Hi. I need to troubleshoot a Modicon TSX Momentum 170ISP00100 Weighing Module. This hardware was discontinued by Modicon a few years ago. Does anybody have the configuration/runtime software for this module? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance -
Anyone possibly have software for the Mitsubishi Positioning module AD71 (SW0IX-AD71PE) ? It's a servo positioning module for A Series PLCs that can either be programmed by an old programming terminal or a DOS based program for PC. I think SW1IVD-AD71P could also workReally hoping to find the any compatible software for this controller. Maybe someone has leads?

Hi All, Bit of a noob here. I started a new project where the client is upgrading their SCADA system, and as such every discrete needs to be toggled, and every analog range needs to be tested. I've created an excel database with every register, however, changing the value in the tag is too manual for me and I'm trying to find a way to increase the automation. I am looking for a solution where I can write directly with the tags instead of fumbling through the horror which is Proficy. I've seen some mentions of using the trial version of Ignition but I am struggling to get that to a useable state. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am trying to have single press and double press etc. functionality in my PLC program where for example, single press will turn on the motor whereas double press will turn on the motor for 5 seconds. Is it possible to achieve using ladder logic in sysmac studio, if yes, how? Thank you in advance.

Hi all, I want to ask some questions regarding Ethernet Communication with FX3U PLC series. I have 2 PLCs of FX3U series (FX3U-48M and FX3U-64M) and I want to monitor its data (input and output) using ethernet communication in real time. My questions are: 1. Does FX3U PLC have ethernet port so I can connect it directly to my Laptop/PC? 2. If no, do I need to use FX3U-ENET-ADP and can it be used for 2 PLC or only 1? 3. What software do I need to use to configure the communication between PLC and FX3U-ENET-ADP? 4. Does this configuration change the existing PLC program? 5. Can i transmit the data wireless-ly using some kind of ethernet to wifi adapter and what additional hardware do i need for that?

Hi, I have an old TSX 47 30 that has an I / O fault (red led on) green led on run and plc stopped. I'm writing to see if you can help me to establish communication and achieve the download of the program. I do not have the communication cable or the PL7-3 software under OS 2. So far I have done searches on the schneider page, forums and all the links are lost or deactivated. I have read your answers in plc of the same series and I observe that a converter rs 232 to current loop is needed. In this case here in Venezuela it is difficult to get this converter, however I have observed the black box model 232 CL-E, CL050A and I think it can be useful. I also have an old toshiba laptop with windows xp with a native rs 232 port to avoid another converter and I could make the connection cable DB25-DB9 to the PLC. Now I would miss the procedure to make an OS / 2 bios and get the software or make a virtual machine in which case I require the appropriate software .. thanks for your help -
I am pretty new to the SCADA world. I wanted to know what are the advantages of using a paid proprietary SCADA software such as WinCC, Wonderware, cimplicity over free software such as OpenSCADA, OpenAPI, IndigoSCADA and so on. I have read, there are more layers of security in the paid one. What does that mean? What are the other main differences between the paid and free ones out there in the market?

ControlLogix L71 controller and Citect SCADA 7.10 Communication

Hi All, Hope you all doing well in this pandemic life. I would need your expertise with an issue I have been struggling with for past few days and thought to reach out here. I am working on a migration project with GE PLC and Citect SCADA 7.10. The GE PLC is migrated to ControlLogix L74 Rev24.10 while Citect SCADA is retained. For testing I only have L71 and L82 and could not managed to organise L74. When the code the loaded in L71 and connected to Citect, I cannot see tags in Graphic page but I see the subscription.txt in Debug folder shows all tags good . The same code when loaded in L82, the Citect works instantly. Does anyone know this behaviour of PLC and SCADA? Regards, DeeEngr -

Hello Guys, I am very new to CIP messaging and in our project, we are trying to Controllogix to SCADA server using CIP messaging: What I understand from the process right now is : 1. SCADA Opens a connection for Large forward Open ( Connection size set at 2500 bytes) 2. PLC responds and establishes a connection 3. SCADA send an MSP request to access tags from PLC 4. PLC responds to this request The problem we are facing is the PLC doesn't send out a response of more than 240 bytes, Have any of you guys have faced a similar issue or can help me with troubleshooting? Hi everyone! I have a question to all of you guys - do you ever use any software or online tools to manage your automation/electrical engineering projects? I have worked in a number of companies and have seen various scenarios, from using excel tables to run multi-million dollar projects to using proprietary SW for every little tiny project. Unfortunately I do not have experience working for any major big integrator and am very curious how projects are managed at this level (and if every engineer likes the way it is handled). Additional question - does anyone have ever used a software to automatically generate the PLC code? I know some companies develop products to generate the "skeleton" of PLC program and I think it is a great thing to have.

I have been able to Jog the opposite direction from a Hardware OT with my 1S servos (using Sysmac Studio). I reset the OT Fault and Job the opposite direction. What I am having trouble with now is, I have set Software Limits and I cannot Jog off like I can with the Hardware OT. I have been told I should be able to do that, but it still does not work. The fault returns immediately when I press the appropriate HMI Job button....which is the same HMI buttons and Logic used when I have the Hardware OT. Has anyone ran into this before? It may be a setting I have not done right maybe?? Thanks,

We have been having a re-occurring issue where some of our PLC's throughout our plant have a network outage that occurs around the same time every night. The PLC's are disbursed among the plant and it has been confirmed no large pieces of equipment are being turned on around this time every night... The network traffic does not fluctuate around this time and is not near a "troubling" level. There was a reboot to one of our servers on the same VLAN as the PLC's that are having the connectivity issues... What could have changed from a server reboot to remedy this issue, the server is not communicating to the PLC's, they are just on the same VLAN.

Hi, i am currently looking for a software that can open .gop-projects so i can look in the code and upgrade some panels at my current customers place. This software and GOP2000 are ancient and have not had any reply from ABB for several days about this. The GOPs here is starting to fail and we only got 1 spare that are in service almost 24/7.

I have a client who is duplicating an existing Wonderware SCADA/MELSEC Q Series with a Wonderware 2014 R2 configuration, which they want to maintain that version. The driver they use is the DASMTEthernet, which is no longer available from Wonderware. I'm looking for any lead I can find to get hold of this driver, or a good solution to resolve the communications.

I am trying to program an analogue output on a Siemens S7-1500 unit from a 4-20ma sourced analogue input scaled over 0-250 degrees. The analogue input will have an adjustable setting in the software for when the alarm status should occur and at this point I want the analogue alarm output to start to process at 4ma, at 5 degrees above the initial set point I want the analogue output value to be 20ma I have no idea how to do this so any help from people is greatly appreciated and advice on which analogue output card to use would be helpful.
