  1. Hello, everyone I have to query a SICK distance sensor from an L26CPU via the onboard Ethernet interface. I have created a simple protocol which I start with the function block SP_ECPRTCL. Unfortunately it takes at least 25ms until the next telegram is started. The sensor responds within approx. 1.5ms. Does anyone know whether that works faster or is that a limitation when using the predefined protocols? Sensor manual:  OD5000, 8021391 (sick.com)  (Chapter 7.4) I am grateful for all the hints. Thanks and regards Dave SICK_Protocol.tpc Messaufbau_vTest.gxw
  2. Hi there I am working on a project where Omron servo drags a part to a certain position using belt mechanism, But to avoid any slippage we decided to put an external encoder directly on the part. I was wondering what is the best to approach to drive the servo using the position of this external encoder. Is there any way that it can be configured directly with the servo? I am fairly new to coordinated motions, any help will be appreciated. Thanks
  3. Hello, I am started working on Gx Works 3 recently, actually want to know if I can access local labels from other program body or can call them to other program body?
  4. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat with supply issues and elongating lead times with the Logix 5500 and 5700 servo drives. Are there any decent alternatives that are easily integrated into a 5380 controlled system, maybe with an AOI? I've looked at Beckoff and Parker systems, but Parker only seem to line CoDeSys as far as I can tell. Do any of you clever clogs have any suggestions for a well stocked alternative? As a side note, I'm not new to PLC programming, but I am only 6 months in to using motion and servo systems so be kind :)
  5. FX 3U to Q CPU wireless Communication

Hello experts, i want to connect 9 FX3U units with one  Q cpu base PLC unit over wifi, can you plz share the configuration details.
  6. FX3U to FX3U via wifi

Good day fellow PLC ninjas! I have a question/ concern which I would love your opinions on. We have 3 FX3U PLC’s+ENET cards. Two of the 3 PLC’s move around in an EMS trolley. The other is a ‘base station’ with a GOT2000 connected via Ethernet. Base PLC IP = 192.168.1.11 HMI IP = 192.168.1.31 Carrier 1 IP = 192.168.1.61 Carrier 2 IP = 192.168.1.62 I have programmed the base PLC to use Active communication; we are using fixed buffer communication to send and receive data to/ from the Carriers. The carriers are set up as Fullpassive ‘slaves’. This part works well and the update time changes (using a counter in the base station) from 1s to 100ms (because it enters a different work station).  My issue is the following: using a network sniffer (WireShark), I pick up plenty of re-transmits and sequence number errors coming from the base PLC’s ENET card. This is troublesome and causes delays when the update time is required to be fast (100ms). I am sending and receiving 10 words of data. The wifi seems stable, and there is minimal noise in the area. The power has been turned down and the antennas used are suited well for the application. The antennas are at a similar height to minimize possible loss of signal. I have LOS (line-of-sight) to the carriers at all times; to at least one of the antennas (I am using 802.11n). Has anyone picked up issues or found settings which can be used for comms over wifi? I can easily do this using a S7-1200 Siemens PLC and have done so using 12x S7-1200 clients and 2 AP’s with 1 base PLC. I have also successfully done this using 8xFX3U client with a System Q base PLC. My suspicion is that the delay in reading and writing to/ from the BFM in the ENET card is causing this. I am not sure that if I change to a FX5U will help. The communication cards on the Mitsubishi PLC’s seem very limited. Does anyone have any technical details on the access times between the CPU and communications cards’ BFM? Help is as always, appreciated.
  7. Hello! I'm trying to connect my QD75M2 with a MR-J2S40B1 Servo amplifier with an SSCNET cable. The problem is when I try to turn on the Servo ON/OFF on the Intelligent function in GxWorks2, an error occurs saying the servo amplifier is disconnected with my QD75M2. I'm confident that I've wired it properly. What could be the problem? Hoping you might help. Thank you.
  8. simple motion cam curve

Good afternoon, I have a problem in an application for a rotary knife, I'm using a MR-JE-B servo to make this movement, while my material is powered by an inverter connected to a modbus rs485 network, with a 5v encoder connected directly in motion. I'm having some problems and I think it's my cam curve. I have a very high refeneration, and the system doesn't obey the size of the length I want the cut. It always cuts the same size, regardless of the configuration I use, it always cuts to 245mm. Put some photos, how are my settings. Grateful in advance, if anyone can help me. 9. Hey! Is there any possibility to acces the PLC variables in GXWorks from another program? Like I want to read and write the I/O-s or Merkes in the Mitsubishi PLC from another program Could someone help me with this? Thank you!
  10. Hello! Is there any possibility to connect a Mitsubishi PLC to a program like Siemens Plant Simulation? With Siemens PLC I can do it through OPC UA protocol, or Shared Memory with SIMIT, or stuff like that. But I would need to do it also with Mitsubishi PLC. Can I use for example OPC Server? I couldn't find out, if Mitsubishi PLC-s have that function built-in. (I have a L02 and a FX3S COU, either of them would be great.) Thank you!
  11. My HP laptop will lose communication with Mitsubishi PLC occasionally after removing ethernet cable to download from WiFi. Our company limits the ability to use the wi-fi when I have an ethernet cord connected to my laptop, it has to do with security. If I am connected to the Mitsubishi PLC, then want to download another file from our autosave, which we connect through the wifi, I have to remove the ethernet cord from my HP laptop to enable the ability to go wireless, however sometimes when I attempt to go online with the PLC after I re-connect my ethernet cable, GX developer will not allow it. I can ping the plc and even go online with other PLCs on the network, but for some reason, the one I was connected to will not connect. I restart my computer and even re-download the file again from autosave but no joy. Its not until an unknown amount of time that it will allow me to re- connect, its as if I lose the socket connection on the plc and it needs time to reopen. I talked to our IT department and they have no ideas. Thank you in advance for any help on this matter.
  12. Is it possible to reset " Motor replacement detected error" ( Error code 95.01) using code without connecting to PLC through sysmac studio? If yes please suggest how to do it... Thanks in advance...
  13. A1S68AD CARD

Hello. I have a system in which an A1S68AD card is used, that card has been damaged . I replace that damaged card with the new A1S68AD card with same wiring and same setting of dip switch. But at channel number 3 there is a RTD connected which gives 4-20 mA signal. But in Plc at channel number 3 the data register is showing -2400 fixed value all the time and in actual the temperature is varying. But PLC SHOWS FIXED VALUE OF -2400. PLEASE HELP ME OUT.
  14. All of the ethercat servos I have installed are Omron. I have used many many brands in the past - over analog, pulse train, but not ethercat. I have one of the Yaskawa servopacks that can control two servos independently. The drive is all wired (POT, NOT, safety), autotuned, it's in RUN OK state, I have installed the ESI file, set up the axis, mapped the PDOs.. it's all working, but they do not move. I made a test program just with MC_POWER and MC_MOVEJOG/MC_MOVERELATIVE/MC_MOVEABSOLUTE along with the resetting of MC and EC and the servos do turn on, but ignore any movement command. They do not flare up with an error, and they give me their actual position, so the network is working. If I send the movement command the command position starts to differ, so the plc is/should be sending the command. I feel like there's something missing in the PDO mapping screen, but I didn't need to do all of this with Omron so I have no idea. I thought at first the servos needed huge units of movement and speed but the actual position value confirms this is not the case since it doesn't ever change.
  15.  What is the difference between Active Immediate homing and passive immediate homing ?   Does Motion servo axis have to be turned ON for active immediate and turned OFF for passive immediate homing ?.
  16. I have seen some programs in which they manually unlatch all bits like in figure 1, and in some programs they don't do that.  The instruction help page, ladder execution says that in pre-scan .EN, .DN, .ER, .IT bits are cleared to false So do we need to unlatch all these bits before giving a motion command like MAM ?
  17. Dear all, I have a FX2N-20MR chinese semi-clon of a Mitsubishi PLC. It has only a serial DB9 port that cannot be removed or exchanged (which is possible in the Mitsubishi original PLC). I wonder if I can make a simple SCADA system using that port and just one computer. I am reading this post: https://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?/topic/9653-fx-series-and-modbus/ And I am wondering how I can do what it is suggested there in the second message:  to use a free FB block, available in GX IEC (but not in GX Developer), which will communicate modbus via a standard RS232 BD board. Later on it mentions a library called ModbSFX. That message is from 15 years ago so I am wondering if now there is some other way to do it, perhaps some other software has that functionality? I don't have GX IEC. I am a student trying to make a project so I would like a cheap and simple solution. Any help to do so will be very welcome. Thanks Regards Marcelo

  19. We currently have Delta DVP60ES2 and DVP32ES3 PLC's doing positioning control on Inovance IS 620PS2R8I 400w Servo Drives by Pulse/Direction. Under both of these environments our pulse count read on the Inovance drives are reading higher than what the PLC is outputting. We also have Mitsubishi & Inovance PLCs, which when connected to the same Inovance drives dont have any discrepancies in the pulse count. We also have Delta ASDA servo drives, which when connected to the Delta DVP PLC's also don't have any discrepancies. Given we have tested these combinations, it has led us to believe there is something unique about the pulse train output from the DVP PLC's that is causing the Inovance drives to read additional pulses. Has anyone experinced a similar issue with Delta PLC pulse output? If so what was the solution?
  20. Hi guys, I am using a GT2107-wtsd HMI and a FX5U-32M PLC with gx works3 and designer3, i setup some simple ladder code to test that everything works, but i cannot get a normally closed contact to open when i press the button on the HMI and make the light turn off? screenshot below shows the code and the HMI buttons, when just looking at the HMI screen, all lights should be off with the exception of light number 2 as it is conected to a Normaly closed contact and i want it to open when i press the button on the HMI beside LT2 (light 2). I cant seem to get it to work.. please help, thanks.
  21. Analog input melsoft (fx3u)

Hello, I am new to the programming of logic controllers. I have a Chinese FX3U 24 inputs and outputs with analog in and outputs. I am trying to teach myself the basics of the programming but I am stuck at the analog part.    what I am looking to do is create a program so that when a 12v battery bank voltage drops and rises it can trigger other outputs. I have a voltage divider which outputs 1/5 of the input.    Thanks for your help in advance.  Ben.
  22. Hello everyone, I have this weird problem that the PC (process complete) bit of MAS command does not clear after a cycle time.  As you may probably see in the picture attached when the desired torque has been reached, the servo has to be stopped using MAS command; however, this is good only for one cycle!! The PC bit will remain on even when the whole sequence gets unlatched/reset. I have to manually reset this bit. I was wondering if you could help me with this issue, please?  Thank you!
  23. Hey guys, I am new to mitsubishi software and hardware and i need help connecting to my PLC. 24. GT2107-WTSD not showing in GT Designer3

Hi guys, im just looking for some help if possible, I am trying to setup a HMI (2107-wtsd) but GT Designer3 does not have this model nor does it have any 2107 models in the GOT type dropdown. How can i get my model to show? I have tried setting the GOT type as a G2105 and the GT softGOT2000 and these did not work, the HMI is on a white screen with install package data but i cannot do this if it is not in the GOT dropdown correct? I have attached some pictures to show. the HMI is connected to the PLC via ethernet and the laptop is connected to the HMI via usb I am very new to this so we are using test benches so if anything looks wrong i am very sorry
  25. Hi, I am facing the strange problem with QCPU (Q03UDE) Controller, I have multiple modules in my project ( Analog, Modbus & Digital Modules) but after some time a random error comes and all my analog Chanel values hold the last values, meanwhile controller does not show any error in the diagnostic tool. After rebooting the PLC power Chanel values start to update. This thing happens randomly.  Kindly help me.  Thanks in advance
