  1. Good luck finding an SMTP server that doesn't require authentication.
  2. I've never heard of the Logix5000 platform sending email but would dearly love for it to do so.
  3. The "L" data file [known as Long] is 32 bits. Try creating one of those to send your 4 bytes to.
  4. VTScada

    relevant help page. https://www.vtscada.com/help/Content/D_Tags/Dev_DataSuffixesForTagIO.htm

  6. VTScada

First I'd suggest that in your question you include better details, such as the driver and tag type you're using. and I'd try posting it here https://forum.trihedral.com
  7. *.RSS file convert to PDF

The person that provided that should have included electrical drawings if you're supposed to make any sense of it. I got it opened and then I got the "this is the vtscada system" call.
  8. EIP Commuincation

I've always wonder why people run straight for produce/consume. You guys need a snickers.
  9. Click PLC and Keyence SR1000 barcode reader

Nobody let's me play with barcode readers anymore. The rj-12 port is rs232.  From what I remember most barcode readers end the TX with <CR> THere's a couple guys over on the AutomationDirect forum that have done barcode stuff. https://forum.automationdirect.com/
  10. Well, it's a micrologix which uses PCCC through CIP. It's not exactly Ether/IP but you can use the MSG instruction to read and write the assemblies. There's an android app called Suppanel that works well with Micrologix and is rather affordable.
  11. Uhh, He's asking about Micrologix not controllogix.  You can read and write assemblies from the MSG block under CIP Generic with service read assembly or write assembly. There's no built in scanner in RSlogix500 like there is in RSlogix5000 I believe the Powerflex has a bunch of N registers you can read write to but that's there for SLC's and other forms of archaic voodoo.   Actually it looks like he's trying to follow "Publication 750COM-AT001A-EN-P - August 2012" In which case the answer is in it. https://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/at/750com-at001_-en-p.pdf
  12. There's an error bit on the MSG instruction.
  13. OMRON VS FACTORYTALK

You probably don't I'd suggest a OPC server.
  14. With any margin of error that's a linear graph.
  15. The fear of FOR TO loops

There's a reason QuickBASIC wasn't ported to windows.
  16. Prv instruction in structured text

I've only used it for creating function blocks for alternate PID equations, odd pump curves, a rather odd pH vs flow equation, and such oddball things crazy P.E.'s come up with.
  17. Prv instruction in structured text

You're only the third person I heard ever promote the use of structured text. But that's fine I seem to be the only person for thousands of miles to be able to understand it.
  18. TON syntax error

    Missing variable?
  19. MSG alternative to acees BOOL type data?

    Bit Packed Words
  20. RedLion CR300010 Raw TCP/IP Communication

    What are you writing to?
  21. Concept 2.1xl

In that case I would try calling your rep until you get someone that can find it.  If they continue to state that they cannot produce it for you ask for a written statement that the software in question is out of service and abandoned by them. At which point the lawyers will "lose their minds" and somebody will go dig it out of a closet, or they may do nothing, or the loons may write the statement which will free you up to acquire the software through unofficial channels (which will never happen).
  22. Concept 2.1xl

  23. Concept 2.1xl

Current version of concept is 21, do we have a typo on our hands?
  24. Advice on choosing a PLC for a project

If I remember right the "Analog Inputs" on the ML1400 are 0-10VDC.  Most instruments are going to be 4-20ma.
