I have a problem when trying to download a program from a FX1S-30MT PLC. I am using a SC-09 USB cable. The software i am using is GX Developer 8. When trying to download the MAIN program the screen in the attachment appears. I tested the download from another PLC of same model and have no problems, therefore the cable is ok, and the laptop is ok. When downloading of the parameters and comments does not give error, just when trying to download MAIN. Also I tested connection with Test Connection button and says communication is ok. Anyone who can help? I have a doubt, how can i see the communication parameters on the PLC side? Thanks a lot

Hi, I am working on the following setup: External server connecting to PLC system via QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module and using MC protocolConnection via LAN cable (straight-though) between external server and QJ71E71-100 Ethernet moduleGoal is to pull data from PLC system via the use of MC protocol + 4E frame + ASCII data code + batch read Word units (via 0401 command, which is part of MC protocol)External server will act as TCP client, while QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module should act as TCP serverThe external server is using custom software (programmed in Python) to query/process response. At this moment I can 1) "ping" the QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module successfully, 2) connect to it via TCP socket and 3) send data via TCP socket. All is working well so far BUT I am not getting any data back from QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module. My setting are as follows: IP address of external server = 192.168.1.203 (it binds the socket to port 1500 of this external server when initiating communication). The external server will always initiate communication to query data whenever needed, FYI. IP address of QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module = 192.168.1.254, and it connects to port = 1500The Ethernet diagnostic tool indicates that my TCP packets are being received ("Total Number of Receives" increase every time data is sent), and that TCP response packets are being sent (increases in tandem with "Total Number of Receives" (apologies for poor picture quality): Would someone in the forum have experienced a similar issue (meaning that you could connect + send data from external server, but no data was getting sent back from QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module to external server? Are there some obvious mistakes in the configurations to the experienced eyes in this forum? For your information I am not using any gateway for the connection: it's a straight-through LAN cable from the external server directly into the QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module. Would such a setup work out of the box, or do I need to configure "Router Relay" or "Station No <-> IP information" within GX developer? Lastly I have not configured FTP, email or Interrupt settings, FYI. Thank you for your help, feel lost with this TCP connection issue. Regards to all forum readers! I'm using AuthSmtp as my mail provider and I need to be able to specify the port number. I can't find a place in the rslogix 500 channel setup to put the port id. Currently I'm giving just giving it the host name 'authsmtp.com. I did try the ip address with the port number xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx but that didn't work either. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I'm trying to use CX-Server to pull data from my Omron CJ2H PLC directly into Excel. I'm able to pull a single element into excel, but when I try to pull more than one element, I get a huge strand of numbers. Is there a way that I can set up a single point in DDE Manager that'll hold all the elements that I need, then in excel have a formula that will pull out specific memory elements. Specifically I'm trying to pull data from D7200-D7399, and put each element into a separate cell it in a chart that ranges from B3-K22 This is what the formula looks like when I copy a point into excel =CDMDDE|'C:\Users\... ....cdm'!'\New Point 1' I didnt know if I could put something at the end of each string to call out specific elements, but I keep getting "#BadPoint" =CDMDDE|'C:\Users\... ....cdm'!'\New Point 1'!'D7200' =CDMDDE|'C:\Users\... ....cdm'!'\New Point 1'!'D7201' ... =CDMDDE|'C:\Users\... ....cdm'!'\New Point 1'!'D7399' Any help would be great

Hello: I'm not sure how to go about creating the structure of this program, would like some ideas/help. I have a program that checks/reads 8 analog inputs and compares each input against 4 different settings, if the value is outside any of these settings the program runs a subroutine to send out an email for (Alarm/Event) notification for that particular input. The way the program is structured now is that it reads analog input 0 first and checks against the settings if the reading is not in range it will call a subroutine to send out email for that sensor(analog AI:0.0) then it will return and read for Analog input #1 and check reading and if it needs to it will call another subroutine to send out email for that sensor(analog AI:0.1) and so forth. What I need to add, is a way to count how many times a sensor(input) has sent the alarm email because I want to limit this to 5 notifications after that, stop sending emails. Now this has to be done for each sensor(input).(Note: I would also like to have a timer involved so that it will only send emails about every 15 minutes for 5 counts.) I need this because the plc will send out emails until the error for the sensor has been corrected, this could take a few hours and if I don't have some sort of control, that would result in 1000's of emails being sent and world probably get shut down for spamming. Would like some ideas on how I should go about this. I am using a micrologix 1100 and rslogix 500 software. Thanks

hello guys, i got a little bit problem with my cx-supervisor 3.2. when i clicked the cx-supervisor development project, the message showed that cx-server detected a problem during initialitation. But it could enter the program with the new message again that access to the cx-server project has been denied and finally it surely could not runtime. After that i tried to fix it with uninstall and re-install but the result was the same. Please i need help to solve this problem. i have fixed it as much as i can it didnt work. I am writing a new program for a MicroLogix 1500 LRP Series C. When I verify the project I get the following errors: Program error ERROR: Attempted to set more IO data than has been allocated Program error ERROR: Incorrect Output Force File Size The IO Configuration should be correct because I had the software "Read IO Config". I don't see any unverified rungs. My software is RSLogix 500 Version 9.00.00 (CPR 9) Does anyone have a solution?

Hi, I have suddenly got connection problems to my CJ2H-64EIP. PC is Win7 64bit pro. This combination has worked fine for 4 years, but now I can't connect by any means, tried direct online USB (Will sometimes connect, but CX-P crashes if PLC-program is uploaded - C++ runtime), Ethernet IP Node online, new project with Ethernet IP or USB. Communication to CX-Supervisor is also broken, so I suspect some kind of CX-Server problem. (Error "Invalid configuration: Marvin [CX-Server: MANAGER, INVALID_CONFIG, 0x822]). The PLC can be PINGed from this PC, and when I try to connect from another PC, everything is OK. I can also connect to a CS1G-43H with an ETN21 with no problems. Also tried to update CX-One to v 4.32. (CX-P v9.52) (first running the latest CX-Remover). The CXServer Driver management tool reports device driver v5.2 with my PLC listed. I have also tried to roll back some Windows updates, but the oldest restore point I could find did not help. Finally, when I try to load a program for this PLC from the disk, CX-Programmer crashes, same as above when uploading. Any ideas? Geir

Hi All, I am not able to download control strategy on DesignerSim. It throws error - " Could not initialize comm to DesignerSim. Err = OPC Server Disconnected". Initially I was able to download strategy on DesignerSim. However, I started observing this error after I installed Wonderware software on the same system. So my system has GE WorkBench 8.4.0 and Wonderware 2014 installed on it. As per GE user guide, GE workbench is compatible with wonderware software. So, I am not sure what's going wrong with the set up which I have. I also tried to install these software on other system, and observed same issue. Does anyone know what could be potential reason for this error ? and How can I resolve it ? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys: I am currently having a project to connect the PLC with MATLAB for online application. Is there anyone ever use CX-server OPC to create the cdm project file? Any idea about how to configure or set the point for certain device like omron plc model: CP1E-NA type? I have create the file and edit the point according to the data memory area info, However, the plc can only connected for a short while and gone, showing connection failed message. Any idea what is going wrong? Your attention and help is appreciated. Best regards
