Hi all, I'm having an issue with EcoStructure Control Expert where when using DTM browser I try to connect but I get a message "No Ethernet/IP device at specified address...." My issue is that I had a device communicating using modbus but it has stopped and I cannot diagnosis the issue. I can ping the address and run a modbus poll from a PC on the network and everything performs correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi all, We have a DOP 107CV HMI we interface this HMI with microcontroller through RS485 Modbus protocol. I'm new to HMI and PLC's although we are successful in interfacing HMI with Controller(Communication Established successfully) We made a table in HMI and allotted some registers to Modbus address and data is transferred from controller to HMI up to this we are good in communicating Since the table created is static and we cannot scroll down from that table so, to overcome this problem we found History buffer and made PLC trigger and allotted address. In that History Buffer we created 7 rows and the data is sample whenever we triggered the PLC in that case scrolling is working fine, but the problem we are facing is whenever we update 3 rows out of 7 and triggered the PLC only 3 samples are updated in first column and in the next step we updated the other 4 rows and triggered the PLC the data is sampled on next column but we required it to be sample on first column instead of second.

hi I am traying to connect 10 plc's FX3U to a scada system, on the plc's there are a rs232db and FX3U-232ADP-MB cards. i have devices transmit the rs232 by lan or any thing I need (rut955) my problem is when i download the program on plc same times the communication go right , but if i powering pls off then on the communication fail down. Hello. I'm trying to use Omron ETN21 as master for ModbusTCP protocol. I can communicate with 1 SLAVE UNIT (standard modbusTCP slave) using FB MTCP_ETN_Client.zip  from https://www.myomron.com/index.php?action=kb&article=1245. It works perfectly. But I have three SLAVE UNITS to communicate to. I'm trying to do this using [524]Modbus_TCP_FB.zip sample. I have copied SECTION1 to SECTION2 and changed IP number and SOCKET number. But this doesn't work. I would realy appriciate a working sample where OMRON PLC is MASTER for THREE (or more) SLAVES. I'm attaching code file... Thanks. Best regards, Andrej. Hello out there   I've searched for quite some time but unable to find any information helping me through this. I got a Omron PLC NX1P2 where im supposed to setup modbus communication over TCP/IP but so far i've only been able to find information regarding RTU setup. But seen forums mention its possible to setup via TCP/IP Anybody who can help. A program sample would be helpfull aswell. Im a trainee as automationengineer and this is my first encounter with Omron PLC and Modbus so quite new to the field.   kind regards Ivan T.

Hello, I'm trying to connect a CJ1M-ETN21 as slave Modbus TCP with a Modbus/Dali Gateway. I download from Omron website some FB with ones should be possible.   https://www.myomron.com/index.php?action=kb&article=1245 The FB only can be used with the direction unit 0, but we can change some directions inside the FB and can be adjusted to other units. In the download I found this FB: MTCP_ETN_Connect, MTCP_ETN_Fn01, MTCP_ETN_Fn02, MTCP_ETN_Fn03 .... Supposed with connect we can establish the connection with the master, but the FB never make nothing. Should I make some special configurations to use this FB? I appreciate any help. Thanks

i am using indusoft web studio for the modbus logging. program runs successfully but after a half day or a day it shows error " error initializing the driver modbu 10.10: invalid serial port "any suggestion will be appreciated.RegardsZubair Ahmed

Dear Engineerds,   My Master (non siemens) doesn't see the Holding Registers of the Slave (S7-1200) plc. However the Q coils are fine and all Diagnostics don't show errors. The Hardware: S7-1200 – CPU 1215C CM PtP – CB1241 RS485 (6ES7 241-1CH30-1XB0) - Half Duplex RS584   Firmware: Modbus_Comm_Load (V3.1) Modbus_Slave (V4.0)   I've tried with various DB, UDTs and manipulating HR_Start_offset parameter with no success. Hi there, Im having issues controlling ATV 320 VSDs over Modbus RTU with a M221 plc, does anyone have any pointers for me to look at? I believe I Have set everything up correctly but when I run the program on the plc the atv's just stay in 'NST' state I have included screenshots if they are any use   My speed reference in this example is taken from the memory word %MW0 which I am inputting via a HMI   I have addressed all my ATVs accordingly in there setting with the correct Modbus parameters and selected Modbus under the FR1 configuration, am I missing anything?? Any help is appreciated as I am really struggling   Tom

Hello everyone. I need help setting up a data transfer between a CP1H with a CIF41 module, and a CJ2H. I realize this can't be done with Ethernet/IP, so I figure FINS should do the trick. I've read up a bit on the SEND and RECV instructions, and tried to set up a RECV in the CJ2H (since I know the CIF41 can't act as the sender, it can only receive), but I just can't seem to get it to work... I work at a factory and we're setting up a data collection system. It is mostly CJ2s with EIP tags doing most of the transters, but there are a few machines where EIP tags can't be utilised. Unfortunately I don't really have the freedom of choice what to work with, my budget is already pretty dry, so I kinda have to work with what I have... We need to read 100 WORDs from the CP1H to the CJ2H and send 10 WORDs from the CJ2H to the CP1H, so I figure I'll need to make both SEND and RECV in the CJ2H. CJ2H-CPU64EIP Has two EIP units, built-in and an EIP21. Acts as a relay device to the internal production line network. All the machines on the line network send data via EIP tags to this relay machine. The internal network: Built-in EIP (CPU Unit 0) IP: 10.1.95.80/24 FINS Net 95 FINS Node 80 External network: CJ1W-EIP21 (Unit 2) FINS Node 9 FINS Net 2 IP 10.1.99.9/16 CP1H-X CP1W-CIF41 in the left slot. IP: 10.1.95.180/24 FINS Net 95 FINS Node 180 They are on the same subnet within the line network and the same FINS Network as well. I have successfully set up routing tables and can connect from the external network via the added EIP21 card on the CJ2H to the CP1H PLC and work on it in CX-Programmer and other tools. That should mean the communication works, and I'm just failing to configure the RECV parameter properly... Here's what I have right now: I've pretty much followed the example in the W465 manual from page 235 in combination with the Instruction Help for RECV. (Instructions horizontally are intentional for the purpose of saving vertical space for this screenshot, I normally have them vertically. Also sorry for basically no symbol comments...) In the CP1H in D0 I've input FFFF. I run this by setting on W511.15 and hope that FFFF will appear in E3_3800, but no such luck. A202.00 does blink indicating the logical port did get used and the instruction executed, but didn't work as needed. I'm not sure about the response code. Here's how I understand the control words: D7700 being #0064 means 100 WORDs transmitted. D7701 being #005F means that the FINS Network of the PLC I read from (CP1H) is 95 D7702 being #B4E4 means that the FINS Node of the PLC I read from (CP1H) is 180, and the Unit address on that PLC is the Serial Communications Board Port 1 (I think this thing is what I'm getting wrong, I just can't figure out what to put here... I've tried 00 for the Unit address and that transferred from D0 on the CJ2H which isn't what I wanted, I've also tried #10 to specify a CPU Bus Unit 0, as well as FE to specify "Unit connected to network (not necessary to specify Unit)", but none of these worked) D7703 being #000F means no response needed, use logical port 0, and retry 15 times D7704 being #0 means default timeout Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

From a PM from @Jason_G I am newbie her  to omron and need some help. I am trying to program a tank level control using a CP1H. What I would like to do is to take a 4-20mA signal from a DP cell located on the bottom of the tank to measure the level (0 to 100%). I would want to take this level and send it to a PID which would then manipulate a VFD pump to control the level base on the set value in the PID as well as the PV from the transmitter. I need help in setting up the PID parameters and also how best to scale the analog input should I use SCL or APR?  Specs: DP Transmitter : 4-20mA on Tank O to 10 feet of water to be displayed in percentage of 0 to 100% VFD pump taking in an analog of 4 to 20mA to drive a 0 to 2000 rpm VFD drive   Tank Level Program.cxp

Hi All need to convert a Decimal Value into Ascii code to send out on serial 485. eg. Weight comes in as Int 12345 i need to send it out in Ascii as 23 32 20 31 32 33 34 35. I have created an array 0 of 8 (Word) DB. Is there an easy way split the int into Digits convet in into HEX and slot the value into the various array positions? Array 0 of 8 = 23 means # Array 1 of 8 = 32 means 2 (Station ID) Array 2 of 8 = 20 means Space Array 3 of 8 = 31 means 1 Array 4 of 8  = 32 means 2 Array 5 of 8 = 33 means 3 Array 6 of 8 = 34 means 4 Array 7 of 8 = 35 means 5 Array 8 of 8 = D means CR    this sends the value of 12345 to Display ID 2 . need help to convert the decimal number in ascii. the decimal number will be max of 5 digits and less than 32000   any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, could anyone help? On C+9 PIDAT parameter settings, what's the difference between the values of 0 and 1 in the bit 15 of C + 9? When I try 0 or 1, PID constants remain at the initial values that I made before, the auto tuning doesn't work. Thanks
