  1. E1000 or GOT1000 ?

We teach the class at Mitsubishi offices around the country, and the CD with the book, powerpoint, sample programs, and manuals is orderable from our distributors. I would recommend coming to the class personally, but perhaps with the CD you could learn what you need to know.
  2. Ethernet for an FX2N-64MR PLC

The sample code should have been installed in a subdirectory under the MX-OPC Server install directory. MX-Component is typically included with MX-OPC in the downloads, it should have installed both.
  3. Modicon TSX 17

If you have all the files for the old programming software, I have PL7 Pro 4.3 and can covnert it forward. There may be some commands or things that don't work the same once converted, you will need to double check everything. I'd also need to know the old wiring diagram and new one to know what to change the I/O addresses to.
  4. Ethernet for an FX2N-64MR PLC

The Ethernet connection for the FX2N is the FX2NC-ENET-ADP Ethernet adapter and FX2N-CNV-BD converter board. As for how to talk to it with VB, I wouldn't know. I would use MX-Component or MX-OPC Server.
  5. Q Analog Module

Nope, it's correct. The Q64AD registers as a 16 bit intelligent module. Many of the Q cards are more memory efficient than their predecessors.
  6. gx simulator

GX-Simulator is a commercial product. There is no free or demo version. You need to contact your local distributor to buy a copy.
  7. manual melsec

http://www.meau.com/functions/dms/getfile....000000204701000 FX Series Hardware Manual I just went to www.meau.com, went into Downloads, Manuals, and in the product part number field typed FX2. Worked fine. Of course in the title of your article you said FX2N, and in the message said FX2. Two completely different PLCs. Please verify the part number for us!
  8. manual melsec

Depending where you are in the world, www.meau.com has a huge library of manuals if you pick downloads from the home page. But it's for MEAU (US/Canada/Latin America) so outside that area it might redirect you to your closest Mitsubishi office's website.
  9. Link PLC to PLC wireless

I've used Data-Linc wireless Ethernet between 2 Qs before. Worked fine. Also used Data-Linc wireless RS232 between 2 FX2Ns without a hitch. Look at www.data-linc.com and look at the SRM6200 series for serial and SRM6310 for Ethernet.
  10. GX Simulator help required, doesn't communicate

In the tools menu, when you pick Start Ladder Logic Test does it work? There's nothing to configure as long as the GX-Simulator is properly installed. I know the current version of GX-Sim is in the 7 range, so your 6.0 is out of date, and might not work with the version 8 GX-Developer. But I can't be sure. I would recommend you uninstall GX-Sim and reinstall it. Have you upgraded the version of GX-Dev since GX-Sim was installed?
  11. Serial interface

Is the VFD sending any data back to the PLC? If not, there's nothing to receive. Instead of sending data like a speed command, try to read something from the VFD. See if you can read data and if the VFD sends and the PLC receive operates.
  12. SC-09 Problems

As for the right way to connect the E100 to the laptop, it's not the SC09, that's for the PLC. The correct programming cable for the standard E-terminals is CAB5. If it's an E1000 type unit (E1070, E1071, E1100, E1101, or E1151) the correct programming cable is CAB30.
  13. SC-09 Problems

Certain USB serial converters don't work well with the Mitsubishi PLCs and the cables with the electronics. Keyspan USA-19HS and Keyspan USB-19HS or CP technologies CP-US-03 work well. Belkin, IOGear, and others seem to have problems. Depends on the chipset they use in their converters.
  14. Modicon TSX 17

PL7 Pro won't read TSX17 programs or communicate with TSX17 PLCs. When you install PL7 Pro there are two options for a PL7-2 and PL7-3 converter. You need to install the PL7-2 converter, and it has all the tools to convert a TSX17 program to TSX37. But you need to have a copy of the original program. If you don't have it, you'll need to get the cable and software for the TSX17. Software was DOS-based and cable's been obsolete for years, so good luck with those.
  15. That might work. I'd consider either buying the USB cable or getting a PCMCIA serial card.
  16. Servo Mitsubishi TRA61A

Never heard of such a thing...
  17. FX3

I hadn't even thought of that one... Nice catch! I was looking at the Ramp instruction, not at his follow-up MOV command.
  18. FX1 40MT

GX-Developer has 2 versions. GX-Developer will support all PLCs since the AOJ2 (which goes back almost 20 years), including all FX families, A, AnS, AnSH, QnA, QnAS, and Q. GX-Developer-FX is limited to the all of the FX Series models (FX, FX1, FX2, FX0, FX0S, FX0N, FX1S, FX1N, FX2N, FX2NC, and FX3U). The -FX version is cheaper than the full version if all you're going to program is the FX series. Hardware manuals are on www.meau.com if you're in the US. I'll see if I can grab that one and post it here later on.
  19. IEC Insruction List Documentation

Mitsubishi Electric Automation US has a private section on their website for distributors, but it's not for manuals. All the manuals are public. The only manuals I have ever seen for IEC Developer are the two I mentioned. Maybe someone in Mitsubishi Europe can help, since they wrote IEC Developer.
  20. FX3

What do you mean it doesn't work too well? Can you describe what it's doing that's not what you expected it to? If you tell us more about what you are trying to accomplish, we can try to help.
  21. MM+

GX-IEC Developer is up to at least version 7, you should really upgrade to the latest one... Have you tried to import the source code? Not too familiar with IEC Developer but I know GX-Developer can import Medoc programs.
  22. FX1 40MT

FX1 was a previous model, not the FX1S or FX1N. You'll need to pick the FX style PLC for this. You should consider upgrading to GX-Developer-FX, as MEDOC is obsolete and won't support the latest processors.
  23. IEC Insruction List Documentation

There are two manuals on GX-IEC Developer. There is a basic and an applied one. They can both be had from www.meau.com. If you cannot download them from there, I will add them here later tonight.
  24. Resetting a SFC program

GX IEC Developer is not actively marketed here in the US, since use of IEC programming is not that widespread here. I've never had a chance to work with it. Sorry.
  25. f900 got ul listing...

They obviously have no idea what they are doing. See the following links and tell them they are insane... Go to www.meau.com, go into Technical Support, Industrial Automation, Standards Compliance Information. Or go to www.ul.com and search out E95239 in the online certificate databas. All the F-GOT products are listed. I've also printed it to a PDF and attached it to this email. I've even highlighted the section on page 4 about the F-GOT units. UL_NRAQ.E95239.pdf
