ControlLogix with Mitsubishi Drive
Bob O replied to Bob O's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Yeah this isn't a complicated project it's just me being green to DeviceNet and that I don't actually get the DNet to add the new drive to the scan list and set the I/O until Thursday afternoon when this has to be running Friday morning for the dog and pony show. Thanks again for helping -

How to write verticaly in FT View 5.1
Bob O replied to smess.cle's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I don't think you can rotate text in FT even using animation but again I could be wrong. I think the only way to get the text to be the way you want is to import as an image or an object that you created in word or paint. Hope this helps. -
I think you meant OTU at the end of file 2 and I would think the math overflow is a programing issue and not a field device but I have been wrong before.

CompactLogix Firmware support
Bob O replied to gromit's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
You should install at least V17 and all version in between just in case you run into this again. Also, you need to install them in order and they are up to V19 now. Hope this helps. -

Trend value could not display in value legend by Historian mode
Bob O replied to Fan Liu's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
If I understand you... Do you have a datalog set up for the tags in the trend and are the pens pointed to this datalog? Is the datalog running? Is the data base on the same computer and if not, are both computers set for the same time? Screen shots would help me at least. Hope this helps -

I want to set-up my own computer lab for my own training in networking and software install since we/I seen to be getting more involved in it. Has anyone purchase used computers and if so could you recommend a company? I would like to have a total of three computers if possible. Thanks
-
Well my lab is coming along really well. I am up to four computer all networked together and things are working well. Pick-up a new 1.5 TB HD for my main one and am now getting all my software loaded on to it. Also, I picked up my 3 Dell computers on Craigs List that had been reloaded with XP Pro still with the stickers for $50 each and $10 for a flat screen. Can anyone recommend a free easy to use virtual floppy drive? I found one and am using it but would be interested in what others point me to. Thanks,

The upper right-hand corner is the search box with a gear looking icon. Click on that and I think that is what you are looking for..assuming you have that search box and the little gear looking icon. Hope this helps

Thanks to all that have replied. My goal is three computers with two acting as servers and exchanging data and one client with access to both with access to all through a KVM. I normally work wit RA products so that is my target software to test with since I have a problem breaking the install and it seems that I have to be an IT person to complete some installs. I am not knocking the RA software just looking to improve knowledge. I would at sometime like to work with the open source and VM software but right now customers aren't using it in production for the most part. Russ – I am an odd person in that I don't use ebay but your post did make me think of looking on CL for local used computers. Thanks again and sorry it took so long to reply.
