C200H I/O slots.

3 posts in this topic

Hello. I currently have a C200H system running on a machine that has the following I/O card setup. OUTPUT, BLANK, OUTPUT, OUTPUT, INPUT. My question is: Can i add an additional input card in the spare slot between the two output cards? thanks in advance.

Gary, Yes you can. The C200H used fixed addressing. Each slot had a specific address. IF, the output module is in the leftmost slot, it is addressed as Channel 0, which would make the new input module Channel 1. Addressing example 001.00, first three digits are the channel address, last two the bit address. Hope this will help.

To add to GTSuport, the I/O table MAY be registered. Power down the PLC, add the card, power up the PLC if the PLC does not fault, you are ready to go. If it goes into fault, most likely the registered I/O table does not agree to the new configuration. One of these two manuals will explain. http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?autocom=...mp;showfile=506 http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?autocom=...mp;showfile=505
