Or can this be done via the Omron CX OPC communications control? I have not looked into this much, has anyone used it much, easy to implement? Have a system on one site, that is a building hvac system, have not had a look to see if there is an OPC driver for it, yet.....

It is quite easy to use OPC with CXS. I have had good experience with Kepware, they have quite a big driver list. Once you created all tags in the server you can import them in CX-Supervisor OPC comms control and use them to link to points. Easy as that! I think the hardest part will be finding your driver.
