  1. Hi all, I am studying how to control servo with PLC Mitsubishi Q-series. When I click Servo_parameter in Simple motion module setting tool, this annoucement appears.  Does anyone know why it appears? I tried reinstalling MR-configurator 2 but it didn't help. Please give me some advices. Thank you all!
  2. Hello Everyone, I am new at this forum, seeking help from you guys and gals. Scenario: I have a Controllogix 1756-L71 5570 controller installed with 1756-TIME module. The function of time module is to take time from GPS clock module in NTP format and send it to controller in PTP format. All the status LED's on Time module are OK. Also sync LED is Green. Still the time of controller is not synchronized with GPS clock there is a difference of 45 mins. Fellows please help. I'll be helpful.
  3. Does anyone know how to reset the "Maximum Total Observed" CIP Connection statistics on a EN2T or a L83 Processor?
  4. Hi Every one, I have two 2198-P070 bus power supplies for that I’m using for four Kinetix drives, 2 drives per power supply, all controlled by one processor (5069-L350ERMS2). I have an enable contactor setup for each power supply for each set of drives. I have them configured as DC bus groups 1 and 2 respectively. I had the first set of drives working, setup inside the motion group, with no issues. When I added the second power supply and drives. I found that when I added them to the motion group I couldn’t get the enable contactor to close for the first set of drives. I f I took them out of the motion group and made them ungrouped then the first contactor would close but then I couldn’t get the contactor on the second set to close. Do you have any thoughts as to what I might be missing to get these to work? See the screen shots for more detail. Let me know what you think.  Also, I have heard that only one motion group is allowed per PLC, but my question is : Can I use  sevral axes and Power units in the same motion group?
  5. I am desperately trying to understand the OMRON way of programming (28 yr. AB programmer) when it comes to Motion Control.  I am pouring over example programs and what I can understand in Omron manuals.....  What I cannot find is where you get all the bit level information from for individual axis....  For example, just a simple bit signaling a Servo Fault; I have a program that I have been studying and there is a bit with the variable MC_NailPunch_Station.MFaultLvl.Active, it obviously comes from the Axis "MC_NailPunch_Station", but I cannot find the reset of that variable anywhere in the program, in any setup....nothing. Is there a list somewhere of things like this I can use in my program for status bits etc.?   Thanks,
  6. Conversion from A to Q

Good Evening everyone, I do realise that this has possibly been done before but quite a few years ago and the links no longer seem to work or links to Mitsi pages that are in Japanese, so please excuse me. I have soem A series PLC kit that needs replacing and I have bought all new Q series stuff to replace(where possible). I have been languishing a little on this project now for a few months but need to get moving. I purchased a GOT HMI and got a good deal on the HMI and the complete Mitsubishi Software Suite the local Mitsi guru said that was all I needed to get the job done. But afetr delving into what came inthe box it seems I need a A - Q Conversion Support Tool https://www.mitsubishielectric.com/fa/products/cnt/plca/pmerit/renewal/case/support_tool.html However I cannot find the software on any of the DVD's that I have and I cannot seem to find a download. So I am stuck now. Can anyone help point me in the right directon? Any Help greatly appreceiated. Thanks in advance.

Dear all, the following error happened with me as following  1-power cut happened  2-rack with DO wasn't working "meaning no DO on plc module or from PLC but from function was active & some DO was blinking very fast" action I took  1-after more try change address for DO module from H/W configuration with spare DO "using Rewiring Option" worked well  but I face the following error "i don't if problem was new or related to last action' error on counter module FM450-1  I/O access error and error on FC40 "System function for counter module" no change in H/W wiring in field was done  any one need more data can ask  DO & FM not on the same rack  CPU416
  9. HI I'm using PlC5/20 when I click on setup screen on the BTR block (to view the analog input configuration) i find the following message: No modules exist in the IOconfiguration for this R/G/M however the analog input signals is running properly....i just want enter the setup screen for configuration. I'm assuming that I need to enter I/O module in the I/O configuration? Can I do this without taking PLC to Program mode?
  10. CCLINK program problem

Hello everyone, I want to ask,, Does address mapping use this concept to do "remote i / o station" can be done? following the network parameter settings for CCLink and I tried to program with this ladder, is that correct?
  11. Hi all. I have a Kinetix 350 and an AB TLY servo motor. I'm using the drive's STO function. AC power is supplied into the drive, passing through an "M1" contactor. It makes sense to m e to keep that contactor open, preventing AC power to the drive, until the drive is fully awake.  Is that what you guys do? Someone suggested to me in another forum ( http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=121021&highlight=drive+awake ) that there is no reason not to supply power to the drive right away because the STO function is inhibiting power to the motor anyway.
  12. Bonjour, Hello, I use a l33erm automaton and a Kinetix servo motor . This servo motor drives an engine with a chain moving in steps of 100 millimetres (there are 15 steps on the chain ) At each top of a cell this motor advances by 100 millimetre. in reality it advances from about 0 to about 100. Sometimes it is 100,002 times to 99,997 (this is important further) and when I give it a top it goes back to about 100 (100,003 times to 99,996) And so on and so forth up to no problem, I use a MAM with an absolute type of movement. It works.     However, this does not work any more after a rearmament following an emergency shutdown. if it is a 100,002 no problem at the next top the chain advances one step But when the engine is shut down at 99,997 and I give it the order to go to 100 it advances only by 0,003.  This only happens after an emergency stop (or door opening). Thank you for the help you can give me excuse my English this is a machine translation Un séjour sans faille
  13. A1S68DAV parameter

please can anyone tell me how to set A1S68DAV analog output module parameters , such as voltage output and resolution? or is the parameter can't be set at aLL (ie, fixed at -10V to 10V)?
  14. Hello,, I have motion controller A series A172SHCPUN,, I have written the program ladder into the CPU, but I can't write the motion program.. i dont have the program to open file the program motion and I want to ask if I have the software SW3RNC-GSVE, my os computer is window XP, Can it be installed? and is the cable transfer used the same as the ladder transfer program cable (SC09)?
  15. I am beginning my first project with the newer NX platform and am a little confused by the description in the manual vs what is actually in the sysmac setup.  The manual makes it sound like you can adjust the range settings for the card, but I don't see any where to do it in the setup.  I also don't know what the Index and sub-index columns mean, so I am wondering if this is a back door to access the range settings?
  16. Hello, I have an interesting problem that no one in our company can really answer for me.  We are using Drive Logix with a powerflex 700S phase 2 drive and controlling a machine that rotates 360 degrees, sits for a moment, then return back to zero degrees.  We are using the MAM instruction to tell the drive to run the motor to its desired degree.  The problem we seem to face, is when they change jobs, the weight changes and we have to adjust speeds in order to get the machine to rotate back up to 360 degrees.  Otherwise, the motor stops short.  It usually never faults or alarms, it just stops short.  For example, they might run it and it will stop at 240 degrees or 315 degrees rather than the 360.  My question is, why doesn't the drive continue to push the motor to 360 degrees?  Why wouldn't the drive fault out on something like over current?  It seems that it just stalls and stops.  Sometimes, the machine will be running great, but on occasion (1 or 2 times a shift), the machine will stop short again.  I am curious what causes this and how I might be able to fix this to force the drive to continue to try and get to that desired degree. Thank you for any help or input!
  17. hello everyone,,,, I want to running the motor in 100 rpm but how to setting electronic gear to control speed in servo motor HG-SR502,, does anyone know how?
  18. hallo everyone ...i use mitsubishi Q00UJCPU and QD77MS2.. i try to make a speed control program and the speed wants to be changed during servo operating, i use dedicated instructions ZP. PSTRT1 (axis 1) and have tryed but it was only successful to change speed with "change speed control" function once ... is it like it? cannot change "change speed control" many times when servo operations?
  19. GS2107-WTBD and rs232 input

We are upgrading our A900 GOTs (finally) and I'm looking into updating our key switches to rfid readers. Does anyone know of a good rs232 rfid reader to pair with a GS2107 GOT Simple? Also if anyone has had luck with scripting for security levels and could post a sample (be it GOT1000/2000) it would be awesome sauce.

  21. Geo1000

Hello all, I have a problem with PLC at work. I am working on historical code with a view to upgrading it for a roll out program to all site based PLCs. The code is to be downloaded using memory cassettes, and there is data on the PLC's which needs to be retained. I have re-worked the code and it performs as I would expect as per the following: 1) I download original code (V2.01) to PLC using CX1 2) The PLC simulates a cycle and various values are stored (the key variables are Installation Date and Service Due date). 3) I then download my code to the PLC and the variables have been retained. All so good so far.   The problem is that the factory production line uses PLC code saved using the PLC Backup Tool. When I download the original code to the PLC using this tool, I encounter various issues, but the main one is to do with real time PLC clock values. When I download the code direct from CX one developer,  I use the MOVD(083) instruction on A352 through four to give me a variable with the date, month and year. This morning (29/01/2019) the BCD values read as 41, 1 and 25, which translates to 29 (0010 1001), 1 and 19 (0001 1001). When I download the backed up code using the PLC  Backup tool, the values are totally different. I have run the backup files for both codes through a comparison program and there are no differences between them at all....... Can any one advise if they have experienced this before??   Thanks.
  22. First time using Connected Components Workbench and am modifying an existing program,  does anyone know why and how the original IO_EM_DI_ numbers have been changed and not just the alias'. When I right click and select properties for each tag it gives the address and says 'Read only cell' generated by the I/O wiring tool indicating the I/O channel to which the variable is wired' Any help would be great thanks!
  23. hallo all, I want to ask if I click "read PLC Data" the "points" will appear, I use the QY18A output module that uses 8 points but there is no choice, the smallest is only 16 points.  so I can't put 148 in the "start XY" column ... will it affect the I / O address in the program?
  24. Hello.. I have hmi Proface GP-4301TW, USB type B cable and ethernet cable. I want to transfer the program to the hmi but I cant. 25. From PM this morning

Fairly new programmer doing first analog section in project at new job. Im using NCF motion with parameter for torque control to send the torque values  a+8 (leftmost word) and a+9 (right most word) to CX programmer. From there is where I get confused will I just simply be moving both cio 108 and 109 to to a D register?? or will I have to combine the a+8 and a+9 to make a Dword??? and then taking that value to HMI broken line graph. sorry again for creeping in your inbox but ive been looking online for 6 hours. would greatly appreciate any help
