Mike, What browser and pdf viewer are you using. I cannot get the file to download. Thanks.

That is a Chinese only product. I am told if you install CX-Programmer with Chinese language, you should be able to connect. Good Luck. gtsuport

You are correct. I am unable to download Jay's GRAYCODE.pdf. Guessing that is the plc logic you would need. gtsuport

Adapter CJ1W-CIF11 would be needed on the cpu serial ports. RS232 spec is 50 feet, pretty sure it would not go 1000 meters. You could use HOSTLINK, but you would need to format the strings. Might be easier to use Protocol Macros. CX-Protocol is used to create the protocols. Another software to learn. gtsuport

My suggestion would be to connect the HMI to the SCU unit. Do you already have the SCU's? You can set the SCU for Host Link mode to talk to the HMI. PLC Link will be the easiest way for the PLC's to communicate. How much data are you trying to transfer?

Just my two cents. Probably your best bet would be to use CJ1W-CIF11 RS485 adapters on the cpu serial ports. That way you could use PC Link. gtsuport

When you open a reply, this will be at the bottom. Click on choose files and a Windows explore window will open. Just choose the file and then push the Upload button.

900 mm = 34.4 inches ? I agree with you Mike, it could be times 4 for quadrature.

What is the diameter of the roller? Diameter * 3.14 = circumference of the roller Circumerfence / 1024 = distance per pulse.

CJ2 plc has a GRY instruction to do this.

budiman, Welcome to the forum. Do an internet search on gray code to binary plc logic. The E6CP has a gray code output and you will need to convert that to binary for use in our plc program. gtsuport

Welcome to the forum. I think you will need to jumper RTS - CTS on the PLC side. Should be pins 4 and 5. gtsuport

Please see the attached. Serial PC Link CJ2M.pdf

You will need to use the Data Link Area of memory for the communication to work. Data Link Area is CIO 1000 to CIO 1999. gtsuport

How to set MX2 so it starts ("RUN") automatically after power on
gtsuport replied to Mantas Rukuiža's topic in CX-One
Look at parameters b001. Also C001, for Start options, 2 wire or 3 wire. -
Dip switches are only for DeviceNet speed, reference manual W377. What USB to serial converter are you using? Not all are created equal. gtsuport

You will need to contact the OEM or original programmer to get the password.

Yes, the CS1W-CN226 should work. USB to RS232, not all adapters works correctly. You can try to see if you adapter works. If not, I would suggest the USB CN226 cable from www.plccable.com https://www.plccable.com/omron-plc-programming-cable-usb-cs1w-cn226-cs1wcn226-usb-version/ Jeff

CQM1H dip switch information is attached.

Try connecting Ethernet FINS. Port can run both simultaneously. gtsuport

Setting up Omron C40H with external RS232C panel in CX-programmer
gtsuport replied to Trimjohan's topic in CX-Programmer
Trimjohan, Check the plc start up settings. The controller may be seeing the terminal as a programming device and starting up in Program mode. You should be able to set start up mode to Monitor. gtsuport
