Canadian PLC Engineer Friendly Agencies

9 posts in this topic

Hi, A Brit PLC Engineer here looking at moving to Canada. Was wondering if anyone knows of employment agencies which specialise in folk like us. In the UK I work as a contractor (freelance) and use a number of agencies to find the next job etc, as such I know that certain agencies a more productive than others. I don't mind the area but my wife has a thing for Vancouver. My main expertise is Siemens, but have a lot of Modicon and Allen Bradley experience in the past (AB a few years ago now though), so I'm presuming I would have to brush up a bit on past experiences, unless Siemens is growing out there. Appreciate any info, thanks in advance.

In the USA we have these people called "head hunters". They generally don't cost you anything to use their services. They find jobs for you. Best place to find head hunters is www.monster.com

I'd also love Montreal, I worked there on contract for 10 months, great City, pity I can't speak French.

My brother in law (also named Pierre, I think they are all named that) is from Montreal, and even though he calls it French it's not. They have there own version it. It is fun to go to hockey games with a bunch of French Canadians. No I don't speak the language. Still fun. Edited by Mickey
