  2. AutoCAD 2008

Hey guys. So, I purchased a used copy of AutoCAD electrical but its all in French. Somehow I stumbled through the installation but I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the language settings or if it was in the install. If anyone has a similar year version and could possibly tell me the menu breakdown to get to the language settings I would very much appreciate it!

I am new with PLC's and I am learning how to work with GX Works 2. I have two questions, 1st Question: Using a Q series PLC (Q03UDVCPU) Is it possible to convert the language of a project from ladder logic to structured text? 2nd Question: If I read a project from a PLC why is it always ladder logic? Is there any way to read out structured text?
  6. CX-Programmer Comment Language Translation

I am currently trying to modify preliminary code that was sent to me for a system I am making. The physical system has been modified so the code will need to follow suit. It is programmed using a CJ1M CPU13 Omron PLC using CX programmer (Old PLC I know). When I downloaded the code from the PLC, I realized that the previous programmer was of a french background so all the comments and symbols in the code is in french. This creates a problem for me because it is more difficult to understand what is going on in the program he/she had written. My question is, is there a way to export only the comments and symbol names as a text file so I can run it through a translator to get a better idea what is being explained on the ladder rungs. I realize it wont be 100% accurate but it would be better than what I have now. Any ideas?I are also trying to figure out a way to use the Omron technology to measure the life of a catalytic converter during operation. We want to characterize the degradation of performance so we know when the catalytic element needs to be swapped out for a new one or cleaned. If anyone knows of such a sensor, I would be pleased to know.

  9. I hope I am posting this in the right location, I did not see any sub forums specific to Rockwell or Factorytalk. We are finally converting from XP to Windows 7! WOO-Hoo! It has gone fairly well but I see one issue that has me concerned and I would like to resolve it now; my application converted fine except my translations did not come across. We have two base applications we build off of that correspond to the type of machine they are used for; both support multiple languages which are selectable with an on screen VBA based button that does a bit and language change in the background. One application supports English and Russian while the other is English and Spanish. I have tried doing the import on Windows 7 in both languages related to the application I am working with and the alternate language (in this case it is Russian) never comes across. I have tried both the direct copy and .apa methods with the conversion and the results are the same. Is there a step I am missing during the conversion process or will I have to export my languages from 6.0 and import them to 8.0 separately after conversion? I am not thrilled about this process as it never seems to keep the proper layout of the text when imported. I assume the issue is the conversion process as I can load the .apa on a fresh XP build and the languages are both present.

  11. Hi all, I have a new problem. I have to translate NT631C application from Dutch to English(or Serbian). I uploaded *.mmi language file with translation utility and start translation but now I want to "merge" new mmi file with onw file(application) to see how new language looks like before downloading it to the touch terminal. Is this possible or I have to download new mmi to touch and then upload whole application again? P.S. Touch is on site 100km from my office.
  12. I am aware that I can use a word lamp, set its display address to $SW10, and then on the HMI terminal screen, the image displayed will change depending on the language chosen. BUT when I change the language switch inside CXDesigner, the image shown in the designer area does not change. This is annoying because it means I have to go into "offline test" to check that my translation images (fancy text shown as a bitmap) are correct. Is it possible to make CXDesigner change the image shown, in the designer area, according to the language switch?
  13. I have found the switch (in the label tab of an objects properties) that allows you to store 2 or more different languages within the label of a button. Now I want another button, within the HMI, to set this switch to a particular language. How do I do this?
