Posted 4 Apr 2017 For some reason the latest will not install on my main computer. I have turned off the ineternet condom and it will still not install. Any thoughts? Have tried straight install and download and install and file Smc1704_0101 appears to be the problem - the o0ther files install OK.
Posted 5 Apr 2017 I had a problem with the previous update. It appeared to be my antivirus not allowing the .net hotfix to install. rebooting with a clean boot then running the update program worked.
Posted 5 Apr 2017 Tried that - also turned protection and firewall off to no avail. Will try on the laptop and see what happens. I use ESET as my preferred protection solution.

Posted 5 Apr 2017 (edited) I have tried several ways - single file - install - have always turned the firewall and protection off to no avail. Here is the message I get - may have something on the computer that is interrupting the installation? The only new program I have is Registry Mechanic - anyone having trouble with this at all? CX-One update installed without any issues at all. Edited 5 Apr 2017 by BobB
Posted 6 Apr 2017 Hi Bob, That is exactly what happened with my system with version 1.17 update By a clean boot this is what I mean. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
Posted 6 Apr 2017 Tried that - no joy. Installed on the laptop without issue - have to use the laptop I guess with an extra monitor attached. Thanks for your help. Time for a new computer me thinks - sound card has stopped working as well - looks like there may be an issue.
Posted 7 Apr 2017 Had no issues on the machines I do here. You did update the common components first right? That's the one whose name begins with CMN.
Posted 7 Apr 2017 Yep - CX-One updated first and updated the common components. CX-One is working fine. I have since had some issues with Solitaire, Calculator and the like not opening - have ordered a new computer. Just doing a final backup now and image with Acronis True Image in case.
