DM 6600-6655 are read-only. That's means that the user program is precluded from writing to the read-only area. Programming devices such as handheld programmers or the memory function of CX Programmer can set values to the read-only DMs. Once the DM is set, there is no reason for the user program to also write to them.

I usually set these read-only DM's through the watch list. If you save your *.opt file, the entries will be available for monitoring or changing easily whenever you open the program. Oh and don't forget to put the CPU in program mode when writing to these DM's....

I know that on syswin - you need to change to data editor as opposed to program editor to change these settings - I do it all the time there must be a relative thingy in CX
