Posted 25 Feb 2013 Hello, I need to convert the Allen Bradley Retentive Timer (RTO) to Siemens retentive On Delay Timer. What I want to do is start timing a timer and if for some reasons the input to the timer goes off it will stop timing and when the input goes on again the timer continues timing from the time it was stopped. I dont see any related instruction function in S7 software. Your suggesstions are appreciated. Thank you.
Posted 25 Feb 2013 I used an RTO function block one on a project a year or so ago. I think I must have downloaded it from the Siemens website as a programming sample. I remember it had to run in the main routine so that it was scanned at regular intervals.
