Very sneaky!!! How did you find out how to do that Yair??? Accidentally or fiddling about?
-
Yep!! Thats the baby. Runs on XP tooooooo!!!!!!! Ran it late 2003 to set up 9 ASC02 cards to communicate with GE Multilin SR489 and 750 protection relays. Worked fine.

All the latest PLCs internal/external area is addressed as CIO. Not sure about this one. Worth a try.

PLC GUIDE2 AND UPGRADE CX PROGRAMMER VER 5
BobB replied to rcastellanos0523's topic in CX-Programmer
In Ozz we purchase our upgrades, at a reduced price, from the distributor. -
Have a look at this current thread DDE It may be what you require.
-
I gather from your reply that it is a proprietary PLC and not an Omron PLC. If this is the case then I would suggest you are almost certainly locked in to the manufacturer.
-
Sorry about that. Getting old and forgetful. Normally use a DIFU from a bit or something to shift, or a self resetting timer.
-
From what I have read in the manual so far, I have doubts that host link commands are available in the ZEN.
-
First off, how about joining the community? Which PLC? Which programming software? If the PLC program is password protected, you are probably in trouble. Some Omron PLC's have a lockout feature if too many attempts are made at defeating a password. The PLC is then useless. Some do not.

Firstly I would suggest you use RS232/485 converters for multi drop. The Adam units are very good. I normally use the Adam 4520. www.advantech.com Secondly this link may help you, I do not really know. I do not even use CQM1 any more now that CJ1M is so cheap. RXD/TXD samples This may also help Modbus missing nodes

First off, how about registering and becoming part of the community. I am unaware of a method available. I have been unable to find any information as to how to extract data from the ZEN. Probably the only 2 who may be able to help are Sleepy Wombat and/or Jay Anthony. You may have to wait until they return from assignments.
-
How did you do it? Modbus? Serial? I normally use Controller Link. No problems then.
-
It appears the CPM2A does not have one as I have been unable to find it also. Perhaps you can use the cycle too long flag and set the cycle time detection below the actual cycle time. I am not sure if it will work but is worth a try.

Much prefer the party town - and I am an old so and so - ask Sleepy, he can confirm. Love parties!!!

Here is an even funnier old trick. Came across an old C20. Very limited memory. Had an expansion rack. Memory area is chockers with program. Changes to be done. Compares to be used. Counters use 1 less word than compare function and = > flags. Mission accomplished. Next guy that came along would have been scratching his head for hours.
-
Enjoy your company paid holiday Jay and have a great New Year. Not New Orleans by chance? Great party town.
-
You could use the scan flag into a counter and count to 2 to ensure the bit is off, or on for at least 1 cycle.
-
Which PLC? If it is the CJ1 or CS1 you can select all timers and counters to be binary in PLC properties.
-
In short yes. As the function is not available in the CQM1, you will have to do that yourself and include the length in your transmission.

bvn1961 cx programmer v 5.0, Nov 24 2004, 09:27 AM hello BobB i want so much this software, you may help me? tell me for example a link to download it or upload it to me i need it to work with a sysmac cj1m PLC and with siswin is not possible. excuse my bad english i´m portuguese. waiting your reply please bernardino Received this PM. Bernadino, it is better to place topics on the open board. You will get more answers that way. CX-Programmer is licenced software and is owned by Omron. The latest version is V5, which includes STL and FB programming. CX-Programmer is the best software I have used. Omron have spent a lot of money getting it to where it is today. It is not free. There is nowhere to download it. It is very inexpensive, compared to most brands, and you should go and buy it the same as the rest of us. If you could download it for free development would stop and the software would not get any better. You would finish up with a very basic set of software. From time to time, new versions come out and you can pay an even smaller price to upgrade. Software theft is not condoned on this or any other PLC type website that I visit. Go and buy it. It will be one of the best investments you will make. If you make your living from writing code, quite frankly you cannot afford to use pirated software.

OOOHHHHH!!!! Where did that come from?
