Hi Paul, i've done as you wrote before. So, with word page translation it's all ok. But I have a problem with alarm Translation I've exported them, then encode in little endian without modify strings. Then try to import but error occurred. The program tells me to read log file, but i dont know where. The only thing that i've seen is that during export i have a message that tells me that some alarm stings are longer then maximum allowed. Probably is there the mistake? Thanks again Valerio

Thanks Paul for answer. Im using InTouch 10 I've used the built in language option. Then I used Notepad++ as suggested by Wonderware site to modify the language .xml file. But i had a problem. If i try to write cyrillic on xml editor ie can't recognise russian font (i read only "??????") and i read "?????" also in the project during runtime any good idea? thanks again

Hi there, im using everyday Citect but now i have to do one (maybe the only one) project with a Siemens PC477 15". To progam it im using WinCC Flexible 2007. But im new on this world and i am a bit confused Here some question: - How can i check my software (simulate) on my PC without Runtime Key? The key is on Siemens PC that will arrive one day... - How can do a popup window on a Page? By now ive found this difficult... Probably i'll have other questions thanks to everyone... Bye

Hello! i have to do the communication between a PLC S7300 and a PC where is installed CX-Supervisor (maybe Dyalox). Omron service told me to use Siemens PLC as OPC server and CX-Supervisor ad OPC client. So how can i do it?? I think I have to buy a license for Siemens OPC ( which name of this license? about the price?) Is this license valid only for one project or for every project i'll do in future??? Can I use a standard Ethernet in both sides (PLC &PC) ? or is better serial? Has someone done this kind of communication and has him a little example? I have to choose between this solution or use a standard WINCC. But i'd prefer Omron solution, also to learn something on OPC So a lot of things but every answer is appreciated thanks valerio

If you only have to "test" a program, you can start test from CX-Programmer, using test "PLC-NS" from menu. you simulate the normal work of PLC looking for all changes on NS

Hi there. Today a customer asks me to develope a SCADA software for my Omron application. He asks me to use WinCC on one of his desktop PC. In my Hardware configuration i have a CJ1 cpu and a ETN21 ethernet card. I've seen that WinCC support Hostlink protocol but not Omron Ethernet. I was thinking to use OPC server. But I don't know how to use it I've never used the OPC standard. Have I to install something on that PC? Need I a new software that manage OPC? Someone had the same configuration?? Hi again. I have a new question. i need to know operation time of all pumps (around 110) for mantainence. In PLC I/O i have the input that tell me when pump is running. So, while pump is running i want to count in my SCADA. And when work time is equal to a setpoint i need an alarm. The question is how can i do the count for each pump. How is the best solution for you? Thank a lot.. p.s. it's so hard to change often SCADA system.. i've tried Citect, Cimplicity..now WINCC and next time Wonderware...

ive used a lot citect and only once cimplicity. cimplicity use a license software key (as siemens). last time ive used a 35000tags license but i dont remember the price. on my experience i prefer to work with citect, maybe because ive used it often.

I want to change colours of a pump using 2 bits. the first is "alarm" and the second is "pump running" if both the bits are off the pump will be grey. if the first is on pump will be red if the second bit is on the pump will be green. how can i do that? ive see that with a lamp memory i have more then one colour avayable but i can use it only referred to a bit any idea? thanks

When you connect NS through USB, Windows asks you to install driver. You can find it in C:\Program Files\OMRON\CX-Server\USB\win2000_XP\inf once you have finished the new hardware installation you are ready to download/upload sofwares

I have a NS5 connected to a E5ZN through port B and a CJ1 through port A. i want to write DM words to C1 channels of E5ZN. i try to explain my project. i have a button on NS5 where i input a value with keyboard. i write a macro that when change numeral write the input SERIALA:DMxxx to a $HW memory (double word) with command READCMEM and then copying the $HW memory to SERIALB:C1xxx with a command WRITECMEM but i have an error on timeout communication and a error macro. I think im writing in DEC and not in HEX. Maybe is this the problem? someone knows how can i do that? thank you valerio
