  7. Hi all. I would like to get in contact with whoever can help me in my particular problem. I hold an HNC level in robot and plc programming but for different reasons I'm still trying to get on the industry but is being a hard task. It's been a while that I'm trying to get into some companies by agencies and they are always asking for something that I can't provide like two years experience. Basically I'm writing here trying to find someone that can help me in anyway. Currently I live in Shrewsbury and it will be complicated to get relocated but nothing is impossible if things are interesting for both sides. Thanks to all even for read it and just consider the possibility to help me on any way.

  9. Tia Portal Programming Help PLEASE

Hello I am having some difficulty writing code for a specific function using Tia portal and a S7-1200. I 10 Digital inputs and 1 analogue output set for 0-10V. When 1 DI is high I need the AQ to be at 1V, when any 2 DIs are high I need the AQ to be at 2, When any 3 DIs are high I need the AQ to be at 3V and so on.... I just can't work out the best way to do achieve this.   For a bit more info the to what the project entails the digital inputs are all coming back from DOL starters for woodworking equipment at workstations. When one of these starters is turned on a signal is sent back to the PLC DI card, this open a solenoid in extraction pipework and also increases the frequency at a VSD to extract the dust. So when more workstations are in use the higher the frequency of the VSD will be and the faster the motor will run allowing adequate extraction at all stations
  10. TIA Portal multiuser

Hello! I'm very new to the TIA Portal, and i need some answers about Multiuser service. In the near future i need to program some PLC's with TIA Portal with my co worker simultaneously.. He told me that he  doesnt know, how this will work, because he dont know how the multiuser server works (+ needs license maybe?). In Step 7 we can program the PLC simultaneously, i just upload my FC to to PLC, and he works in another FC. He said that this is not the case with TIA Portal, and instead we need to exchange our projects frequently. But is it true? I need some license for this, and do some extra work, to work together with my co.worker? I only want to load my FC's into the PLC and my colleague load in another Fc's,DB's, etc.. Sorry for the beginner question, i never worked with TIA Portal.
  11. LOGO! 8 TIA portal WinCC

Hi all experts, I am LOGO! 8 PLC programmer, and now I am beginning to start SCADA developement. I want to ask which software should I install ?, 1. TIA portal with Siemens SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional & WinCC Professional 15.1 x64 2. WinCC RT Professional 15.1 x64 3. STEP 7 Professional 14.0 4. SINAMICS Startdrive 14.0 5. WinCC RT Advanced v15 Please excuse me if my question is not OK as I am beginning scada developement I know nothing about it and I can get limited software through my college programme. I am confused too because I found that "Up from version 12 of WinCC the driver “LOGO” is available" and also "I think the Logo! communication driver is only available for a WinCC RT advanced , not professional."  in this post : unable-to-connect-tia-15-version-to-logo-8/185145 Please hep me so that I can learn SCADA developement with my LOGO8 Waiting for your fruitful reply, Thanks and Regards

Hello guys. We are trying to replace a S7 200 PLC at our station with S7 1200.  We are reading the program on the S7 200 and recreating the same on the S7 1200. However, we have encountered the SEG  instruction used several times in the S7 200 (microwin) program. And the SEG instruction is not available in TIA Portal (we are using TIA 11) for the S7 1200. We have tried to read the s7 200 system manual but the explanation of the instruction is not sufficient to help recreate it. Could anyone know how we can create our own equivalent of the SEG instruction? If anyone has the SEG instruction already created as a program, it would be very helpful. Thank you.
  13. Hello all, I created a Viewer for WinCC flexible and TIA Portal csv archive. Here a screenshot: you can download this software here: About feedback I would be happy Maybe you have some Ideas?
  14. I am using TIA Portal V14 to program a Siemens Mobile HMI (KTP900 Mobile).I would like to pull up a program 'signature' from the HMI that would allow me to verify that the code in the HMI is the correct version.  This would help prevent an accidental overwrite of old code, resulting in a single Mobile HMI that has differing code from several others that are also in use.The closest comparison would be a Safety Signature from a Safety PLC.  However, I just want to use a file checksum or similar variable that I can put on my screen.Any ideas?  I appreciate it.
  15. TIA Portal HMI Button Not working

I am hoping someone can help me.   I have a siemens system in our facility that was built by a 3rd party.  It arrived in less than stellar fashion, and doesn't work as it should.   After 10 months of being here and not getting any resolve, I am going after it myself to tackle what should be relatively mundane issues to fix.  That said, I have an AB background, and have worked with Automation direct, eaton, and fanuc controllers.  I am new to siemens.   I have made my way around the ladder pretty well, but I am having some issues with the HMI.  Specifically, the vendor programmed in manual controls for our system, but they do not all work.  I checked the HMI tags; they appear to match the plc tags as I expect, but when I press the HMI buttons on the screen, in online mode, I cannot see the tags become energized in the ladder.   The corresponding manual controls subsequently do not work.  The manual controls that do work, I can see the bits energize when I press the HMI buttons.   Is there anything specifically I should be looking at that I am overlooking possibly?  Typically, the HMI is an easy part of a project, but I am a bit dumbfounded by my inability to figure out something so seemingly simple.     Thanks, KK

  17. I can not dowgrade the firmware of a HMI Siemens tp 1200 comfort because it has updated from the portal tia v11 to a version 14. When I try to revert the HMI lock the operating system windows ce. Is there any way to go back to the factory default by doing some jumper on the board or unloading on another port? Because ethernet no longer works to communicate.
  18. Hello   i have a versamax icu200udr064 and i want to connect it with simatic basic panel ktp 1200 dp  both support modbus rut but the problem is that i cant find GE communication driver on the tia portal by whom i program the HMI.  One more thing is that i found a communication driver for modbus rtu but the tags addresses are in the standard form for modbus, so is there any solution for this?  thanks a lot .
  19. need help for TIA V13

Hello Everyone,  Our machine with PLC CPU 1214c, was program last year using TIA V13 professional. Now i need to add some Expansion module for additional sequence, but i only have here a TIA V13 basic. When i tried to search the hardware; yes it can be searched, but it will not upload the existing hardware (CPU+ other modules).  My question is, if the s7-1200 PLc was programmed by TIA v13 professional , does it can only  be edit  by TIA v13 professional? is there any chance that  the basic version can edit the programmed.    Thank you all in advance for your answers...
  20. Tia Portal V14 Real time graph

I current have 2 variable: Displacement vs Pressure. I need to draw a real time graph on Comfort Panel. The problem with using just f(x) trend is that the minimum time between updating a point is 0.5 sec and that is for ever in my application as the whole cycle last only 5 sec and I have to plot 500 points in that time. Is there a way to do real time graph using Historical data without any time delay. If anybody can guide me through any sample program or material would e helpful. Thanks
  21. In general, this control PLC program is written in GX Works. I did a simple visualization on TIA Portal v14 (WinCC RT Advanced) and I would like to now test it on Mitsubishi FX3U driver with ENET Module. I do not have much experience in this kind of thing, I'm still learning. I know that someone previously made a visualization in LabView and downloaded the tags from the PLC using NI OPC Server. Someone also did visualization in iFix and also downloaded tags through server opc. I do not know just how or what program to download tags in PLC so that I can no longer use it in visualization in TIA Portal. Unfortunately I still have a connection problem. The driver is connected to the router. From the connection options with RT Advanced I chose in the connections tab Mitsubishi and entered the appropriate IP. Still nothing. I do not know if the lack of a connection can be related to a virtual machine (VM Vare Workstation 12) on which I have TIA Portal installed. The driver pings but can not connect. I also tried using KEPServer EX to connect and unfortunately also failed. (I have information about the can not connect). Anyone know what program I should use? or had contact with such a problem? I attach a photo of communication from my station to more visualize the problem. Thanks
  22. TIA Portal v13 - GOT1000

Hello! Is there a driver GOT1000 for tia portal v13. I would like to do scada for GOT1000 GT14 using the Tia Portal v13. There is a possibility at all?
  23. Step7 on remote server

Hi, I was wondering if anyone have experience with Tia Portal Step7 v.14 and Step7 Classic v.5.5 located on a remote server? We have several persons working on our PLC's. As it is they all have their own PC with Step7 + licenses. We were thinking about moving the software environment onto a server to reduce license and maintenance costs. Does anyone else have this setup? If yes do you have any tips or comments? Pros/cons? I already know now that you cannot autodetect/configure new devices from a remote server as the Step7 detection protocol doesn't work through a router. We can live with that. We need both TIA Portal and the Step7 Classic on the same server. Thanks
  24. I have a project that run WinCC in a PC that has configuration: Core i5, RAM 4GB, HDD 500GB. WinCC connected to S7-1200. I built a runtime file, and set up Autostart in WinCC RT Start. At the beginning, it took about 1-2 minutes to open the runtime file, but now it takes me about 15 minutes to open it. In this project, I used VBscript to write data to database of Microsoft SQL 2008 in particular event. Can anyone give me some advise?

Thank you for helping my channel
