Hi, i have PLC5 and SLC 500 PLC, connected to panel view using serial port, now the free port is DH+ port but i didn't use it can I change this port to be serial to use it with my programming cable?

No, you cannot change the DH+ port on an SLC to anything, on some PLC5's you can change the Port from DH+ to RIO. But none of them can be changed to serial.

Dear Sir, thanks for your advice but the solution of using usb to DH+ cable costs about 1145 $ is there any solution to use CP3 and CP10 cable?? it will cost only about 40$ is it possible to change the panel view connection to use other ports and let the serial port free for programming cable??

Yes but that will probably cost you more then the UBS divce. hi, i think the port splitter can work only if the port configuration is DF1 Full duplex i fail to go online with SLC 500 5/4 channel 0 but configured to be DH485 with CP3 cable in other PLC where channel 0 configured as DF1 full duplex , with same cable connected ok
