. Anyone encountered same issue perhaps? Maybe someone know a workaround? Thank you
  6. I'm modifying an existing application and need to expand some recipe arrays. Runtime is throwing an error on the last element of the original array (elements 0 to 137 and I have expanded to 199). Is there any way to add a breakpoint into the code to see what's happening? How does anyone else do it? Many thanks.
  7. Dear All               Could you people help me to solve this issue. I need a Function in cx-supervisor with Push Button.I want Bit ON, when I pressed the button, and when I release the button then this bit goes OFF. Sorry for my bad English its not my native language.
  8. Hello, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to join your awesome community. I am pretty much a beginner in using more than one PLC so please bare with me. This is my problem so far, I have four C1JM PLCS with no Ethernet port built into them BUT I also have four serial to Ethernet converters (MOXA NPORT 5110) and a switch. I want to make a small control room so that I can control all of the PLCS from a single PC using CX-Supervisor. My problem is that i don't know how to make a network between the four PLCS and the PC and how to configure them on CX-Programmer and CX-Supervisor so that i can control all the four PLCS from one PC.  Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance and have a nice day :)
  9. The production environment has had a CX Supervisor package running since 2006. the internal computer finally bit the dust... We have managed to install XP on another PC. Supposedly it was all installed correctly off site and tested to run OK offsite. When connected to the (PLC) machine CX-Supervisor [v1.33] gives an error 1007. Probably its an communication error. It seems that the back-up runtime version (sr2) was CX Supervisor v.2.1 from which we don't have a hash dongle. We only have a v1.3 version.   According to the omron helpdesk, the only thing we can do to test the connections , is to install a v2.x trial version with the .sr2 file. There is no need for a usb-dongle in a trial version and it wil only work for 30 days. That would be sufficient for us, because the repair of the build-in system will take about two weeks. For now a complete production-line is out! In short: We urgently are in need of CX-Supervisor v2.x trial installation package. If anyone knows where to find it, it will be appreciated.
  10. Is it possible to use an older version (rs2) from CX-Supervisor v1.33 with a new install of CX-Supervisor 3.x? regards, Richard
  11. CX-supervisor

I want to send data from internet to cx-supervisor via cx-supervisor website but error. i don't know how to resolve this problem .I attach photo below, people help me with

  13. CX Supervisor Modbus RTU

Can CX Supervisor be used as modbus RTU master using RS232/RS485 or USB/RS485 converter to connect it to PLC or panelmeter or other modbus slave units and how? Any example? Thanks in advance Goran
  14. Hello Guys, I Need some information about conncting method between cx-programmer and cx-supervisor? Anyone can explain? Please help me! thank you.
  15. Happily logging lots of parameters, at 1 second rate, and generating a csv file every hour, using Supervisor 3.2 and the ExportLog Supervisor script.  Had to make a dos batch file to collate all the hourly csv files in to a daily csv file, and zip it, and then delete the hourly dlv and csv files, as normally the daily zipped log files are just kept for reactive faultfinding when there is a need to investigate a daily log file using Excel. Problem I find is that the data logging list of parameters is not able to be set to a particular order, such that the csv columns are in a particular order.  Supervisor seems to rejig the order of parameters in the Logging workspace to its own purposes, and that order doesn't align with the order of parameters in the csv file.  Nothing that I could find in the manual or help or poking around seems to describe how the export ordering is done. Anyone been down that path?? Regards, Tim
  16. Hi, Is there any setup to manage alarms in one PLC from multiple CX-Supervisor runtimes running on different computers? If I get an alarm, it shows up on both runtimes. If I acknowledge from one runtime, I also want it to be gone from the list in the other runtimes.
  17. cx supervisor runtime failed

my CX supervisor runtime has failed. when i build a runtime, SR2 built succesfully, but when open the SR2 file theres nothing pop up on my runtime. Event/ error log tell that failed to open device, non-specific error occurred: PLC, [CX-Server: MANAGER, ERROR, 0x8825]. How to solve this problem..please help me
  18. Does any one has idea why CX supervisor 1.33 runtime application crashes when NVP file comes to 200kB or something. This file is used to keep non volatile tags. But from time to time it crashes. About every 6 months. But when I delete NVP file it works fine. I have some text tags which is used to store some text that user input and change from time to time. 19. Hi, to all. I have a question concerning the current alarms of CX-Supervisor, I'm using the version 3.22. I want to do a custom alarm view where the alarm messages have a different colors depending on the priority (ex. red for high priority, yellow for medium priority, etc...). I want also that the alarms are ordered by date & time, first the latest. The alarm object is not good because doesn’t allow to order by date & time and you can decide only one colour for all the alarms. The current alarm dialog box allows to order the alarms but non to customize the colors. I did some test and I've seen that I can fill a list with different line colors by using the ActiveX object Microsoft ListView Control 6.0, but I need the current alarm list to do it. I don't know where to get this list. The alarms history is stored in the .UAL and .UAB files but I didn't find any file with the current alarms. Does anyone know how to get the current alarms list? Does anyone know another way to have the same effect? Thanks in advance
  20. Hello everyone! First of all, I'm a new comer to this forum from Indonesia. The name's Inno. Looking forward to share knowledge with all of you So I had this trivial, but annoying matter with CX-Supervisor Text Points. I had connected it to NJ101 controller. There I made a sample STRING, let's say "1234". I set this STRING to be stored in D0 memory, which means in ASCII it'll now contains : D0 = #3132 D1 = #3334 Then I use the Display Value (Text) Action to a Text Object in CX-Supervisor. The problem is, each Word on the Point display the LSByte first. So the resulting view in CX-Supervisor is : "2143", while I expect to see "1234" I know this can be easily solved by swapping the bytes inside the NJ program, but I'm curious, does CX-Supervisor has the feature to swap these bytes automatically? I mean, even NS or NB HMI can do so to accomodate Mitsubishi/others String system :D This occured for any Text type I choose (Signed/Unsigned/Raw Binary). Waiting for your suggestions
  21. CX-Supervisor can't runtime

hello guys, i got a little bit problem with my cx-supervisor 3.2. when i clicked the cx-supervisor development project, the message showed that cx-server detected a problem during initialitation. But it could enter the program with the new message again that access to the cx-server project has been denied and finally it surely could not runtime. After that i tried to fix it with uninstall and re-install but the result was the same. Please i need help to solve this problem. i have fixed it as much as i can it didnt work. Thank You Best regard
  22. Does anyone has experience with CX supervisor and LSIS OPC servers? A have problem with communication. Some tags I can not write from SCADA to PLC. I am not sure is it problem with communication between PLC and OPC server or between Supervisor and OPC server. I will check OPC and PLC easily but does someone had problems with Supervisor and OPC regarding type of tags I, O or I/O, integer, float etc?
  23. need help with SCADA database. moving 50k points

Hello, Let me preface this. I have used this site many times when searching for issues and it has always been helpful. This is my first post here. I have been programming PLC's, HMI's, VFD's etc etc for 15 years, fairly complex stuff. I have also done lots of SCADA programming but more just for basic interface, monitoring, basic parameters changes, logging, etc etc. I am not facing a setup where I must do a large recipe/batch data transfer and I am confused as to what the best path is to achieve this. I have fairly basic knowledge of VB script as I have not needed to use it very often. Here is the problem I am facing. The SCADA package the customer has is Omron CX-Supervisor. The network is all Ethernet Based 1) I have 26 moulding machines on the plant floor2) There are 50 different moulds that are moved around from machine to machine3) Each mould can run 1 of 10 different colours4) There are 100 differing cycle parameters for each colour/mould combination =50x10x100 = 50 k points for total machine that = 50k x 26 = 1.3 million ! What the end result will be is this. From the SCADA operator terminal they would like to be able to keep a 'master set' of these settings, call up a mould/colour combo and see the individual parameters. Then they would like to edit individual parameters and download to each individual machine, or all at once. I do have a PLC at the Main terminal that was used for translation of the old serial network to ethernet. All of the serial connections have been removed so it is basically doing nothing. I could use this as a "master" for holding parameters if needed. What is the best way to go about this. Create a database, use the built in recipe manager, use PLC here as 'master storage". I feel once I get down a path it will make more sense...I just don't want to pick the wrong option and have to redo it all. Keep in mind my PLC coding is vastly superior to my knowledge of database manipulating and VB coding ThanksDan
