Rockwell did some upgrades and the older Memory clear methods doesnt work. You know have to do a ControlFlash to wipe the Memory. -

I second Bob. Look up Tim's youtube channel. He has some great videos about panels and UL508A. His heart is coming from a teacher trying to spread the knowledge. -
Red Lion Graphite HMI to PLC 5
JeffKiper replied to BobLfoot's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
You can run Crimson 3.0 emulator and do all the testung you need if you have the PLC already. It wont work over you laptop wifi it will require a hardwired connection. Ask me how I learned that little problem...... I do a bunch of testing with the emulator in 3.0 i just change the hardware to a 308A and start playing. -

JeffKiper replied to BobLfoot's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Bob I'm 90% sure you can do the hope. Off of memory when you the PLC comms up there is s path tab that allows you to do specify the path. I remember doing ut like an old school MSG path where 1,2,192.168.1.9,1,5,2,44. I dont remember the exact call out for the paths. -

Questions about PLC capability
JeffKiper replied to zc182's topic in For Sale, Employment, Services or Wanted
If you are looking for someone to do this let me know. I worked on the exact saws Bob is talking about. We used old school PLC back in the day. Now we would use ethernet devices and run. -
The MAM-KY02S is a dedicated processor just for Air Compressors correct?

In another thread DIN rail cutters where discussed. I am wondering how you all cut your wire duct? I use a hacksaw and cut it about an 1/8" long and trim it with a razor knife. I just don't have any good idea for making a square cut without trimming the cover to make it fit nice. So how do you-all make them look good?

Getting freelance PLC programming work

Get insurance!!!! One small problem and it could cost you a lot. -
Are you trying to use them on the serial or Ethernet? I have not used them. So take this advice for what you paid for it. You should be able to use the Modbus driver to talk to the EtherTraks.

Controlling Ultraware/Ultra 3000 with visual basic program
JeffKiper replied to kevinjs's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Host commands is what you will be looking for in the manual. -
I bought DIN rail and wire duct cutters when I was doing a huge job. Money well spent. I can layout duct and rail super quick. My helpers started out using hacksaws. The edges always looked like they where cut with a hacksaw and someone tried to clean them up. My local supply house has a DIN cutter and I used it a handfull of times. I was in another panel shop and they where cutting rail like mad men.

Micrologix with Opto 22 SNAP I/O
JeffKiper replied to Bering C Sparky's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
830 as remote I/O?????? Ken Roach what? ????? The only reason I don't report your account as hacked is because it is Modbus. I might have to ask Chris to monitor your account for more crazy post. I am having my local AB rep sample shop a 2080 Dnet card just to play with. I don't plan on using this as a control source just a play with and understand dnet a little better. -

Littell stock feeder, unsupported
JeffKiper replied to Joe E.'s topic in General Topics - The Lounge
Yes they are. I have been putting in ultra 3000 in place of the 5000. On some of the new machines I am looking at using kinetics motion and compactlogix.
