  1. Hi, I want to show online status by means of indicators in a CXS project which connects to several PLC's I have been looking for a system point which indicates whether the communication between CXS and a plc is established or not,but can't find anything. like nr open PLC's in CX-server's performance monitor. Also after CXS lost communications with a PLC how can I let the point values drop to their defaults. Hope someone understands my 2 questions. Thanx
  2. NS10 FIRMWARE UPGRADE

Hello, can anyone tell me what these minor bugs are? I have got CX-designer version V1.00 oct21 2005 and can only convert programs to ver 6.2 If I upgrade the firmware with FW version 6.3, I think can't download program with version 6.2 right ? thanx
  3. Goodmorning, I decided to post this silly thing, I am trying to login to the standard webpages of an CXS3.0 application, but despite granted webacces to the user it still gives me a "Login unsuccessful. Check credentials and try again." message I have tried all users , made new ones, still no luck . Anyone has had this problem before? This is very frustrating.. Greetz Toni
  4. Hi, I am playing around with the new datalogviewer in CXS 3.0 I am not experienced with databases and can't seem to create a readable file. either I don't get to select any traces at all or when I do get selectable traces I get an error : Unhandeld exception (Specified cast is not valid) Can someone upload an example .mdb file which I can open with Datalog viewer 2.0 and MS Acces, to help figure out what I am doing wrong? I have loads of csv log files which I would like to be able to view with the new datalogviewer. I have attached one of these. 08010109.rar Any help is very much apreciated. Greetz Tony
  5. Yes, your columnheader of Milliseconds is spelled with one l instead of two ll's. Database1_Milliseconds_ok.rar Grtz Tony
  6. Attached .mdb file can be opened, maybe some indexing changes can be done but I haven't tried that yet, I was already happy that it worked this way. Grtz Tony 08010110.rar
  7. I figured it out, The Milliseconds column has to be "long integer" and not "integer" otherwise the logviewer wont show any items at all to open. Also all fields have to be filled with data, or you wil get the .net error as described above. The new Data log viewer is awesome !! Outstanding thinking of the developers !! grtz
  8. Ok, thanx for confirming Pdl, I was allready thinking in that direction, just didn't want to code something which might allready be incorporated. Thanx
  9. Ok, online status is solved now, I am using a IsPLCOpen script for that now. so this leaves me with the pointvalues which hold their last updates value after connection loss, but I like them to be resetet to their default values as if comms where never initiated. Thanx again. Tony
  10. remote Passtrough NS to CJ1M

Hello, I have a client with CJ1M PLC serial connected to NS5-TQ11B, is it possible to monitor and program the CJ1M through the NS's ethernet connección ? This will save my client the purchase of the expensive etn card. Greets Tony
  11. Good afternoon, I have a problem with showing the PLC clock on a scada page. I have been struggling with the points and animation editor. How can I show the PLC date and Clock, in this form? 09-02-18 14:15:46 Especially the : and - is giving me headaches.. Sorry for this probably noob question. BTW, I don't want to use the PC's system clock points. Thanx, Tony
  12. show PLC clock and date on display

Ok thanx, I will do it that way
  13. Good afternoon , I hope you can help my out with the following problem. I connect from my office over internet to various cj1m plc's equiped with etn21 card's for SCADA monitoring and remote programming. Due to a routing fault of my DSL provider, I can't access one of them because the clients WAN ip is exactly the same as mine exept for the last digits. There's simply no route, even pinging is impossible. Since this particular site is accessible from every other location with different ip range I wondered if I could set up one accessible plc to act as gateway to connect to the problem site. I am thinking Ip router table in the etn21 or configuring routing tables in the PLC. since i'm not an expert in this but did manage to set up the various plc's to have remote acces, any detailed help would be very welcome. Thanx
  14. Yes correct PdL, the connecting IP is different than before, but I have multiple connecting ip's setup in the ETN21's IP router table.(3 in total ) I can connect with 2 of them. just not the one which we have at the office and is in the same Ip range as the clients WAN IP. The reason that it doesn't work has nothing to do with Omron ETN21 or CX programmer comms setup, but the fact that I can't reach to any wan ip in the same range as our office WAN ip. That's why I was looking into a work around (use another remote PLC (A) to which a am able to connect from our office as gateway to remote PLC (B) ). Greetz Tony
  15. Nothing has changed PdL I can still access this particular plc from another location (Home). @ PMCR, that doesn't sound promising.. To install an extra card would be a little overdone to do some routing. I am going to look in to the two attached docs now. Thanx
  16. I used to have 2 dsl connections here, and connected through the other one witch isn't here anymore. no remote desktop, I connect straight to the PLC.: PC running CX-prog and Scada --->> local dsl modem -->> WAN -->> remote dsl modem with port 9600 forwarded -->> ETN21 I understand that you might think I am making a mistake in local modem/router setup. but believe me I have tested every possibility, and actually realy need help with the workaround solution, and meanwhile figure things out with my ISP, witch goes through Spanish helpdesk employees and therefore is not very promising . Grtz Tony
  17. @ pago, I think you misunderstood me, there is no response from the ping request; "request timed out." I dont use vpn, I even tried directly from my laptop on DHCP receiving my WAN ip directly from ISP. I can not ping any IP witch is in the same IP-range as my WAN IP except for the WAN gateway. thanx for your reply.
  18. Goodafternoon all, I have a problem with one CJ1M_CPU12 with etn21, I log dm and write these to the memcard in .CSV once a day to a specific directory. When I open the memcard in the project workspace in cxp 6.11 I can see the directory but when I try to read it I get TIMEOUT/COMMS FAILURE - OPERATION FAILED! I acces the plc over the internet so its quit inoying because I can't be on site to try and fix it. Is there anything I can remotly do? Greetz Tony
  19. TIMEOUT / COMMS FAILURE memory card

Ok, I took the risk and did some work on the router and I can acces the ftp server now ! I can download the files without any problems now. I first tried portforwarding 2100 for the connection, but that didn't work good because I kept on having list errors, logging in worked ok, but no replys cam through from the server. now on 21 it works fine, Is there a limited number of ports available for the ftp connection? And also is it neccesary to have the ftp clients IP in the routing table? Greetz Tony
  20. TIMEOUT / COMMS FAILURE memory card

I have tried in the past with this machine to make a portmapping in the router to acces de ftp server over the internet but I didn't manage to get it working. I think it would be best to by ftp, but I am a little cautious changing the router settings from a distance location.. If I mess it up I'll risk not accesing the PLC at all.. greetz Tony
  21. NS10 FIRMWARE UPGRADE

Ok, thanks for the info !

  24. download to NS through PLC again

Hi All, My first post here since reading this forum and learning almost everything I need to learn for almost 2 years now ... I would like to pass through program a NS5 terminal over the internet, I've got everything set up right to do local pass through programming and also remote (over internet) programming/monitoring of the PLC. As i said local pass through programming works but via internet it doesn't. my set up is as follows: CJ1M CPU11 ETN21; ETN21 = unit no 0 is on network no 2 Serial port as suggested above is on Network no2 routing tables are set up right (I can acces plc over internet) NS5 : serial port A NTlink 1:N , unit no 0 , Comm. Speed High. I have two dsl connections here so testing is easy. Please advise when more info is needed or when my question not unterstood. Grtz Tony By the way , thanx for the great info here..
  25. Simple programming cable for Mitsubishi FX

Hi guys, thanks for the scematic for the simple cable, and user experienses posted here, I can confirm that the cable does also work with fx0 30MR-ES with the adaption of shorting 2-6 and 7-8 on PC side. I must be honest I haven't tried connecting without these adaptions because of bad experience with fx0 30MR-ES posted here. I use Mesec Medoc 2.41 under XP Grtz. Toni
