Hello all, When I try to go to www.meau.com I get a screen that tell me That I do not have permission to access this site. Does anyone know why.

I just tried it and it worked fine. Perhaps they were doing some maintenance while you were there. Try again. You need to register in order to access the downloads section of their site but the general sections of it are open access. Jim Rowell

There is a username and password field in the upper right of the screen, but that does not need to be filled out to access the manuals, catalogs, etc. That's only for those of us who work for Mitsubishi or a distributor. I've never had a problem getting in even when I don't enter my password.

It is not maintanace of web page. I think that it depends on your ip address. I also cannot open this page when in the same time somebody else from Europe can do this. I am also wonder why i cannot open it? Best Regards Pawel S.

I have found that logging in can be the solution to this problem. Even if you are not a distributor, you can register at www.meau.com and get a log-in. I have found tha on occasion, if I don't log in, that I can;t get to the manual and drawing downloads successfully. Chuck

Thanks for the replies, I do not get as far as a log on page, I get a error page saying permission deneid, probable cause as copied below. Background: This error is caused when the server has a list of IP addresses that are not allowed to access the site, and the IP address you are using is in this list. I think the same situation as pawelleg in his reply above. Greetings all. S Rossi

what is exact URL you use? is it main domain server www.meau.com or you are trying to jump into some directory on that server? did you try to enter IP address directly into your browser's address bar? Its 65.119.131.15 (just in case problem is with the name server).

I'm not sure if you know about it but you could try to trace actual route the connection is made. just open the DOS-Box and type tracert www.meau.com You should see list of all servers that are involved in connection. There are visual route tracers like NeoTrace or www.VisualRoute.com etc. I'm in Canada so this is list of servers my browser uses to get to Mitsubishi website: Tracing route to meau.com [65.119.131.15] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 30 ms 20 ms 30 ms tlgw18.etob.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [65.50.44.1] 2 40 ms 30 ms 60 ms 10.1.68.129 3 21 ms 30 ms 20 ms gw01-vlan965.etob.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.93.145] 4 30 ms 20 ms 30 ms gw02.bloor.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.82.102] 5 40 ms 30 ms 40 ms gw02.chi.phub.net.cable.rogers.com [66.185.81.1] 6 40 ms 40 ms 30 ms if-3-0.core1.Chicago3.teleglobe.net [216.6.16.1] 7 40 ms 30 ms 40 ms ix-4-0.core1.Chicago3.teleglobe.net [216.6.16.22] 8 30 ms 61 ms 30 ms chi-core-02.inet.qwest.net [205.171.20.137] 9 40 ms 40 ms 40 ms cer-core-01.inet.qwest.net [205.171.205.34] 10 40 ms 40 ms 40 ms cer-edge-01.inet.qwest.net [205.171.139.14] 11 40 ms 50 ms 40 ms 65.122.87.222 12 * * * Request timed out. 13 * * * Request timed out. Saying "it just doesn't work from here" is not helping very much. You should try to trace it. It could be your own provider that is preventing you from accessing certain servers. If that's the case you might be just a phone call away from having access to any site you want.

The other thing nobody has pointed out yet is that the www.meau.com site is the NORTH AMERICAN website for Mitsubishi. They have other sites in other parts of the world. The MEAU stands for Mitsubishi Electric Automation US. Try the corporate website and get a link to your local site. Global: global.mitsubishielectric.com UK: mitsubishi.co.uk/automation/

Hello again, I did a trace and the block happens at their end, I used visualroute and got to the host in Chigago. The block must be to Oceania region? Thanks all. PS I would just like to download GX developer V8.0 demo version to see if the upgrade is worth puchasing.
