  3. Need some help here. I am trying to link a Panasonic FP0H, using it's Build-in LAN to a Fuji / Hakko TS1070Si. I managed to setup the IP addresses on both devices, able to ping both device's IP using laptop. However when hooking them up and meddled with all possible settings. There is still an error on the HMI " PLC1 Communication Error. Ethernet Error : 205(0)".  TCP connection error Connection cannot be established. Check the communication lines, or turn the power off and on. And on the PLC itself the "Connection Establish Flag is 0"   Anyone ever come across such connection type able to help out?

  5. FPWIN Pro 7 Help

I am a novice trying to learn the instruction set to FPWIN Pro 7 for Panasonic PLC FP0H controller.   I am trying to use a rotary dial phone (Western Electric 500) to dial a certain 10 digits to unlock a normally locked electro magnetic lock for my son.   Does anyone know what the instruction program needed to perform this task. I have looked at the instructions: Pulse Relay Pulse Arc Center, and Pulse Target Value Match Set.  I do not know which one to use. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, William

  8. Hi Everyone -  I need your input - I created an LD program for a 5 Alarm system - The system is divided into 2 parts - 1st part the absent of signal (24v) (input X4) triggers a general Alarm (Y5) and start a timer - 2nd part - After Timer has been completed - I am resetting 3 relays - R11 - to remove the input signal (X4) and this way - allow my equipment to trigger the alarm that originated the problem (Y4). R2 - To reset my general alarm output (Y5) and Y5 - To reset the general output. . What this does it allows my Equip to finish processing by enabling (Y5) and then trigger the true alarm (Y4) - by removing the signal..  However - What I noticed is that when the timer has elapsed. R11 is energized and removes the signal from Y4 - which is what I want! - My question is in order to reset the timer or restart the program once my Equipment has been fix - Is resetting the PLC - RUN-PRG-RUN is correct (Good Practice) or is it something by code that I can include? The Picture shows one alarm - the are 5 of this - basically the same setup w/ different timers Thanks in advanced for your feedback

  10. Panasonic FP0 C14RS

Hi All, I am new to the forum and new to programming PLC and like every newbie I have a lot of questions - Brief History of me - I had been a Manufacturing Technician for 20 years and recently got my BS on Electrical Engineering and now working as an Equipment Engineer. The main reason that got me interested in PLC's is my degree,  the field that I would like to get into and a recent problem that arise at work. My experience with PLC is very small in programming, some in TS I/O- However I had been studying by my self to the point that I built a test bench to understand it better and in the future create different project for learning purposes Currently I am putting together a tool Alarm delay program - Basically my exhaust sensors trigger an alarm (input signal turns OFF) before its send  the signal to my tool for abort, I want to create a different Alarm which will cause a different response from my tool and delay the original Alarm by 10 min and then trigger the original Alarm - PLC = Panasonic FP0C14RS  Reasons: Create a different Alarm: The response from my tool to this alarm will allow me to return my material back from the tool and put it in a safe spot. Delay the Alarm: Use a timer to perform this tasks - This the time that approx. it takes the to return the material. Trigger the original Alarm: I need to know which sensor was the problem in order to properly TS- So after my timer is complete - I want to know which sensor created the original Alarm My Current problem: I created the LD program, and while the original alarm stays OFF the program works fine - but since my exhaust sensor are always on - If my original alarm is trigger for  a few seconds, just enough to start my Delay Alarm: I dont have a way to know which sensor trigger after my Delay(Timer)is complete,  I reset my relays in order to be ready for new alarm.   Please provide feedback to my program - I know currently is not the best way or efficient way to do this and there are better ways, but my plan is to get it to work and then later revisions improve the way the program can be written   Thanks in advanced for your feedback and help Exh_delay_inv_rev1.pro
  11. Hey everyone! New member here, and this site has always been a big help!  I try to help other folks too, but a lot of guys are super quick on here.   I've got a problem using some obscure components. I inherited a sensor network at work that uses Panasonic S-Link and I need to read them from a Q-Series. Panasonic makes a module that slots into the Q Series called an SL-VMEL-Q that I have.   My question is:  Did I do everything correctly on my Mitsubishi side? I put it into the parameters as an intelligent module with 64 points and I put the correct address in for the start I/O. Is that all I have to do?  This is the first time I used a module that wasn't on the drop down list when you add one in GX Works 2.   I can read and write to the buffer memory, but I can't get the unit to send to or receive from the sensors. I think the problem is that there is no end unit on the S-Link line (I don't know if it's just a terminating resistor or what), but it previously worked without one, so I can't be certain.
  12.   Hi, I am a design engineer for Teknek. We manufacture automated manufacturing equipment which is used around the globe. Our HQ is located in Scotland, west of Glasgow. We have two PLC based control systems that require further development to meet our customers’ needs.   The first of these systems uses a Panasonic controller. This system needs upgrading to a newer/better model of the Panasonic PLC and additional software development to enable the addition of networking capabilities for remote operation and monitoring via an ethernet link from a customer server, whilst maintaining the current functionality.   The second system we use is based on a ProFace controller. This also needs the addition of networking capabilities for remote monitoring – in this case to enable a remote operator to view the current state of the machine and see if any alarms are active. The hardware for this is already suitable so the development work would purely be software based. We have a further task for the ProFace system relating to modifying the current logic to add new functionality and the addition of a further digital output expansion module to facilitate this. These tasks are for different machines.   For both these controllers we are looking to for developers, experienced in the relevant system, to whom we could subcontract one or more of the work packages. We have budget in place for an immediate start.

  14. Panasonic PLC RS485

Hi, does anyone familiar with the Panasonic PLC FP0R-C16MT with RS485 communication? I got a sample program which is working, but it is different with what I read in manual.  (Control word part) Can anyone help explain this to me? Picture below shows what is inside manual   Example from manual   This is sample program In this sample program, the control word part is direct insert value which is 1301 in hex. But according to manual, this area should be 2 word instead of one.  But I had tested this sample program which is working fine.
  15. Dear all, did anyone did this before. Actually I require to store the weighing reading in hex in order for SCADA to read. But now the weighing value is in decimal format. For example:  Indicator display 1234 KG suppose I need to store this value in 1234(hex) in data register, but now is 1234(decimal). Does anyone here know how to do it? or can i do it manually? i have no idea on how to convert it.
