data retention using m8033

I use the relay M8033 to retain data in a data register which works OK when switching between run and program but when I power down completely and then switch back on, the data register in question resets to zero. What am I doing wrong ? ( PLC=FXON ) Cheers Ecca

good question - what register you try to use? FX0N has 128 retentive registers (D128-D256).

Looks like it doesn't do what you want it to... Number M8033 Name Memory hold stop Contents OFF: Non hold ON: Memory hold Details The device statuses and settings are retained when the PLC changes from RUN to STOP and back into RUN. Applicable CPU ALL FX CPU

It does exactly what it should do. It does not convert non-latching device to latching ones.
