Do you have manuals and did you read them? You can also visit http://www.cc-link.org/eng/t_html/top.html for more info. According to compatibility info (http://www.cc-link.org/eng/t_html/cc/07.html) Master version 1 only works with slaves version 1. Master version 2 should work with slaves versions 1 and 2. I would expect that if you have both version1 and version2 slaves on a same network, whole network would have to be configured as version1.
  7. Application error in GPPWin

conormccormick What version of GPP you have? What do you consider "good spec"? So how much RAM memory do you have and how much of it is free? How much free space is on your harddrive? To check free ram, rightclick on task bar and open task manager. Click on Performance tab. You should see something like [Physical Memory (K)--------] Total_____________520000 Available_________320000 System Cache____112500 What numbers do you have? You also wrote that you tried to reinstall software. Can you explain what exactly did you do? (Uninstal, delete remaining files by hand, clean registry, reboot, fresh install...).
  8. meau.com

Saying "it just doesn't work from here" is not helping very much. You should try to trace it. It could be your own provider that is preventing you from accessing certain servers. If that's the case you might be just a phone call away from having access to any site you want.
  9. meau.com

I'm not sure if you know about it but you could try to trace actual route the connection is made. just open the DOS-Box and type tracert www.meau.com You should see list of all servers that are involved in connection. There are visual route tracers like NeoTrace or www.VisualRoute.com etc. I'm in Canada so this is list of servers my browser uses to get to Mitsubishi website: Tracing route to meau.com [65.119.131.15] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 30 ms 20 ms 30 ms tlgw18.etob.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [65.50.44.1] 2 40 ms 30 ms 60 ms 10.1.68.129 3 21 ms 30 ms 20 ms gw01-vlan965.etob.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.93.145] 4 30 ms 20 ms 30 ms gw02.bloor.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.82.102] 5 40 ms 30 ms 40 ms gw02.chi.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.81.1] 6 40 ms 40 ms 30 ms if-3-0.core1.Chicago3.teleglobe.net [216.6.16.1] 7 40 ms 30 ms 40 ms ix-4-0.core1.Chicago3.teleglobe.net [216.6.16.22] 8 30 ms 61 ms 30 ms chi-core-02.inet.qwest.net [205.171.20.137] 9 40 ms 40 ms 40 ms cer-core-01.inet.qwest.net [205.171.205.34] 10 40 ms 40 ms 40 ms cer-edge-01.inet.qwest.net [205.171.139.14] 11 40 ms 50 ms 40 ms 65.122.87.222 12 * * * Request timed out. 13 * * * Request timed out. what is exact URL you use? is it main domain server www.meau.com or you are trying to jump into some directory on that server? did you try to enter IP address directly into your browser's address bar? Its 65.119.131.15 (just in case problem is with the name server).
  11. Can't download to NS screen

Yes there was a timeout after a (long) while. Btw I beleive to have found out how to correct the problem (it worked for me). It is obvioulsy problem with the Fins Gateway. Here are the steps I did to corect it: 1. Uninstall all Omron software (even CX programmer) 2. Delete all Omron files under X:\Program Files\ (there was still over 40mb of junk after uninstall) 3. Start Regedit, search for "Omron" and delete all keys. 4. Search for "Fins" and delete all keys. 5. Reboot 6. Install NS Designer again, install Fins Gatevey, click OK to upgrade Fins Gateway to 3.12 7. Tried to upload from NS screen (it worked) 8. Modify and download back to NS (it worked) 9. Install CX Programmer The whole thing lasted ca 30minutes. Note: I had no Omron software on this machine (I just did total rebuild few days ago when partitions were formated). The Omron software installed without any complains (latest versions of CX programmer and NS Designer) but it didn't work. In the Fins I was able to see single COM1 and three COM3 ports but no COM4 (USB/RS232 converter). After above procedure, everything works just fine. Reason I removed ALL Omron software (steps 1, 2 and 3) is because manual cleanup of files and registry is much simpler. You don't have to wory if something belongs to one or another Omron package and installing it takes only minute or two. Hope this helps someone else...
  12. Can't download to NS screen

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone has experienced something like this (o maybe has suggestion how to fix it): We just got NS10xxx-V1 screen and NS Designer V5. To test it out we created sample application (screen with one PB and one lamp) and downloaded it to the NS10 via serial cable. Well that's where problems start. Using brand new Dell laptop (with built in com port) we got no success. We tried same thing using older laptop (ca 1.6GHz Celeron) and it sort of (almost) worked - transmition would stop at random points like 3%, 20%, 81%, 86%, 60% etc but never complete. Just for the heck of it we undusted some 500MHz AMD machine and it worked every time. All machines are running XP. My question is did any of you have similar problem?
  13. PLC to PC help me please

You probably don't start those DLLs from command prompt, do you? (I never tried but you could do it using rundll) You need PC program that can both read PLC memory and execute the DLLs based on PLC memory status.
  14. GX Developer

Who cares... It's probably still 16-bit application just like all other Mitsubishi software. They all do work under XP anyway (except that obsoleted software for 800 GOT which cannot transfer application to/from GOT under XP - it was written for Win3.1 and Win95).
  15. SLC 5/02

Why don't you use analog input for this? Basic modules are pain (very slow and very limited). I don't think they are used by more than very few people.
  16. Flex Logix

    Maybe this will help http://www.ab.com/manuals/cp/
  17. ControlLogix

you have to see the spec for particular card.
  18. Where can i find GX developer

Where did you look so far? Did you try contacting Mitsubishi distributors? Mitsubishi website is www.meau.com
  19. I tried them before and I ended fixing some code that used them a lot. IMHO aliases are more of a trouble than solution. There are no utilities or functions to handle aliases whatsoever. Simple warning "You already have X aliases for this tag. Are you sure you want to create a new one?" would be a start...
  20. Well you don't HAVE to use long names, just call it TC instead of Trimmer_Console (you can still have long descriptions...). You could try to make your own short form such as TC:I.6/5 and let guys know that wire lable TC:I.6/5 really maps to TC:I.Data[6].5... I don't think they would have problem with that. Maybe someone else has better idea. If not, send your $$$ to me... :D
  21. Use ML1500 ... at least for development.
  22. ISO question

Tall is just one dimension , but yes that's him, say hello when you see him...
  23. ISO question

Tought so... (well it was a long shot...) I have a friend who used to work there and he mentioned friend who is in bussiness with cables. Once I saw http://www.plccables.com/shop/ and noticed somewhere that you are in Cleveland, it was not too hard to put 2 and 2 together.
