Configure Driver - Station Mapping with RSLinx Classic
xunilbama posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Does anyone know how to delete the row labeled as, "63 - station number" and "Driver - Host Name". Our IPs range from .50 - .90, I would like to associate the station with an IP that correlates to one another. For example, Station 50 = xx.xxx.x.50, Station 51 = xx.xxx.x.51, etc However, when I go to add a station 63. I get the error dialog that tells me 63 can not be added because it already exist. I have had this problem in the past, but never got around to wanting to figure out how to solve it. ** Jumped the gun ** (modified) You can rename 63 to whatever number you choose it to be....- 4 replies

I have a test station to test MR-J2S Servo drivers, I am looking for something unique in the drivers to be able to save data about that test. First thought was the SN, but i am not seeing any way to pull serial number from the driver. Only found it on the side of driver and really don't want people having to type it in , cause usually they type in the wrong numbers. Does anyone know of a way to get the serial number out of the driver? or at least where it could be found? Or any other unique identifier in these drivers?

Panelview Plus and network printing
Transistor posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I wish to print from a Panelview Plus 7 1500 to a Konica Minolta 'bizhub' 4402P. The printer is not on the same network as the machine but is reachable through a router to the corporate network. I already have this working on one machine but don't know how we succeeded in setting it up. The setup that works is: Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard (it's actually a Konica Minolta 4402P). Model: Color LaserJet 3800. Port 10.xx.xx.xx (the WAN address of the printer). Driver: wt5hpspd.dll (v52.1070) We never had a Color LaserJet 3800 but we may have had a black and white HP laser printer that worked with this driver and now works with the Konica when our IT department replaced it. When using Add Printer the system tries to connect with the specified IP address and fails (even though we can ping it) and then the drive installation stops. Does anyone know a way to force the installation so I can try to replicate the working setup? -
Dear all... I am new here. I have a problem when connect my laptop to new PLC FX3U series. There was sign that I must update a driver for FX3U-USB-BD. Where can I get it for free? Could anyone here help me to share a link please? thanks! Haniv

I have a client who is duplicating an existing Wonderware SCADA/MELSEC Q Series with a Wonderware 2014 R2 configuration, which they want to maintain that version. The driver they use is the DASMTEthernet, which is no longer available from Wonderware. I'm looking for any lead I can find to get hold of this driver, or a good solution to resolve the communications.

I have reloaded a IPC477D with Windows 7 64-bit and everything is working but since we do not have the original installation disk or ISO, we have no way to load the touchscreen driver. I am looking for any information that would lead me to the OEM for the touchscreen or if anyone has access to the IPC installation DVD, all we need is the touchscreen driver directory which should have both the 32-bit and 64-bit version. Siemens tech support indicated we must repurchase a installation DVD for $350.00 and it would ship from the fatherland and be here in about a week. Thanks in advance.

At the moment I can't edit anything in driver so I can't configure it to use it with my SCADA iFIX 5.8

S7A driver shows same values for different inputs in data monitor
horvatmiha posted a topic in Siemens
Hello! I am beginner in PLC world, also in SIEMENS PLCs. I managed communication over private network. Now I have a problem that I get same values on all inputs. Picture below shows my configuration of driver and data monitor. First picture shows values when input I0.0 is in state 0. Second picture shows values when input I0.0 is in state 1. Physically on PLC only input I0.0 is forced to 1, input I0.1 stays 0. But data monitor shows both inputs as state 1. Where is problem? Is problem in PLC program, TIA portal? I saw some guys using DataBlocks but I am not skilled enough to use it. Third picture shows simple PLC program on my PLC. Please help. Thanks in advance! -
Hello! I am trying to connect my PLC with SCADA. I am using S7-1200 1212C CPU (RELAY outputs). My SCADA system is iFIX 5.8 with driver S7A. I am trying to establish connection via GPRS router (TCP/IP). Port being used is 102 (default by S7A driver). In my company we have private network, SIM card in GPRS router gets static IP (set by RADIUS server) which is 10.247.XXX.XXX. My PLC has IP 192.168.0.10 set in Project. I am not sure what am I doing wrong. How to correctly set IP address in PLC to communicate in private network via GPRS router with static IP? I already enabled TCP port 102 in my router but I am not sure to which IP should I enable it because I am not sure if IP address set in PLC is correct. Should I use some communication blocks in program? I also enabled PUT/GET function (see attached pictures). Please help. Thanks in advance! :)

RSLinx ethernet IP driver with Red Mark
efraga posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Hi, I've been working with RSLogix 500, today i found that i was unable to connect to Micrologix PLC because in the RSLinx the Driver Ethernet IP that was configured to communicate whit PLC appears with a Red Cross. Yesterday everything was working. I've installed an antivirus software, i supposed the reason was the antivirus, but i've tried on configs and even uninstalling it, and RSLinx seems that can't reconigze the ethernet adapter (guess that means red cross) RSLinx 3.51 CPR 9 SR 5.1 RSLogix 500 Pro 9.0 Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bits Could you, provide to me some guidelines to solve this, or if somebody has had this problem, could share the solution? thanks in advance -
Hello, Does anyone have experience with getting online a NJ/NX via USB with Sysmac Studio running on windows 10? At Omrons website it says Sysmac Studio offers windows 10 support from version 1.15 but I can't find drivers anywhere. Have checked in the communication middleware folder as you can see in the attached picture. https://www.myomron.com/index.php?action=kb&article=1580 I have Sysmac Studio 1.20.1.0 running on Windows 10 Professional. Its not a big problem for me right now, because I can always connect via Ethernet, but if the driver exist I would appreciate having it.

One more thing is that i found a communication driver for modbus rtu but the tags addresses are in the standard form for modbus, so is there any solution for this? thanks a lot . -
Please refer the images. Please note down the RED mark in drive image. In my factory their is an grinding machine in which they used this drive to drive the motor. The mainboard was burnt down so i tried to start the motor manually. From the machine I observed,1.It operating in single phase power supply(Given to R and S) and three phase output(U,V,W) is given to the motor.2.STF and SD are given to the control board.3. 10 and 2 shorten down using an small wire.By this they controlling the speed of the motor. My doubts are,1.Is STF and SD are acting as switch to switch ON/OFF the motor..?By connecting an simple switch across the STF and SD to control the motor. If we connected the switch means we can switch ON the motor manually..?2.In datasheet they adviced to use an 1/2W,1K POT to control the speed of the motor. But here they shorted 10 and 2.Byt this way how they controlling the speed of the motor..?

Hi. I'm running a Windows 7, 64-bit machine. I have NB Designer 1.4 installed. when I plug in the nb7w-tw00b, it shows up as "MTP USB device", and that the driver install failed. so I opened Device manager and find the item, I right-click "MTP USB device", and "update drivers". I click "Browse for my drivers" and navigate to "C:\programfiles (x86)\omron\nb-designer\driver". I check "Include subfolders". then click next. it does not find the drivers. says "MTP drivers are the best" So I try again: right click the "MTP USB device" but this time I click "browse for drivers", then "Let me pick from my device drivers...". i navigate to C:\programfiles (x86)\omron\nb-designer\driver. I select the bulksub.INF file, and i get this error: "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with WIndows for x64-based systems" NOTE: I just tried this on a Windows 7 32bit machine. same problem. Except the message says "Make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x32-based systems" Any thoughts to get this to work?
