  1. Hi ! Thanks for drawings. I wrote -24VDC and + 24VDC , but in real it was 0VDC and +24VDC ( I don't have 48VDC in my gabinet). I did wiring as you drew at the first two pictures, without LEDs - I checked onle voltage at the 1A+ and 1A- using voltmeter I will add the LED as you drew. I will change jumper to LD mode and I'll use external 5VDC supply to power 1A+ and 0vdc to 1A-. I will see if it counts. Thanks anyway Pawel

  2. I set upper counting limit to 2000 and current count value to 500. I set it from IO table for CTL-41 and I checked that it came to the systems - in my configuration I got 500 in CIO 2029. Now I am trying wiring -24VDC to 1V- and just wire with +24vdc which I connect to 1V+ for a moments. Nothing - No LED CH1 lights on. HMM.....

  3. Hi ! I made as you wrote - I wired external +5VDC supply to V+ and V-. As I remember when I tried before I connected +24VDC to these terminals - so - there is a way that RS422 is already burn out - data sheet for that block is completly useless and not clear how to wire it for 24VDC sensor. Anyway do you have this block and some PNP sensor to check this wiring out? I want to be sure that it can work - right now I am not sure. thanks Pawel

  4. Hi ! I connected sensor like you wrote but I am not sure with this +5VDC Just look at XW2G spec below If you use LD driver you have to put +5VDC to V+, but when I use 24VDC sensor I think I should wire +24VDC to these connectors. V+ is internally connected to 1V+ - supply for my sensor. I do not have any power supply +5VDC - to working XW2G I need to install power supply +5VDC just for it? Any other idea?

  5. I read CTL manual carrefully and the led CH1 should light when the gate is open and at least one impuls came. It does not light and I checked the gate for channel 1 is opened. I use XW2G-40G7-E block to connect proximity switch to CTL. I tried a few possibilities but no success. What is your idea? - how I should wire 3 wire PNP sensor - 24VDC thanks Pawel Thanks Pawel

  6. Hi ! I am trying to count pulses from proximity switch, but no success. I have proximity switch, which gives 24VDC pulses. I use XW2G-40G7-E block and I connected signal from sensor to 1A+ (channel 1) and -24VDC I put on 1A- (channel 1) rotary switch on CTL41 I set to 1 so my CIO is 2010. Only RUN Led lights. When I set up CIO2011.00 to 1 (open gate ) I see its opened CIO2031.02 but Id does not count hmm. I can preset value, but it does not count, I do not have errors also Important vales in my CIO for channel 1 Where I make a mistake - maybe I should wire switch in different way? Thanks Pawel

  7. In fact maybe I do not need Device Net. The Data station Plus looks interesting. I need collect data from S7 and Omron to visualize processes (SCADA) - I can get it using just OPC server, but I also need exchanging data between PLCs directly Do you know if using Data station Plus I can arrange it? Thanks Pawel

  8. Hi ! I have some old system controlled by S7-300. Some new hardware and SCADA will be added. I need to collect some data from S7-300. Is there any way to get some unit for S7-300 with Devicenet or I have to install profibus unit to CJ1M and S7-300 and establish connection via Profibus. Any experience? Pawel

  9. Hmm ! Noone knows what comunnication current consumption is for GRT1-DRT and Smartslice modules? I have some Exel file to count power and current consumption. For upper example I have: I have 0,05 A current consumption for Smartslice Modules - does it mean comunnication current consumption for that node? thanks Pawel

  10. Hi ! I have some mobile carriage which is powered. It will be automated. Does Omron has some modules for f.e Cj1M which can communicate using some wireless connection. I need Digital Inputs and Outputs and maybe some anlaog signals. Can I arrange it? - any experience - interference, slow response.... thanks Pawel

  11. Hi ! Yes this is real network topology. I am not sure what you mean "upload" each component separately - if you mean "upload" option as below at the picture - I did it for each devicnet component being online (upload was active). Nothing helped. The message: "Warning - Comms Error ocurred during mode code read..." shows every time when I am getting online. At least it is just warning and nothing wrong happens. I am just curious what is the reason of that. Thanks Pawel

  12. Hi ! I have signal from proximity sensor which comes every 10ms and it lasts about 3ms. I expect that CJ1W-ID231 will not be able to count such a fast signal. I have CJ1W-CTL41-E, but I have no idea how I should wire it just to sensor not encoder. thanks Pawel

  13. Hello ! A week ago the cable worked. Today I tried establish connection with different PLCs from differrent computers and still the same - no connection. When I start connecting COMM LED light On for a moment and that's it. When I plug in the cable to the PLC COMM LED is OFF. I used Comlite software to check if I send some strings through RS232 and I see I am sending but I do not receive any data. When I move plug in socket from the PLC Side I can find one place where the Comm Led light ON all the time, but it isn't flashing as before nad also I cannot establish connection. I deinstalled cover of CQM1-CIF02 and I checked the wires (I used Ohmometer) between plugs and Converter from both side and they seems to be All right. Can I check something more? Who Can repair it in Europe? Thanks Pawel

  14. Hi ! It is my first aplication using devicenet. My network will have more slaves. Now I want to start communication with just one V1000 with DeviceNet option card. I connected directly PLC with V1000 using Devicenet cable. Will I establish connection? - I do not have any external supply to the devicenet cable & I do not have any resistor at the end? I prepared devicenet network with my devices: When I try to download parameters to the slave or even NSJW-DRM21 I get message Device state conflict. I am online with NSJ5 via USB cable. What I am doing wrong? Thanks Pawel

  15. I purchased V1000 inverter - VZAB0P7BAA I downloaded EDS ZIP file from Yaskawa.com and there are many EDS files in it. Which should I choose? There is no VZAB0P7BAA. Thanks Pawel

  16. Thanks - it will be useful. Could you attach any sample code f.e. for some older devicenet communication unit for inverter. I will write some program for PLC to control inverter via devicenet - I am new in it and I would appreciate for any support. Pawel

  17. Hi ! I am looking for manual how to install, configure this kit, plc example code how to control inverter : speed, direction etc. I tried to find, but no success. Maybe you have some other source? thnaks Pawel

  18. Hi I have 12 Smart Slice modules: 4xOD4, 5xTS2P, 1xAD2 . Power consumption for all of them gives me 13W including GRT1-DRT Current Consumption is 48 mA (it comes only from OD4s) The current 48mA indicates current consumption to calculate devicenet network or not? thanks Pawel

  19. Hi ! In manual for 3G3MV-PDRT2 I found only it is powered from Inverter. Does it mean that it does not need any current from devicenet network. I am counting current consumption in my application and I do not know if I should count sth for these cards or not? thanks Pawel

  20. I would like to prepare new shapes - the best is to make it as a VEC file - what software can I use it to prepare it? How I should register my new shapes to shapes existed in CX-Designer library? thanks Pawel

  21. Hi ! To set color word lamp I use W107 - just 3 lowest bits (6 different states). CX designer can have max 10 states - it means I can use max 4 lower bits. What abouts bits 4 to 15. Can I use it for different demands or I have to reserve it for the word lamp. Right now I cannot, but maybe I can set somewhere upper limit for word lamp f.e just 3 lower bits. thanks Pawel

  22. Hi ! I've just noticed that in my NSJ in Global Symbols tab I do not have D area like D100, D101 ... When I change the PLC to f.e CP1H I have D area addresses in global symbol. Is it normal in NSJ and where I can find D area address? thanks Pawel
