No one has answered the original question! Can you program using "Structured Text" with a Mitsubishi FX3U PLC. I have not used Mitsubishi for many years and am also interested whether "Structured Text" programming is available on current units. Which model Mitsubishi PLC's and which Mitsubishi development Software will do this?

YES, structured text programming is available for the whole FX-series (and Q-series) PLCs using either GX IEC Developer or GX Works 2.

Bits, we did answer the question by providing him the names of the manuals which detail the use of structured programming in the FX series. We're not going to sit here and write a list of each instruction that works. He asked which instructions work, so we gave the manual. YES YOU CAN DO ST PROGRAMMING ON FX3U. Try these links. If not, I will add the manuals here. http://meau.com/functions/dms/getfile.asp?ID=010000000000000001000003481000000 http://meau.com/functions/dms/getfile.asp?ID=010000000000000001000003481100000

Thanx for the rsply. I downloaded the manuals from Crossbow's links and can see for each Structured Function the equivalent Structured Text statements, but nowhere in those manuals is how to use the Structured Text language in a Mitsubishi PLC. Is there a separate manual for this or is it included in one of the software manuals?

You need to select the language when you create a project. In GX Developer, select the Use label box and then you can select ST as the language. In GX Works2, you can select a structured project. Which software are you using?
