Hello all, I´ve seen quite a number of similar posts regarding this topic, but none seems to address this problem in particular. I have an FX3G-40M, with a FX3U-ENET module. I could establish a successful connection to the PLC via RS232. My problem arises when trying to configure the ethernet module (which I want to use for remote monitoring of the PLC program). I've followed every step in configuring the connection. But when I attempt to do the WRITE operation (via RS232), I get the following indication: "The module which supported this function is not found. Please execute again after confirming the module". I can ping the module (as it has the factory IP 192.168.1.254), but can´t seem to download the configuration properly. When I plug the Ethernet cable, a green led lits up, and another one starts blinking. I´ve found numerous posts regarding this issue, but all of them had a FX3U-ENET-L module. (And the solution was simply to use another configuration software). The software I'm using: - GX Developer-FX Version 8.91V - FX Configurator-EN Version 1.30 Any hint you can give me of what can be causing this issue, will be very much appreciated. Kind Regards Martin

Hi, I have problem and hope if there is anyone who has same kind of problem, could tip me to the right direction. I have scrolled online for solution, but found nothing to solve this. Im makin heating/cooling control for radiator system. Basically temperature measurement that controls 0-10v valve. Pretty straight forward operation. Im having trouble getting PID control block to work on cpu. When in simulation mode PID works perfectly, but when i download program to FX3u CPU, PID output stays at zero. No matter what values i give to PID, manipulated output is frozen. I attach some images that will show how its running. Tried few different PID's and results are the same. So im thinking there is some trick to the cpu to start executing this block. If you have some tips, i would be gratefull :). https://ibb.co/rpqFtLN

hi All I am completely green in Mitsubishi PLC (i used to program siemens) but need kepware to connect to FX3U pls with ENET adp module. Could somebody pls help me with the very basics as kepware does not talk to the FX3U yet: What software do i need to read configuration/potentially do changes to FX3U and ENET? - is it free? How to check the port that the PLC is using - i assumed 5001 as default but it did not work- it is FX3 setting or ENET module setting? What kepware driver is best for the FX3 with ENET module? - at the moment ethernet driver seemed obvious choice to me Does ENET adp adapter can server only 1 connection at the time - is it hardware limit or something i can configure in the PLC? I will be trying to read strings from FX but how are these strings normally stored in mitsubishi FX3? - i found in the documentation that its either DSL or DSH area - is it something that has to be configured upfront or can i just use either DSL or DSH memory area? Massive thanks for any help upfront Regards

Hello, I've been using Mitsubishi and Omron systems separately (in their own environment), and I am fairly new when it comes to connecting these two brands together(plc and hmi). I've been scouring the net for wiring diagrams for the cable connections and also the parameters to be set for a successful communication between those two components. can anyone point me at the right direction as everything I've tried so far has been a failed attempt of making these two communicate. here are the parts and my current settings if this helps: FX3U-64M FX3U-232-BD NB5Q-TW00B or better yet, is there a proper cable that I need to buy for this to work?

I'm attempting to look at an offline PLC program to see device values (Ts, Ds, Ms). Is this even possible? Are device values saved when saving a program online? Program is for a Mitsubishi FX3U. Using GX Works2 v1.601B. Win10-Pro OS on the computer. I've an AB background (several decades), but only a couple weeks with Mitsu. Unfortunately, the person who originally wrote and maintained these programs isn't available. This is an easy process with AB, but I just hit walls in the Mitsu IDE. Can anybody help?

When i research it said only FX3U-ENET module can be connect to FX3G. But when i say it to seller, he said FX3U-ENET-L is a new update, and it can connect to FX3G @@!. I don't know if what he said is true or not, can you guy give me some advice? The picture below is the documentation related to these 2 modules. Thank you very much and have a nice day. ^^!!

Good day fellow PLC ninjas! I have a question/ concern which I would love your opinions on. We have 3 FX3U PLC’s+ENET cards. Two of the 3 PLC’s move around in an EMS trolley. The other is a ‘base station’ with a GOT2000 connected via Ethernet. Base PLC IP = 192.168.1.11 HMI IP = 192.168.1.31 Carrier 1 IP = 192.168.1.61 Carrier 2 IP = 192.168.1.62 I have programmed the base PLC to use Active communication; we are using fixed buffer communication to send and receive data to/ from the Carriers. The carriers are set up as Fullpassive ‘slaves’. This part works well and the update time changes (using a counter in the base station) from 1s to 100ms (because it enters a different work station). My issue is the following: using a network sniffer (WireShark), I pick up plenty of re-transmits and sequence number errors coming from the base PLC’s ENET card. This is troublesome and causes delays when the update time is required to be fast (100ms). I am sending and receiving 10 words of data. The wifi seems stable, and there is minimal noise in the area. The power has been turned down and the antennas used are suited well for the application. The antennas are at a similar height to minimize possible loss of signal. I have LOS (line-of-sight) to the carriers at all times; to at least one of the antennas (I am using 802.11n). Has anyone picked up issues or found settings which can be used for comms over wifi? I can easily do this using a S7-1200 Siemens PLC and have done so using 12x S7-1200 clients and 2 AP’s with 1 base PLC. I have also successfully done this using 8xFX3U client with a System Q base PLC. My suspicion is that the delay in reading and writing to/ from the BFM in the ENET card is causing this. I am not sure that if I change to a FX5U will help. The communication cards on the Mitsubishi PLC’s seem very limited. Does anyone have any technical details on the access times between the CPU and communications cards’ BFM? Help is as always, appreciated.

Hello, I am new to the programming of logic controllers. I have a Chinese FX3U 24 inputs and outputs with analog in and outputs. I am trying to teach myself the basics of the programming but I am stuck at the analog part. what I am looking to do is create a program so that when a 12v battery bank voltage drops and rises it can trigger other outputs. I have a voltage divider which outputs 1/5 of the input. Thanks for your help in advance. Ben.

Hi I'm trying to set up Modbus RTU communication between FX3U PLC and a weigh module. I would use the ADPRW command using 0X03 to read the 16 bit Holding Register but in the weigh module the Data Address/Holding Register of the value I want to get is 400047 - 400048. How to translate the value in 16 bit? Thanks, Fabio

Hello, We have a FX3G connected to a FX3U-ENET-ADP inside a main cabinet. We are then using that master PLC to collect data from 2 other fx3g plcs in a node:node serial network. I was assigned a small project of pricing out some wireless adapters so we can upload/download to the two slave plcs. My question is, is it possible to upload/download programs to/from the slave plcs through the ENET adapter and serial network in the main plc? It would save us some money if possible. thanks.

FX3U reseting all D register when start up! How can I do to make him memorize?
Rodrigo Balsalobre posted a topic in Mitsubishi
Hello! I was trying to set an value on "d" register to use him like a parameter. We are talking of connections of m0 on the next image: the system works as follows: when pressing a button (M0), it moves the variables typed in the HMI (D14 and D16) to D10 and D12, at the same time that it takes these values and generates the parameter of minimum (D8) and maximum (D60). And its works perfectly, at least while on. When the clp is turned off and on, the variables are reset to zero, even if the only way to change the values is to press the set button again. What can I do to make it keep the information that has been moved? -

Hi all, I have finished installing ethernet adapter module FX3U-ENET-ADP on the FX3U-48M PLC. From the ethernet module, i connected it to a wireless router and then i am planning of connecting to the ethernet module using GXWorks 2 on my laptop through wireless router. On the ethernet module, the error indicator LED is on (red). From the FX3U-ENET-ADP, it means that there might be setting or hardware errors. I am asking if i have missed some steps on the installation process and if any of you have experience with similar problems. Thanks in advance for the answers.

Hi all, I want to ask some questions regarding Ethernet Communication with FX3U PLC series. I have 2 PLCs of FX3U series (FX3U-48M and FX3U-64M) and I want to monitor its data (input and output) using ethernet communication in real time. My questions are: 1. Does FX3U PLC have ethernet port so I can connect it directly to my Laptop/PC? 2. If no, do I need to use FX3U-ENET-ADP and can it be used for 2 PLC or only 1? 3. What software do I need to use to configure the communication between PLC and FX3U-ENET-ADP? 4. Does this configuration change the existing PLC program? 5. Can i transmit the data wireless-ly using some kind of ethernet to wifi adapter and what additional hardware do i need for that?

Designed a SCADA System using VB.NET. Everything working fine but coming to performance getting 2 to 3 seconds delay. Using FX3U32m Plc with ENET Module for Data reading and writing. I am having 200 addresses to read. Using MX Component as communication interface between PLC and SCADA. Is there any alternative or solution for this problem. Using one timer to read all data and update properties based on received data. Thank you..

I'm fairly new to Mitsubishi and I am trying to limit the amount of decimal places of a real value down to 3. I am using a FX3U CPU and the only thing I see in the manual is that real values are stored with approximately 7 significant figures. Is there a way to limit the amount of figures after the decimal point to 3 without converting to an int value? Also does restricting the decimal to 3 points on GT works change to PLC value at all?

Hi, I am looking for some guidance relating to the FX3U-ENET module. Note, I am only a beginner trying to learn about the FX-PLC as I go. My aim is to have various events in the FX3U PLC send an email with some information within the email text body. The programming of the PLC for the event sequence seems to be going well but getting the ENET module to send the message is my problem. I am programming the ENET module parameters using FX-Configurator which appears to take the commands and that seems OK Reading the ENET manual it appears that the email server, DNS server and Proxy Server, need to be within the same local network as the PLC. See the page I have attached that states that the "Access range of the Ethernet module" is within the local network, and that "the Ethernet module does not send and receive emails directly via the internet connection, the mail server sends and receives emails". So taking that information at face value, it appears I need a mail server and a DNS server? My question is that correct and is there any easy option to achieve this? I have had a play around installing hmailserver on my PC as my local mail server and it seems to work. The message starts to send but I get an Error on the ENET module, checking FX-Configurator diagnostics it says i have a C103 error, DNS settings incorrect.• Check the DNS mail address./ Check the content of the DNS setting . So this may refer to the DNS server needing to be on the local network? Setting up a DNS server, let alone a mail server seems to be a whole lot of trouble and not practical for the task of sending email messages. Is there an easier option? Am I reading the manual correct relating to the servers within the local network? Any thoughts? Thanks
