  1. Hello all, I am still fairly new to this forum and PLC's in general. I am trying to connect a EA9 touch panel via Ethernet to an Allen Bradley Micro Logix 1400 PLC. I am using Ethernet over serial because I need the serial connection to program while using the touch panel. I have given the Panel the IP Address 192.168.1.20 with a subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and I have given the PLC the IP address 192.168.1.10 with a subnet mask 255.255.255.0. The panel is not communicating with the PLC and I have very little knowledge on the subject, anyone's help would be greatly appreciated. The picture on the top is from the PLC and the picture on the bottom is from the C-More program for the panel.

  3. Hi, My Powerflex 525 Drive is currently working in the Project. I wanted to observe the drive parameters when the drive is running and live with PLC. I usually do that by getting online with the PLC (1756L72S) from RSLogix5000 and then by going in to the Drive Properties from the I/O Configuration folder i use to click on Drive tab and from there i was able to observe all the Drive parameters with the real-time values on which drive is running. Now when i try to observe the Same real time parameters on my other PF525 drive, i follow the same procedure as mentioned above till going into the Drive properties and when i try to click on drive tab its gives me a Screen with a message "AUTOMATIC CONNECTION FAILED". The status of drive in the drive properties still shows me that the drive is running. How can i observe the Real-time Parameters for this other PF525 Drive? Thanks.

  7. Hello,I am trying to use ProWORX NXT to view the logic of my Modicon Quantum 534 controller online. When I try to go online with it, it always times out. I am using a TCP/IP connection and my PC is in the same subnet as the controller in question. I can ping the controller's IP address just fine and when I use ProWORX NXT's Net Scan function, it recognizes that there is an Ethernet connection at that IP address but doesn't recognize it as a Modicon controller.Weirdly enough, my PC can connect to another Modicon controller of the same type and in the same subnet just fine.Can anyone help me with this issue?

  9. Long ago i remember finding a way to change the online step number limit, which is defaulted to 500.  But it was probably 15 years ago, and i have forgotten how i did it.   Has anyone else found a way to change this?
  10. Hello I tried to go online with MicroLogix 1200 through "1761-CBL-PM02 Series C" serial cable. I read its manual and it says i can use the cable to go online. I got these errors and i attached them. Can someone tell me why i am getting this error? Thanks for reading and have a good day !

  12. I'm new arround here so first of all greetings to all and apologies for my English. I tell you the case: I have a machine that has an Allen Bradley PLC 1756-L1 (yes, it's already a bit old) communicating with another plc, a B&R 2003, through the serial port. I wanted to download the program from AB. I open RS-Linx, I create a DF-1 driver and then click on autoconfigure. At this point I get an error saying RS-Linx can't find the communication parameters. I tried to connect with two other cpus 1756-L1 that I have (these are new so they don't have program) and the RS-Linx locates them perfectly. I guess the ab cpu has its serial port configured as USER to communicate with the B&R plc (or something similar), so my question is if there is a way to connect to this cpu through the serial port (such as putting the serial port in default mode without deleting the program) or the only option left is to find an ethernet card to connect to the cpu. Thank you very much for any answer because I've searched a lot and I don't find any information about this.
  13. Hi everyone, my client has a Direct Communication network consisting of Allen bradley 1772-SD2 (PLC2) and 1771-DCM modules. I need to upgrade one of the adapter node from 1771-DCM to newer hardware. My client is insists to KEEP the 1772-SD2 scanner as it is. So essentially I need a recent hardware to replace 1771-DCM and work with 1772-SD2. Do I have any option to upgrading this node with recent generation solutions?
