Although not an electrical solution. Can you gear them together?

If you have space on your current screen then you can make it a parent screen. Make a new screen then add it as a child screen with your keyboard only and check the overlapping option. I haven't had time to try it but I think it will work. Alternatively, the NT21 is the same dimensions with 'high function'. That is, same functions as the NT30. You mentioned having funds for the NT30/31. If you can fit one then my opinion is go with it.... the more real estate the better. Good luck

Wow! They look very familiar. As competetive as those companies are I can't believe they do that. I guess pride goes out the door when money talks. ;)

If you mean 'how to interpret data types' try reading this thread.

We have a computer dedicated to data collection. We put the DDE manager in the Windows start up so it runs all the time.

Did you use the 'File Conversion Utility'? File Conversion Utility will open your PGC2000.DAT file and show a list of the program(s) you want to convert. It will convert it to a *.cxt file. Open CX Programmer, choose OPEN then click the dropdown box to file type 'CX Programmer Text Files (*.cxt)'. Addressing will be converted. I'm not sure about all instructions. I haven't had any problems personally. I would just try it and see if it compiles.

I find it very interesting when I find someone else still using S6's. We have the same problem. I plan on replacing ours with CQM1's. I find it difficult to get to this project as we have more pressing issues to contend with and the S6's rarely give us problems. The outputs that used to fail had large loads on them such as a solenoid valves. We have changed it to where the output would drive a relay and the relay would drive the solenoid valve. This has decreased our maintenance and prolonged the life of our S6 outputs. Good luck, IORack

Kinda resembles an Omron FIT 10. We still have one of those around somewhere.

Jay.... you know way too much about Omron products. Sorry for the interruption.

I have had many problems clearing I/O tables in the old C200H's even using LSS. I have always resorted to using a hand held programmer. In the C200H manual there is a key sequence for doing this. If that doesn't work then try the hammer.

Now I know that I'm not crazy. In the past I've pondered on this for a few moments then just moved on. Never found out why. I didn't realize it was because it was in the same channel.

I am trying to connect an NT2S-SF121B-EV2 to a C2000H through a C500-LK203. They do communicate. I can change screens but I cannot set a bit in the PLC using the function buttons. I get the error on the NT2S reading: Cannot write this Register... I have tried various (if not all) memory areas. I have tried using a different NT2S with the same results. I have used the same connection with an NT21 touchscreen and was able to set bits in the PLC. I have also used the NT2S with a CPM2A and a C200HG both with success. It appears as though the NT2S is just not capable with the C2000H. Omron support tells me is should be possible, they are checking on it now. Anybody know what is going on? Thank you, IO Rack

I believe this is a bug in CPT. I've experienced the same problem. It seems if you make changes to a program in a PLC by reducing its size, uploading it back into the PLC the last part of the old program remains after the new END statement. One problem this causes is the program will fail a compare. This means you will not be able to do an online edit afterwords. (This used to drive me nuts! :*-( ) I think Paul has the best option here. Clear the memory first.

We have several technicians in our plant whom are very grateful to you for your effort. Thanks again. I/O Rack

I am in search of a technical manual for this Omron cam positioner. I've searched Omron's web site and can only find the brosure and instructions. I have a Japanese version of the technical manual but I need an English version. On the rear cover in the bottom left corner is the number 14-024. Thank you.

It used to be they had the smallest and fastest. We used them for high speed applications. But now most PLC manufacturers have comparable units. I do like their math functions. You can perform several functions in a single rung. I/O Rack

Wow, I didn't think I would ever get a hold of a copy. Thank you for your persistent effort. Waiting patiently, I/O Rack
