  2. The problem I have found when using cf cards is that you have to use the schneider cf card. Sure the cheap home pc cards work but not always. For instance when you want to retrieve data that was logged. Sometimes its there sometimes it isnt. Same with downloading to the card. Doesnt work everytime. After changing from the pc store cf cards to the schneider specified cards all my headaches were gone. Another thing. With version 5 of vijeo designer you can use any usb memory stick as a data logger. And I'm not 100% sure but think to store the program aswell. You can maybe try first using a usb stick before buying the schneider cf card By the way you have specified the data logging to hold 100 records, but you have told it to log more than 100 variables. You should increase that value, or create 3 or 4 logging groups which holds each 100 variables

  3. I dont have much advice as everything looks ok on ur setup side and you are able to connect to the device. I would just go through this manual and make sure you are doing everything as is said in this manual. http://www.global-download.schneider-electric.com/85257563005C5E62/All/C125713F005265E2C12573B6004781D6/$File/35016143_k01_000_01.pdf

  4. Yes this is a problem when using ethernet as coms with plc. The only thing I would suggest is when using a Premium use your xip driver. Just as fast and you can monitor the hardware configs online. When using m340 use normal usb cable. A technician explained the problem to me some time ago, but for some reason cannot remember the details. Getting v4.1 soon and will check if this has maybe been corrected

  5. Just pondering here, but cant you connect that one drive straight to the front port via modbus using this cable :TWD XCA RJ030 Not really sure but I think it is possible. I attached a pdf and that to me shows that it is possible. Just send the commands and retrieve the data from that drive with modbus and send data then via unitelway. I pressume all the other drives are also very old. If so you might need to tell the customer that it might be advisable to switch the drives over to modbus or canopen Hope this helps. 6. What about writing to a pc or printer dircetly using serial comms and the "print" command. In unity help just type in print and you will get files with some instruction sets. Doing it this way is a bitch but the only way you are going to getting the values of the variables out automatically. If you work on site I would just suggest you create animation tables of the variables and just press print screen while you are online. Seems stupid but hey it a solution
