Protoocol Macro Download - SCU

Is there a method to download protocol macros to an Serial Communication Card WITHOUT having to take the PLC out of the RUN mode? Is it possible to download PMCR's directly to the SCU? Any ideas???

Even though I doubt it, as you are effectively modifying a SIOU, hence the need for it to come out of run mode? Perhaps this could be a 'CX-Protocol' improvements topic, as powerful as it is, there are some things that could be better perhaps, the run mode being one of them.....also, being able to edit the message format without having to go through the process of editing & deleting....unless of course you can do that already, and I am doing it wrong?

I agree, CX-Protocol has not really had any functional upgrades or other improvements since its inception. No actual complaints though, I have used it many times. Nibroc
