  1. Hello everyone! Briefly introduction, I would like to communicate and test the following hardwares: 1- Omron CP1E (using an Option Port CP1W-CIF11) ; and 2- Arduino Nano using MAX485 RS485 transceiver. The CP1E will operate in "Modbus-RTU simple master" as illustrated in image 01. The arduino will be in slave mode address 1 and the library used is "SimpleModbus NG" ( ). Taking the sample in official manual ( ) , pages 248-253 in the "CP1E CPU Unit Software User's Manual" (Image 04) describes a sample communication to an "Inverter Slave". I want to use the Arduino Slave as the Inverter Slave just to be sure that all previous steps are correct. Therefore, I would like to know: 1- As illustrated in Image 02, Am I missing any resistors? 2- Should I connect the GND to the FG? 3- In this scenario, the DIP switch setup should be as illustrated in image 03? Only DIP4 is OFF. 4- Can I test it just forcing A641.00 and checking the DM Area Data, as shown in Image 05?   3. FX5U Modbus-TCP Server (Slave)

    Hello everybody. I need a solution for Modbus-TCP server on the PLC. With the FX3U it would work with the FX3U-ENET module. The internal interface of the FX5U should actually be able to work with the library of the FX3U (FX3GModbusTCPServer_GW2_V100) or not? Because a socket connection is now possible.   5. Hi I have some problem about QJ71C24N with Modbus RTU Predefined Protocol. I have setting predefined protocol for QJ71C24N and use 485 wiring to modbus slave but when I start communication it returns CRC error then I use Circuit trace to check communication that result as in attachment that there are some echo back from send command mix with response command from slave device I think with these response cause crc error because there are some echo back in response data I have setting echo back to prohibit but result are same. How can I solve this problem?

  7. HMI and PLC Communication problem

    hi there. .. i am new to plc programming.. Right now i am having problem related to communication between hmi and plc.. i have HMI WEintek 6070ip and plc mitsubishi FX2n.. i have written a program in gx developer . and communicate it with EASY Builder for HMI. so for now plc is communicating with my program written for hmi on pc. but when i downlaod to hmi and connect plc cable to hmi then hmi shows no plc communication. i am having a problem for communication between hmi and plc. any help will be a life saver. thanks in advance

I using easymodbus library to connect and read data from 3 PLCs CP1L but it run unstablely, sometime it disconnect and i cant re-connect PLC, it give error time out when i try to reconnect when it happen, i restart PLC and everything back to work. Someone please help me. I am new with modbus and omron
  9. Hello every one. I have three FX3U plc needed to be communicate over a wireless network. I'm using serial adapter FX3U-485ADP. I got E-byte data trans reciver E-30 for wireless communication. Now need help to setup the whole thing. Previously the PLC's serial connectors were connected through a flexible bus but when the platforms are running fast there is interruption in the  communication. So we want those PLC's to be connected over wifi.  Thanks in Advance

Note: I've used mx Component , it work very well but it is too expensive and I dont even know it can work in windows server 2012/2016 or not.  one more question, Is there otherway to make program run in other computer without install mx compoment, it is very huge to install in every client computer Thank for reading and sorry for my bad english

Please assist me with the following; regarding the ME96SSHA-MB Power meter data transition with Melsec-Q series PLC; We acquire to read various values on dedicated Modbus storage address registers at the simultaneous into a Melsec-Q series PLC via Modbus (TCP or RTU)  for calculation purposes. Naturally, since the reading of these variables are to provide accurate instantaneous results, it is a requirement that these values are to be read at one scan.   However, as can be seen below, there is a gap in address register range – of which, if all of these are scanned simultaneously, yields an exception error when read. This error is only avoided by scanning these data sets separately – which is not ideal for our application – since accuracy in calculations is imperative.

  14. i am using a VSD Altivar71 and controlling it through serial MODBUS communication, the probllem is sometimes after stoping the motor the drives gives the "nst" fault which means according to the programming catalouge "freewheel stop" it doesn't do that all the time but it happens a lot and after uploading the code again to plc the problem is gone for a while before it happens again. i am sure that the fault is happening because if communication because when i controll the drive from hmi it never gives that fault, i checked the setting and tried different cables but it still gives "nst" and motor never moves, i found that in catalouge but i am not sure how to address the problem.

I found in GX Works 3 in Tool/Predifined Protocol Support function the Modbus Menue, but i have no Idea how to Config it, i have no Idea how Modbus works..... Have someone an Example for a Configuration?

    Dear Expert, i'm issue to do communication CP1E with PC via RS232. im try to use plc for sending information and receive by hyperterminal pc. after googling some information there have multiway to success. by the way until now cannot settle. please expert share completed setup that's work: 1. communication cable from PLC - PC (my information use pin (2,3,9 jumper 4&5) - (2,3,5 jumper 7&8) 2. sample program that works (im using TXD & RXD with memory D1000 to keep data) 3. connection cable to PC using MOXA Serial to USB converter. 4. plc serial setting (default: 9600,7,N,1,Host link) my target to give instruction to printer to start print. printer need ACSII code. if this communication success i'm will convert all data to ACSII by ACSII convert function.   thanks,

    Hi, I have R04CPU (iQ-R series) on one side and on the other side is QJ71MT91 (modbus tcp/ip module). Is it possible to make communication between them (QJ71MT91 is master and R04CPU is slave)? iQ-R series doesn't have Modbus TCP/IP module, but is it possible to set modbus tcp/ip on built-in ethernet port of R04CPU, and how?   20. Hi everyone, I just want to layout the structure of the question. I have a GOT2000 (GT27* series) that I have hooked up and communicating with an Allen-Bradley PLC. I have established connection and can pull out certain tags values from the PLC program in RSLogix 5000. While I can read the tag values, I cannot modify them (in certain conditions).  So let say that I have a User-Defined Structure named "Smoke_Detector" and here are it's available members: Smoke_Detector:   - ALARM (BOOL)   - ON_TIME (DINT) * DINT in Allen-Bradley but Signed Binary 32   - Battery_Life (REAL)  My question is that while I can read and display the tag and its members through the following:   - LAMP for Smoke_Detector.ALARM   - Numerical Display for both Smoke_Detector.ON_TIME and Smoke_Detector.Battery_Life But when I tried to modify the values via a Bit Switch or Numerical Input, it does not operate on them.  However, if these tags are members are just standalone tags, meaning that they are not within a UDT in RSLogix 5000, then I can operate/ modify them just fine.  Here are the things that I have tried: * Making sure that the permission are set to Read/ Write in RSLogix 5000 * Making sure that the tag definition in GT Designer 3 follows the structure where @[channel]:[Network #]:[Station #]::[Tag instance and member (e.g Smoke_detector is the instance and Alarm is member] Any possible insight and input are appreciate! 
  21. Hi all !    I need a help about connection between mitsubishi GOT Simple series (gs2110) to kawasaki robot via crossed ethernet cable on tcp/ip protocol. I actually have a fx3g for main unit of my project, and also i have a kawasaki robot for slave unit. My purpose is basically to control both with HMI. I used RS422 between plc and got gs2112 and I want to use a crossed ethernet cable between robot and got but i did not communicate with ethernet even between pc and got. There is a manuel which I found on internet about GOT2000  Connection Manual (Microcomputers, MODBUS/Fieldbus Products, Peripherals) I think i need to work on  microcomputer connection (ethernet) subject, what do you think about that ? I want to ask, maybe ATV320 inverter have same IEC 61800-7 status chart and where need find it. Yesterday I try to find all evening, but don't successful. Somebody could help to me.

I know its not supported any more, interface modules are not available...,    So the basically,   If I want to write customer software (may be embedded) what is the protocol I need to follow? I am connected to CPU unit by the way, there is no other modules except few digital and analog interfaces on PLC. Thank you in advance for your direction, direction in any way would help!

    Hi all, My Task: To control write to registers to my MSI430 safety PLC from Leuze Electronic using a HMI as a master. Protocol: Modbus TCP MSI430 (Modbus TCP - server/slave) Generic HMI (Modbus TCP - client/master) I'm reading Okay from the Register address 401101-40110 But I'm not able to write to the MSI PLC to address 402101-402109 Please see the attached images for gateway description for the device.
