  2. Bob, You might have already tried the following, but have you tried removing the axis module, control module and connector? Check the connectors for any build up (from the manufacturing process) We experienced an issue with the stability of the encoders .actual position.. End up replacing the axis module and control module to rule it out .. Problem solved.

  5. Did you try re-installing the processors version 19.011 firmware over the top? I had a 1769-L32E with 1769-SDN, on random occasions the SDN would disappear and all the nodes from Linx giving you no other option to edit the network using RSNetworks. The only option was to re-flash the processor with the existing firmware and waalaa!

  7. powering AB Point IO

I'm not sure on your Point IO rack layout but can you use a 1734-FPD instead? According to the selection guide Publication 1734-SG001D-EN-P - September 2010: pg 56 The 1734-FPD breaks the field power distribution at the left of the 1734-FPD from the field power distribution to the right of the 1734-FPD.

  11. MX2 DRIVE USB DRIVER ISSUE

Hello, Such a small job can turn in to a major job in one day... I have the following WIndows XP CX Drive V2.4 configured for European mode (All drives) 2x MX2 drives 1x USB cable I cant communicate to either drive via any of my USB ports.. Once powering up the drives I installed a USB driver .. (Renesas USB1653) ??? ... Uninstalling via Device Manager, Deleting the .sys driver file etc.... Any ideas on how to delete the USB driver for good? Thanks again

  13. Hello out there. Has anyone communicated to a Yamato H series checkweigher via Ethernet IP with an 1756-ENBT? According to the Yamato documenation only TCP/IP is available. As i have other Ethernet/IP devices on my network i would like to simply add the Yamato in the I/O tree as a Generic Ethernet Module and then map the tags via UDT. I know this sounds a little easier than what it is, but hopefully it explains what i am trying to acheive... Cheers

  16. I think you require a custom Motor Catalog Number created to suit the third party motor you have. This would then provide all the relative data about the motor What type of motor is it? You could try emailing your motor details 3rdpartymotorrequest AT ra.rockwell DOT com
  17. Conversion of Comments from Japanese? font

Thanks nguyenthanhcanh for the tip. I also applied Control Panel/Regional and Language Options/Language--> Select Details and added the Japanese Language. Google translator then got a hiding converting Japanese text to English. Cheers

  23. Compact L43 Power up Fault

Its been a few months since my original post. I have replaced the processor as per Rockwell tech supports advise in early march. Installed a CF card However i have had the same major fault occur in July where it just deletes the logix program and sets a Major Fault Type 1 Code 60. The only way to recover is to reset the major fault and reload the logix program that has all the old tag values... I had the same error occur in the workshop and now onsite I have sent the fault dump files and also the fault.bin files that are created on the CF card when this occurs to Tech support, they still waiting on a response from Engineering My next option when onsite next is to use the Task monitor tool to check out the status of each task?? Has anyone had similar issues with L43's? Major_Fault.bmp
  24. I have an intermittent major fault occurring on my L43 processor Major Fault Type 1 Code 60 It is similar to BobLfoot's previous post, however the fault does not occur straight away.. Previous Post I don't have a CF installed All modules have been upgraded to the latest firmware to suit V16 I have sent a Fault Dump Utility file to RA Eng.. Now waiting for a reply.. Has anyone else struck this problem? Major_Fault_Small.bmp
