  2. when i try to upload a code to m340 it give me this message  "This isn't a valid PLC Address, or PLC is busy , or media is off." whatever i use usb or tcp/ip port, it don't always give me the message but most of the time it does and i have to unplug and replug the cable many time until it upload the code, i am sure it's not a cable problem what can it be?
  3. Morning Guys, For my latest project I need to read a gas sensor via 485 from a Momentum PLC. I've been through the help files, but they seem to only raise more questions than they answer, they only seem to reference PLC -> PLC comms. I've had a play with the 'MBP_MSTR' & 'OUT_IN_MBUS' function blocks, but i can't seem to get anywhere, Has anyone got any examples of reading in data via 485, or can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Hello everybody, I have network from : PC - 192.168.3.11 PLC - 192.168.3.250 I change this option in FX5U PLC in GX Works3 for Network Ethernet port --> Application Setting -> Security -Disable Direct connect with MELSOFT : Enable/disable -DO not respond CPU module search : Respond / not respond and I upload program to PLC. After upload program to PLC and restart it was impossible to connect again. I Have ping between PLC and PC, but could't write program. Always writes me Error <ES:0180840b> So to disable Security Option you should to do : 1. Open Works3 2. New Project (Choose your PLC - FX5U) 3. Online menu 4. Specify Destination Communication 5. Click twice in PLC module 6. Set Connect via hub (In my case i connect PC and PLC directly !) 7. Choose IP Address ( in my project : 192.168.3.250 , PC must be in same network 192.168.3.X) 8. Give OK 9. Connect Test. With steps I disable security options and it was enable to connect to PLC and Write data on it. I Hope that will help to other with same problem.     Never Succes Upload from PLC to MEDOC v2.4, always brake on step 1302,always have massage invalid intruction found. Upload from PLC to PC ..never done,succes full.Please help me,,what happen?.

So my company recently purchased a new Allen Bradley PLC Demo kit from Amatrol (CompactLogix L16ER) and I installed the Studio 5000 v24 onto our company computer and started going through the Amatrol Lesson Plans. But then I had a bit of a snag. The lessons required that I open the files from the From Upload option on the Studio 5000 start up screen. Only, it wasn't there! There is no From Upload option on the start up screen. Anyone have any ideas how or why it's not there, and most importantly, how to get it there? It's kind of important!   Thanks!

    Hello All, I have an older Total Control Quick Panel QPI2D100L2P 10.4 inch Monochrome that I am trying to retrieve the program on. The original programmer is unknown and we do not have a copy of the program. The screen has gone out on this panel.I am using quickdesigner on an XP virtual machine. I have the correct programming cable the 8 pin DIN connector HMI-CAB-C49-JWhen I connect to the HMI, The software "sees" that the HMI is connected and says "waiting for the Display to be ready" then times out and tells me "the display is Hung" and another message "Turn display OFF" when I turn it off the software gives me the message "Turn Display ON" then when I turn it on, the software goes to "waiting for the Display device to be ready" and just sit there. Nothing more. I have waited for 20 mins for it to progress and nothing. At first I thought maybe the Panel that I am working on is just bad. However I get the same indications on another, same model, quick panel that IS working just fine. I know this is older stuff. And ProFace Support (who took over making the replacements from TCP) wont support using quick designer on anything other than a Win 2K machine or older. Anyone have experience with these panels?

  9.   Hi All.I hope you are all doing excellent and also, hope you can help me.Today I contact you as I am having some issue when programming a PLC.I need to create a piece of software that:1) Can control a random number of machines at any given time.2) Each machine is a slave 3) They are exactly the same, do exactly the same thing.--------------So far I have managed to create a piece of code that allows me to control a fixed number of machines but things get complicated when one job does not need 10 machines but 20 and the next one needs 15, and the next need 5 and so on.I have thought to use arrays to do this job but this is an area I have not touched at all and I would like to ask for your advice in this area.I hope everything is understood.Thank you very much for your help in advance.
  10. Hi guys, I'm attempting to implement a fuzzy logic controller from scratch. I plan on using a lookup table to assist with retrieving the membership value. Does anyone know how to implement a lookup table. I know there is a L9P_LKUP block in the LL984 editor..except I'm not sure how to actually enter in the parameters or read from it.   Kind regards, Luchek

Hi all Does anyone know how or the Tool to use for Exporting Variables from Unity Pro so I can remove the Register base Addressing for Various Tags and insert Direct Addressing I/O to the Alias Of Attribute for those Variables? This then to be Imported back into the project with the New Aliasing in affect. I have spoken to Tech Support and they say there is a tool (Excel Add On) that comes with V11 in a directory called Extras. I cant find the directory lol. He is coming back to me about the tool but could not tell me if this tool will help with the Aliasing I need to do. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas on this.

    Hello gents,   I have an issue were I try to upload the program in the processor.  I have a copy of the program from a few months back however there have been some changes made to the program since then therefore RS5000 prompts me if I want to upload or download.  The program was done in v 20.01 and thats what I have as well. When I select upload everything goes good as fa as connecting and uploading tags but as soon as it start uploading the routines it stops part way through and gives a message that Logix couldnot upload AddOn instruction.  Has anyone seen this andhow did you get around it?

  15. Hello! So I have this issue with me by this week. I have an NJ with unit version 1.00. I had not did any download/upload on this unit. Due to the need of showing using Password capability on Function Blocks, I need to upgrade the unit firmware version, so I changed it to 1.10. After that I tried to program a simple two Sections program. I left the CPU for a week, then when I get back to it, I upload the program from the CPU. And the upload was SUCCESSFUL! No errors are shown. However all of the Rungs inside each Sections contains nothing. Even though the two Sections that I made before are still present. The program itself is still working though. If I open the previously saved project, going online and do variable controlling, I'm still able to do so. Has anybody experienced this before? Any suggestions / solutions? Thank you...
  16. Am I right in thinking that you can't pass arguments into a subroutine (SR Section) in Unity Pro? I am using v8 and can't seem to find a way of doing it. I want a reusable function that I can just call on demand, so a subroutine is perfect. But I need to call it with different parameters. Will have to be a DFB is this isn't possible, I guess.

  20. Hello all, first post here, and thanks in advance for the help. I'm a fairly green SCADA and controls designer and although I worked fairly extensively with these systems in the past, I followed a sightly different career path for the last several years and haven't had my hands on a PLC that whole time. Started a new job and am rebuilding my knowledge with it. Fortunately my company afforded me a PLC to take home and mess around with for this purpose. I feel pretty dumb as I am struggling to even connect with it, haha. Here are the stats: Backplane: TSXRKY4EX (end caps are securely in place) Power supply: TSX PSY2600 Processor: TSX P57 6634 First I attempted to connect via ethernet, using the IP address sticky-noted to the front of the processor: 10.1.1.80. No luck, "PLC address is incorrect, or PLC is busy, yadda yadda". As I understand, the default IP address can be converted from the MAC address. The last two MAC address numbers were: CF.87, which gave me the address 85.16.207.135. Same result with this. I tried pinging both address from the command console and had no luck there either. I happened to have a USB to unitelway adapter (Telemecanique brand) and attempted using that as well, Address:SYS.. Media:Unitelway. No luck, same answer. After a lot of frustration and hours spent scouring the internet for answers, I took the nuclear option and pulled the battery (while unplugged) and replaced after 30 or so seconds. I was assuming this would clear the memory and reset the IP to default (85.16.207.135), afterwhich I could reconfigure and start fresh. Unity still can't connect nor can I ping it. It should be noted that I am using Unity Pro XL Version 8.0, on a VMware image. I did attempt pinging from both the VM and the host machine, both can ping other known devices so connection by the VM through the host shouldn't be the problem. Neither the VM or the host recieved a ping reply from the PLC. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I feel I have exhausted all options and I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot by pulling the battery. As far as whatever program was on it before is irrelevant, the PLC was given to me to do with whatever I wish, so memory loss wasn't a danger. I just need to connect to it. Thanks!!
  21. I am trying to upload from Panel View Plus 600 to my laptop using Factory Talk View ME via Ethernet. The RSLinx Enterprise does see the Panel View but when I hit the upload button I get the following error message: "The source selected is not a valid device. Please select a valid source and try again." Does anyone know what is the issue? I am attaching screen shot to visualize what is happening.

  23. Hello i need to write a very long net in unity pro, the maximum length is 11, can I continue the net in the net below net using a conditional jump to a label? I have been trying but it doesn´t work, the net below is executed dispite the net above is not true as seen in the image attached, can anyone tell me how to continue a net that is too long? Thanks
