  2. RC servo motor sg90

    I new to the Cx-programmer. I'm facing a problem where i need make the servo motor go to certain direction and stop at the direction until other signal is sensed. Is there any instruction which can be used to do the ladder diagram? is it using PWM instruction? Is my servo motor (sg90) suitable for PLC ? do i need motor driver for this servo motor? or i just have to connect to the PLC 5v ? Im using CJ1M CPU21 PLC module. Im doing a sorting system project that use the servo motor to slide the item to certain angle.

  4. I am currently using a Kinetex 5500 Servo Drive with a VPL Motor and its has vertical load attached to it. My problem is even after setting my Brake Enagaged time to 0.01s it drops like a dime. I had made sure that I kept my Servo STO enable for 5 second before MSO is shutoff and MSF is engaged. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Attached is an action parameter settings for brake control.
  5. Hi All,  I was wondering if any of you guys could help me about improving my load sharing application. At the moment it's very unstable and i can't see what i am doing wrong! Thanks.  Details: I am trying to run a industrial chain conveyor using Torque control by Real sensorless vector control function of A700 Mitsubishi VFD. I have been following "Technical Note" which is provided by mitsubishi (see attached PDF).  As described on technical note, i am trying to control 5 motors ( 1 X 2.2kW, 4 X 1.1kW) to share the load on this chain conveyor. Torque command (SV) and Motor Torque (PV) read from Master VFD and PID output (MV) of Q03UDE transferred to Slave VFDs over CC-link. i would appreciate any information and help you can provide, Many Thanks.  Application_Technical_Note_Load_Sharing.pdf

I know it may sound stupid but I am new with Studio 5000 and trying to build a project where I have to home my servo drive other than the position to zero and it is not fix but rather decided by a safety switch. What I am looking for is a dynamic Home position Entry which I am able to find it in the axis parameter but not in the CIP_Structure. Is any kind of motion FB for home position set entry?   8. Looking for some servo application help. Software: I have GX works 2, GT Designer, and GX Developer.  Hardware: PLC L06CPU-P, GOT2000 HMI, MR-J4-350B servo amps, HG-JR35JK motors, LD77MS2 Pulser I have (2) AC servos that will simply move an aluminum frame backwards and forwards using a FESTO belt mover and I have a servo gear reducer 20:1. I have a "simple motion module"and all of this hardware and software, plenty of time, and would really like to finish this project off. But this is my first servo and my first hmi project. I have some experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, and Allen-Bradley plc's, and consider myself novice at best. Any sample programs or help getting me started would be greatly appreciated!  
  9. I am searching for the Replacement of the Ultra 5000 Servo Drive as i cant get online to it with the Ultraware software over wireless plant network. In order to get online i have to connect serial cable every time. And the Drives are used in time critical assembly line  kind of environment. So is there any other replacement which works as intelligent as of Ultra 5000 and also have additional feature of built in Ethernet port which can help me to get online with it wireless over plant network.

    Hi, I have begun to look into some positioning equipment we have had for a while. There is a CQM1 CPU51 connected to R88D-U series servo drives, and a CS1 with C200HW-NC113 and a R88D-U. I have found WinMon on myomron, but not tried to install it yet, will it run at all on a Win7 machine or do I have to dig out some older PC? Same with the NC unit, there is mentioned a SYSMAC-NCT program in the manual, but I have not been able to find this anywhere, Is this still a commercial item? Are there any newer software that will communicate with these old units? If we decide to upgrade any of this, will we have to replace all, or is it possible to reuse the servomotors or other parts? This is all for educational purposes, no production or safety issues involved. I would of course like my students to work with the most updated systems, but unfortunately we are on a limited budget :( Geir

Hello All, I'm in the process of tuning a motor and I understand almost everything that is happening.  The only thing that doesn't really make sense is how frequency relates to the speed of the motor.  For instance, let's say my 3db point is at 100 Hz.  I understand that from 0 to 100 Hz my motor is stable.  If I have a 3000 RPM motor, how does 0 to 100 Hz relate to the maximum speed I can run the motor and still have precise positioning. Thank you

I need your help.  I use the PLC: Q06UDEHCPU and the module: QJ71MB91. I programmed in the program GX Works 2 I instaled a library of "QJMB91ModbusSerial_V120 (FB - QJMB91ModbusSerialMaster)" and using it wrote temperature sensor interrogation program. The sensor is interrogated by the channel 2 and has the following switch settings:  Switch 1 - 0000; Switch 2 - 0000; Switch 3 - 0000; Switch 4 - 0A04; Switch 5 - 0000; which are specified by the PLC parameter in GX Works 2. I found an example of writing a program to install the switch settings in the user manual QJ71MB91 using ZP.UINIT instructions. I wrote a program to this exemple. Not prescribed bit address, which should be established when the program is executed (M0) (ZP.UINIT  "U4"  D0  M0). I wrote: ZP.UINIT  "U4"  D0  .  After executing ZP.UINIT instruction PLC stops working, blinking error, settings module is not install. How can I write a program to configure the Switch Setting?
  16. I am experiencing a serious problem. Everything went fine in my project for month. Yesterday when I "Transfer to Controller" (like I use to do several time a day) I got this Message : "Build is not complete. Process was aborted". So I build again, I Rebuild controler, I restart SysmacStudio, restart the computer, reset the hardware on the project ... nothing worked. Always the same message. So I opened a previous version of my code. Since it was allready built when saved, I had no problem transfering it in the controler. However, the moment I change a line (have to rebuild) on this backed up version... same problem appear. I finally got to the "output windows" (Alt+3) where I saw ALL build are failed. I've contacted my Omron representative and he is trying to help but he seem as lost as I am. Please help if you can, I am using Sysmac Studio 1.13 on Windows 10. I also have a HMI wired to the project and everything work fine with it.

  18. Hi guys, been using this site for a long time, it has come in handy alot. However I have recently taken on my first servo project, heres an overview of the project We have a filling machine that has a separate dosing system to the filler head. It used to keep the dosing in time by adjusting a 0-10v signal to an inverter to make sure that a flag makes a sensor in a set window. I have installed an encoder on the filling head and an mpl servo to the dosing. I have then used an MAPC instruction to follow the encoder, the cam is 0-360 and it follows a straight linear line. I have installed of this as a temporary set up on one of the filling machines (we have 2) and it is working perfectly. I have now installed this on the second machine as a permanent set up with a panelview plus 7, L71 cpu. However it is giving a very strange problem on first power up, the encoder is giving the exact same position as before it was powered down. however as soon as the MAPC executes the servo axis  faults, giving an overspeed fault. the servo doesnt even look like its attempting to move (however it is through a 10-1 gearbox). if i then home the encoder it then runs absolutely perfectly until it is powered down again. I am beginning to think it may be to do with the master lock and cam lock position, as the cycle stop position of the two machines are different. however I just cant seem to get my head around i the difference between them.   Hopefully that makes sense any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Rhys   c1_dosing.ACD

I was trying to find a good resource that I can start learning from A-Z, but I couldn't find any. I have a demo kit with compactlogix processor and two kinetix 6500 drives with servo motors. What is the best way to learn it. If you guys have any resources or basic sample program please help me. Any learning material would be helpful. Thank You All

  21. I am having trouble loading the configuration into a Micro984-230. I lost an old M84-002 PLC. I have the program. I purchased a Micro994-230 replacement. I lost my cable, so I made a new one. The only software that I have still running is Updoc 4.30b. I tested out my cable and Updoc by connecting to a 984-381. Everything worked fine online and offline. The error I get during the configuration loading is communication error 13. I have no idea what that is. Perhaps I can't do configuration loading with Updoc. I have Modsoft Lite  working but I do not think that it works with this controller. It is for MIcro and Compact controllers. I may have modsoft and taylor kicking around but I do not know if they are installable or not. I hope I can find out if my config is improper, I have used the wrong controller setup file (used Micro984), or where iI can have the config loaded for me? I also do not know if this used controller is functioning correctly.

  23. Beginners Servo Help Required.

    I have been programming Omron plc's for a while but have not used any servo drives. I have customer who is free issuing the following equipment for a project he wants programmed.: cj1m cpu21, r88d-gt04h, r88d-gt08h, r88m-g40030h, r88m-g7503h-s2. The small drive is connected to a simple ball screw moving a stop. The second drive is connected through a gear box and chain drive full details not known to date.  I have read the cj1 manuals and will be generally using  pls2 commands for the position movements.  Are the drives plug and play? If I connect the drives leaving the parameters as out of the box defaults should the drives operate using the pls2 command. In this condition I assume it is 10000 pulses per rev of motor. I can scale positions with maths in Plc and send the required pulses. Any guidance appreciated to confirm I am on the write track. I assume I could also use the electronic gearing parameters. Any examples using 5mm ball screw!

  25. Hi... i want to ask about QD75D4, how to change rotation direction in positiont data ? If position data number 1 is CCW and position data number 2 is CW.   I try give value 100 (hope run CCW) and -100 (hope run CW) on posiition length but not respond.   Parameter axis #1 Control system = 2:INC linear axis   Any setting mistakes ?   Thank you
