Hi, yes it is possible, button, lamps, assigned to PLC tags. If you are using NQ-designer V1.3 as I am you can see this. regards, MPM

Hi vanyo, you can do this by adding two global tasks . 1 that copies the PLC popupscreen Value to S0023 ( eg 65005) and the 2nd one should be copying the s0020 bit . This should be set in the PLC as a momentary button ( 1 sec high). else the user can not close the screen anymore. Another option: How about a wordlamp left to right over the screen? It can be hidden if the value of the register is not in range. You can add 16 messages per wordlamp ( each alarm bit , value 1,2,4,8,etc) 20 characters per message , even overlap of more than 1 button possible. regards, MPM

RTU Modbus With CJ2M PLC and 3G3RX Drives on RS485
MPM replied to Industrial Projects's topic in Omron
Does the cj2m not support easymodbus master as cp1 series does? -
Hi still use the correct cable. The pin 5to 9 is very important. Seen it going bad a lot of times using the straight serial.cable. Else download ntxs sw. The installable sw contains a manual that gives you the correct sw and manual.

Hi Pressing F1 and F6 during power up will reset the whole terminal. You said you did a FW update with old N2ST SW (obsolete and not supported since 2005. NTXS is the SW to use official by OMRON) if everything is OK the wrong FW could not be downloaded as the FW is checked by the string of the model. Since 2005 there is no need to upgrade the Firmware of the models. Are you using the proper programming cable (NT2S-CN002) This is needed. regards, MPM

DSUB 9 connector on CPM2A to NS8 should be XW2Z-200T or 500T. regards, MPM

Hi Alan, Which version of NQ designer are you using? V1.3 is very stable as per my experience. If you empty the terminal, firmware and application. the terminal is as new again. If you download an empty application and the firmware, after that power down / up. while powering up press low left corner. You will get in a menu where you can test each function of NQ. Can do a self diagnosis of the terminal. Your apps ran here on my NQ3 perfectly after I correctly the hour register to the correct addresses. If I can do more just let me know. regards, MPM

HI Alan, I think I found it. HR for starting time is DM0003 and NOT DM6003 as is expected. Still as per my message flashing screen due to the screen task , update historical trend, Would advise this to do per button on screen or add a delay in screen task. also increase of baudrate from 9600 to 115k2 good luck with your apps. regards, MPM

Hi Alan, Received your programm. Very nice application. Furhter definition of Trend looks good. One thing I would not do is the update historical trend in the while showing task. This would every cycle in the NQ update the screen. I would suggest to add a delay which updates the screen ever so many seconds(second task in the while showing field. Or add an update screen button on page 16. Tomorrow I will have my hands on a NQ3 and can do some tests. regards, MPM

Hi Alan, I just found out that V1.3 is released with some more important bug fixes. For historical trend, can you send me the nqp file for your program, I can have a look. regards, MPM

you have added the logged tags to the datalogger. the rtc of the NQ has valid times and the data you want to have displayed (passed times) are available in the datalogger. Do you use the update historical trend bit? Are the values of the data logged within the specified ranges of the datalogger. I presume you are using the latest NQ designer V1.2 and have downloaded application AND firmware ( basic functionality and drivers) with V1.2. Firmware sghould always be downloaded when changing anything in the datalogger. regards, MPM
-
Hi, For historical trend you need to define in the settings 12 registers which hold the start and stop time of the view. the date/time need to be valid AND in the past. checked the help file on historical trend in NQ designer V1.2?? regards, MPM
-
HI Pawel, When you have the datalogger configured you could use historical trend graph to monitor the data you would like in the datalogger. regards, MPM

I do not understand this. the SCU31 as you described has no RS232. how can you run it then? regards,

Hi Eirik, please ignore the loop from 4 to 5 , my mistake. The cable is correctly created as 4 wire. scu magelis R+ ---- S+ R- ---- S-- S+ ---- R+ S- ---- R- no termination indeed for the short cable. C mode usually is referred to as hostlink. The PLC has nodenumber 0 I can see. If the magelis is correctly implemented the hostlink protocol then there should be no issue. If you can not get it to work you can always use the OMRON NQ5 which is a comparable HMI. regards,

have you looped 4 and 5 in scu connector. have you selected plc as unit number 1. termination in scu is 220 ohm, make sure if you use this the termination in magellis is also 220 ohm. regards

why not use the usb2.0 device cable. omron cp1wcn221 in europe official programming cable is xw2z-s002 (nl) regards

Hi This is not possible. the RTC from the NQ can be send to the PLC only. regards,

S registers can NOT be created on PLC node. Only on internal system registers. Indeed I have also seen a bug when creating the internal systemregister tags. For alarms I assume you have specified PLC bits and not for internal registers. regards, MPM

Which cable are you using between CJ1 and NT631? regards, MPM

Maybe OMRON XS2G-D4** these connectors are for custom cables. regards, MPM

Hi PdL, So you have placed the folder NQ3TQ000 with the contents (3 files) diretly in the root of the usb stick.. this means NOT to place the three files directly in the root. so : folder NQ3TQ000 - app - abs - font NQ and NP are two different products from 2 different developments and there is no relation at all between both. A check if the app file is correct is by opening it directly in nq designer. regards, MPM

which version of NTST have you installed? regards, MPM
