Crossbow, If I used the the Legacy type of Adressing Ex. B3:1/0, then should I used the Micrologix or SLC CPU, not the Compactlogix? Rslogix 5000 cannot do the legacy type of Addressing, if I convert the above ex. this will became; B3[1].0 in Logix flatform. I spend the whole night just to configure this thing but I did not succeed, the only problem is Mitsubishi Supplier in Singapore cannot support their product. they say can but if ask how no answer... if you could help me on this I owe you alot. a step by step procedure, even 1 sample only. a lamp. Hello Guys, I have a project which required controlnet in as SLC504 flatform, I used 1747-SCNR as my Controlnet Scanner then 1794-ACNR15 as my remote adapter, Now the problem, only 1794-IE12 and 1794-IT8 blink Green LED while the rest of the Analog card is steady green (1794-IE8 and 1794-OE4), In the RsNetworx everything appears alright. also in the Scanner the "U" signed is full meaning healthy signal. I was only worried why this 2 Module is blinking. Any Help is very much welcome. Gnex

In Rslogix 500 you cannot used the same real output address in OTE. it should only be used once otherwise their were coflict on their logic, But you can used it many time as long as it used as input data or XIC or XIO.

Did you connet the +24 Supply to your common terminal? if it is OTE for a sourcing output. or -24 for a Sinking output.

I did used it, though I recover the Screens But nothing in the Tags and Parameter File. is their a way to recover both Screen and Tags also the parameter files? Attached is some of my reference file. Yes, It's true that some application does not used Tag Address instead directly used the Tag data base of the PLC, But this is only applicable in RSLogix5000 or CLX Platform, with my application I used PLC 5, And need to have a Tag data base which reside in the PVplus memory. When I open the Parameter files, there were character appear but not usable, like a Korean letter.

The equivalent Raw data for a flex I/O system are the Following: 4mA - 0 20mA - 30840 Put it in Output if you want to use the the address and safe state if you want to Disable. Gnex

Yes you could acquire back up from your exisitng project as 'MER file, just do uploading. But only for filling. you cannot do modification or anything else other than Back up only.

You only need a simple PID loop, Used the Output of your pressure transmitter, Let say scale it 0- 200 Psi is equal to 4-20mA, This is your PV in your PID loop, then scale again your Control Valve (CV) from 0 -100% opening is equal to 4-20mA , then do some fine tuning in P.I.and D, then you have a good close loop control system. your PID is Direct acting. Hello Guys! I have done a lot of programming using 1794-ASB with PLC5 and CLX, But for SLC 500 it's new to me. Now, I have this question, I'm going to add a module 1794-IB16 Discrete input to a 1/2 slot Analog Group (3 Module 1794-IE8). since it was already set to 1/2 slot I just add 1 1794-IB16. When I try to Power up the Whole PLC and try to inject +24Vdc to the Input Card, It work. But the Analog Input is not Moving as if the PLC is Hang. is there anybody has the idea, Also why I see in the Program Adress : M1.3.603. See attached Doc. Thanks Gnex SLC.doc

Hello! I have an on going project conversion from PLC2 to Compactlogix flatform, my problem is; I do not know the range of the Thermocouple, since I cannot open the PLC2 program ( I have no software), I try to search the net for the particular Item and I cannot find any support, I only have thus printed Code at the Thermocouple itself. The machine was built early 80's, I'm afraid that, that item was already phase out. Any Help! Thank you Gnex

I dont need to know other source code, I change the whole thing ( Control side) except that my end user does not want to replace the thermocouples.

No! what I mean is the Program inside the PLC2 CPU I cannot retrive since I have no Software for it. If I only have the software then I could Upload the program and find the Thermocouple Upper and Lower Range and Also the Engineering conversion.
