Mitsubishi Temperature Controller & DCS

4 posts in this topic

Hi All, I need to replace the DCS PID control system RTD sensor Input and Analog 4-20mA control valve. I have check that Mitsubishi have a temperature control module Q64TCRTBW, but unfortunately the output is on/off not a 4-20mA. Have any idea, friends? Thanks & best regards Steve

You are correct about the module, the control is a pulse width modulation. I don't think there is a temperature control module with a analogue output. Is it not possible the seperate the process value and the manipulated value. So you have a thermocouple card (Q64RD) for the process value and an analogue output card for the manipulated value. In this case you have to program your own PID inside the PLC. But that should be no problem.

Hi FNMdeJong, Thank you for your advice. I do ever using Omron PLC C200HS-TC Temperature Controller that have a analog 4-20mA output. But I think I will design using Q64RD and Q68DAI. Thanks & best regards Steve

Best bet for you is as was mentioned to use a temperature input and an analog output module and let the PLC do the PID.
