If your 503 is a series "C" you can use the BTW & BTR, otherwise you have to use the M files directly, which can be confusing, as to which register, contains what data. I recommend that if your processor is not Series C, spend the money for a firmware upgrade. The upgrade cost is more than offset by the time savings. Ken

Things might have changed since, but the last time I needed to obtain the upgrade chip for a 5/03 and 5/04 (about 2 yrs. ago), it was FREE!

just want to know how do you address it in order to work with it in the ladder program. If you have a sample code it would be great.

How you access the remote analog I/O depends on which firmware your SLC has and the addressing of your remote I/O, most people use 1-slot addressing, but this isn't always the case. So..... We really can't help you, unless you give us more information. What series SLC? Addressing scheme? How is your remote rack set up? We can't just post some code, because each system is set up differently. Ken
