The problem I have found when using cf cards is that you have to use the schneider cf card. Sure the cheap home pc cards work but not always. For instance when you want to retrieve data that was logged. Sometimes its there sometimes it isnt. Same with downloading to the card. Doesnt work everytime. After changing from the pc store cf cards to the schneider specified cards all my headaches were gone. Another thing. With version 5 of vijeo designer you can use any usb memory stick as a data logger. And I'm not 100% sure but think to store the program aswell. You can maybe try first using a usb stick before buying the schneider cf card By the way you have specified the data logging to hold 100 records, but you have told it to log more than 100 variables. You should increase that value, or create 3 or 4 logging groups which holds each 100 variables -
So will you retract the statement that advantys is unreliable?? Glad you got the issue resovled. I have found in 99% of cases I have issues on networks being canopen ethernet , modbus or whatever, is there is something wrong with the cabling or the installation was done incorrectly. Very, very rarely is it equiptment failure especially in the beginning -
I dont have much advice as everything looks ok on ur setup side and you are able to connect to the device. I would just go through this manual and make sure you are doing everything as is said in this manual. http://www.global-download.schneider-electric.com/85257563005C5E62/All/C125713F005265E2C12573B6004781D6/$File/35016143_k01_000_01.pdf -
I had a look around and it would seem that its not possible. But seeing that normally a operator would have to acknowledge an alarm and even if he doesnt you can setup different banners for the different alarm groups, and specify those alarm groups how to react if acknowledged or not -
I upload screenshots so its jpeg or bmp files. I think when you upload picture type files and its small enough it loads it automatically in the screen Dont do anything special -
nip manual http://www.global-download.schneider-elect...03688k01000.pdf stb installation manual http://www.global-download.schneider-elect...02947k01000.pdf good manuals to have, shows lots of do's and dont's Calle it would seem in your setup the cat5 cable length is definitely a problem -
This should help you. Like i said you have to wire a supply in. -
I only did this once and a long time ago. If my memory serves me correctly the dio port doesnt have a source. you have to wire a supply into it. I think its a transistor out. we also struggled with it thinking it was a relay out. Let me know if you dont come right i will look for a wiring diagram -
That thing would look like a wheel of cheddar after i'm done drilling all the holes for trunking and din rails etc -
go to this site http://www.download.schneider-electric.com...&p=606& -
Yes this is a problem when using ethernet as coms with plc. The only thing I would suggest is when using a Premium use your xip driver. Just as fast and you can monitor the hardware configs online. When using m340 use normal usb cable. A technician explained the problem to me some time ago, but for some reason cannot remember the details. Getting v4.1 soon and will check if this has maybe been corrected -
Is this not maybe an operating system issue. What operating system are you using? If newer than xp you must have the latest drivers that will run under vista -
manuals are magical things Hope this helps -
what os are you using on your computer? -
If you are talking about their Zelio smart Relay or Twido plc then the software is free. PL7 software is used for the modicon micro and premium plcs, and the latest is Unity sotware which is used for the m340 (micro replacement) and premium and quantum plcs -
Its the same cable you use to program micro, premium plc's and the cable has a convertor on, so I think your better of just buying one -
http://download.telemecanique.com/Reposito...amp;c=group8~EN I see there is a student guide of about 41mb. -
Yes please elaborate on the adressing issues, as I havent really found any problems. Unity is for Quantum,Premium and M340. Bit off topic but I find the canopen setup in Unity awesome. In pl7 it was needed to use a seperate software package to setup the comms -
A price i would pay anyday for unity. Find it a very good software -
They might be expensive but they are for special applications. Just have a look at the functionallity of the atv71. I think its an awesome drive -
What about connecting the micro to a tsxetz410 and going modbus from there? Go to telemecanique.com to check the modules specs. I think that might work and be cheaper than an atv71. On the other hand you can persuade the customer to switch out all the old drives to atv71's.I Love those drives and you'll make some bucks -
What version cpu is it?? Because I can definitely set channel 0 (ter) to modbus. I think you have a v3.0 or older cpu. any version higher that 3 you can set to modbus. Talk about bad luck I c the stormers are winning -
Just pondering here, but cant you connect that one drive straight to the front port via modbus using this cable :TWD XCA RJ030 Not really sure but I think it is possible. I attached a pdf and that to me shows that it is possible. Just send the commands and retrieve the data from that drive with modbus and send data then via unitelway. I pressume all the other drives are also very old. If so you might need to tell the customer that it might be advisable to switch the drives over to modbus or canopen Hope this helps. Go die sharks!!!! atv31_modbus.pdf -
What about writing to a pc or printer dircetly using serial comms and the "print" command. In unity help just type in print and you will get files with some instruction sets. Doing it this way is a bitch but the only way you are going to getting the values of the variables out automatically. If you work on site I would just suggest you create animation tables of the variables and just press print screen while you are online. Seems stupid but hey it a solution
