Posted 16 Oct 2006 (edited) Try this instead... Go to www.odva.org. On the left side of the screen, click Devicenet. The documents listed there are very good and they're free. I'd start with the technical overview, then the planning and installation manual. That should cover all the basics. Posted 17 Oct 2006 If you are using an Allen-Bradley controller, you will have the RSNetworx for DeviceNet software. There is an excellent *.pps slideshow that comes with that software that explains the physical fundamentals of the network and the role that RSNetworx has in configuring slave device parameters and master scanlists. The DeviceNet Tech Bible is a lot to chew on, but represents a very good distillation of eleven years of experience and products that A-B has on the network.
